They also sold us on everything. We tried a lot and I will rate it below: Red velvet cheesecake 4.5 stars. It is absolutely delicious, maybe a nit on the sweet side and the red velvet cake part wasn't chocolate red velvet, but more like a super moist vanilla sponge cake dyed red. The cheesecake part was lovely. The cheesecake crust was the best part. It wasn't graham cracker, but house-made perfection and if the entire cake was made out of it, we would be happy. Doubles: 4 stars. The regular (vegan chickpeas) had a delicate flavor but was still well spiced. It is just messy and difficult to eat on the go. The shrimp double was also flavorful although the shrimp was a bit over being in the warmer. Currant Roll: 4 stars. We were informed this is their most popular item and a must get - so we did - and loved it. It is filled with so many currants, is balanced with a delicate sweetness that didn't overwhelm and the pastry itself was baked to perfection. It tastes even better warm. Guava strudel: 5 stars when heated. That guava inside the pastry needs to be bottled up and sold there...I would buy it every single time. Beef patty: 4.5 stars - Here is the thing with this one - it is not a traditional beef patty as the ones they make at multiple shops in that area. This patty is more like a soft fluffy bread pastry with a mild beef filling. It tastes so surprisingly good that we got two more to go. Banana pudding: 3.5 stars - It is frozen and we needed to wait for it to thaw out but once it did - it was so unusual as they use pieces of their vanilla spongecake with the pudding. You get a lot of vanilla flavor and perhaps not enough banana so when we got home, we cut up pieces of banana and added it in. I like a lot of creamy pudding though and the cake kinda soaked it up. Customer service: 5 stars all day long We would always go back and look forward to going again.

I know the difference because I've purchased their cakes from TGTG and this was definitely a $15 cake I could've gotten on TGTG but paid more than double that price. I looked online for nearby bakeries and they either were well out of our price range, or their reviews were not so great. I decided to give Gaby's a try because their prices were reasonable and their offering was varied. I had one of her roommates pick it up to surprise her. The staff was wonderful when I ordered it, and incredibly kind to her roommate during the pickup. Then the true test came when EVERYONE that was at her party loved the Tres Leches cake!!!! The decor on it was absolutely gorgeous and everyone raved about the taste. There was nothing left but a little piece she set aside to eat for breakfast the next day!! The trashcan, there was only one, was overflowing and needed to be tended to immediately. Staff was very friendly but distracted. I ordered two pastries and an iced latte but it took me going back to the counter three times in a 15 min period and was asked to repeat my order. I had a dark cherry/pistachio pinwheel (absolutely devine) and then we also snagged a chocolate chip cookie "cinnamon roll" with cookie batter frosting - OMG. Talk about pure decadence...HOLY SMOKES. The dough of the roll was so moist and chewy. I could have just had that dough sans any sweetness and been satisfied! We had to take the rest to go because there is no way anyone could eat that in one setting! Nibbled and shared it the rest of the weekend. Decor is so sweet and a lot of room to sit and visit while enjoying everything about this place. They even offer baking classes.
