Ordered takeout pizza for the Super Bowl and while the website said it would take 2 hours, delivery came in about 45 minutes. My friend and I wanted mozzarella sticks and were really surprised to see they weren't on the menu. Instead, we ordered garlic cheesy bread, but one of the pieces was pretty burnt on the bottom. Pizza was good, but pretty greasy. Overall not awful and since I'm not a huge fan of Domino's, I'll probably be going back. read more

Childhood favorite always was great food. See, Was, idk what happened but I personally think that the quality has went down. I went there a few times since I have moved, and all but one time they let me down. I love ordering the Buffalo moe, there was literally no sauce on the dough. Just the Barbecue sauce on the top of the cheese, granted I did come close to closing time. Still no need for the lack luster of sauce on the pizza. Very yummy. My boy friend and I came here for dinner and got a medium seafood pizza. The crab was delicious and perfectly cooked on top of the pizza. We are the entire thing! Good pizza place, the pizza had nice thick crust, it was a little oily but still good! I think I am really spoiled when it comes to pizza. Living in NYC, I am able to eat probably the best pizza in the world (Italy excluded). Nothing will ever be the same after experiencing Lucali's in Brooklyn. And nothing will ever be the same after experiencing Lorenzo's. I think I might have post-traumatic stress disorder from this place. I worship good food. This place is sacrilegious to my religion. I came here before heading to the drag show on Oberlin campus. They don't sell pizza by the slice so I ordered a small pizza, with mushrooms and sausages. When I got home, and opened the pizza box, I saw something that resembled a pizza pie. It was covered in a white cheese that looked processed (and tasted processed). The sauce was bland, and the the mushrooms definitely came out of a can. It really tasted awful, reminding me of the days of school lunch. Argh. This place gets 2 stars b/c the guy at the counter who took my order was very friendly and helpful. I guess Ohioans have to be friendly, because you aint gonna make friends with food like this. FYI - This year the Drag Ball was canceled, and the "Gender Fabulous" show was a scaled down version. The Drag Ball is an annual event held in Wilder Student Union (known as the 'Sco) where the students come in drag (and previously it was associated with Transgender Awareness Week). This pizza place is certainly above average, especially by Ohio standards. I would even argue that this place is better than almost all of the pizza places in the Cleveland area, although that wouldn't say much. Lorenzo's has a few "out of the ordinary" pizzas, including the chicken pesto pizza and the lobster pizza, both of which are outstanding. As Dina H. remarks, the salads are made with iceberg lettuce, which I don't like, but that's my only criticism of the place. Great location--right in the parking lot of the Oberlin conservatory! Atmosphere? Cozy, warm, dark, a lot of red. I like it. On a damp, cold, winter day, get together a nice group of people and this place will make you feel warm and fuzzy inside. read more

Food: Yes, it's pretty greasy, but it's top of the line cheese and great "crispy on the outside, doughy on the inside" pizza. Service: Hit or miss, but after growing up in Oberlin, if I still lived there, I'd be pissed, too. I don't come here for service, I come for good pizza and they deliver (literally and figuratively). Ambiance: Whether you want to eat inside or outside, Lorenzo's has both. Outside is a nice, patio to enjoy the thriving metropolis of Oberlin, Ohio and inside looks like a nice, old pizza shop (the latter contains no sarcasm). Price: It's all relative when it comes to pizza, right? In Columbus at Ohio State, you can get a large Papa John's pizza with two toppings for $8, but that's because college students at Ohio State are poor. Oberlin College Students, on the other hand, come from big money on either coasts and, while they're all convinced that their parents should give their money away to causes that mean a lot to them this week, let's face it... it's not their money. In the end, $17 for a kick a$$ pizza on mommy and daddy's credit card isn't a big deal, esp when you consider your degree will cost $500,000. Overall: I love Lorenzo's. It's my childhood pizza shop and it always will be. Whether it's a pepperoni with extra cheese or the hawaiian, it doesn't matter to me. A quality neighborhood pizza joint. You can tell that they work hard. The pizza is probably in the top 5-10 percent in the state of Ohio. Highly recommended is the Mediterranean Pizza with eggplant, artichokes, white sauce, olives and feta. The eggplant is nicely crusted and blends in great with their pizzas. My only gripe is their cheese on their pizzas and salads. The cheese seems to be a little too strong. But then again, this may be personal preference. We love Lorenzo's The food is always consistent and very good. Meatballs, tiramisu, chicken, you name it, it's good. Our most recent visit last Saturday was delicious. The young waitress clearly would have liked to have been elsewhere, but we did not let that bring us down. In fact, her two co-workers more than made up for her grumpiness. As usual, we took 3 bottles of their house dressing home along with our leftovers. I cannot put into words how simple and how good this dressing really is! Delicious pizza, lots of cheese. Sauce was tasty, toppings were fresh. Food was ready before the quoted time. 10/10.

The pizza here is pretty good, but the service could use some work. They are good about getting stuff to you when you order it without issue, but the waiting staff do not seem to check tables much, and we had issues every time we want to get the bill. My girlfriend is a fan of their gluten free pizza, and they don't mind making it to order since her allergies mean that she cannot have a "normal" pizza. Even with her alterations, she loves the pizza and has trouble saving some for later (I have that same issue). As for the other food on the menu, I was not a fan of their Lasagna, which to me tasted like a bad Chef Boyardee copy, with a really small portion, but the pizza is pretty good. If you do need gluten free, be sure to call first to make sure it is in stock, they seem to usually have it, but sometimes they do run out. So better safe than sorry. read more

Among the students here, Lorenzo's has become a little bit of a meme because all of the interest meetings have free pizza from Lorenzo's and the conservatory does Pizza with the Deans at the end of each semester, pizza also provided by Lorenzo's. Personally I quite like it, my mom and I come here every time she's in town. We get the medium size and split it topping-wise. My favorite combination for splitting the pizza is combo and chicken pesto. The crust is your average fluffy crunchy crust but it's a solid pizza. Far better than dominos for sure! read more

Went here on the request of my Mom who had a great experience her first few times. BUT, of course my luck, I didn't walk away with much good to say. First off, I had to wait about five minutes to get greeted at the door. Finally got seated and waited about 15 minutes before I had to flag down a server who looked and acted like she smoked one too many doobies in her lifetime. She forgot our water, forgot to bring my salads. When the pizza came out, it was just so so. Crust was a bit doughy and veggies were uncooked on top. We sat by the door to the outside, which was propped open. So we had a lot of flies pestering us. YUCK! O M G! Grrrrrreaaaaaaat pizza! The star of this pizza was the crust! Crispy on the bottom, light & dare I say, fluffy, above. UNBELIEVABLY awesome! I've never had a pizza with such light & not over-handled dough! The sauce, was some sort of red, I can't say much more than that & it was topped with plenty of cheese & pepperoni. Gluten Free!! We had the pleasure of eating at Lorenzo's this week. When we arrived at 5:00 pm on a Tuesday it was starting to fill up, so we knew it must be good. We were greeted with a friendly smile and seated right away. Our friendly waitress quickly brought us water and menus. We had the Bruschetta, Ricotta and chicken wings appetizers. All three were excellent! I could hardly believe that the wings were baked...tasted great and healthier than fried! My pizza was really good, the sauce, cheese and pepperoni went together great on a nice crust. Two in our party have to eat Gluten Free. They have tried dozens of gluten free pizza over the years and said that Lorenzo's was the best they ever had. GF pizza is usually a hard thin crust. Lorenzo's is thicker and has great taste and texture. They were actually a bit nervous to eat it at first because it looked tasted like real pizza!! read more
