We decided to stop here cause we saw this place was kinda new, the place is very nice and clean, we ordered our drinks and food and they came out very fast and everything was so good, the food in the photo is the protein bowl and it's very filling, our waiter bland was awesome and really nice and cool.

I recently heard of this place and wanted to try it out. There was no wait when we came here, and we could pick wherever we wanted to sit. They have a nice decor with different sentences written in Spanish which makes it feel like they put some thought into what you see as you enter the restaurant. They gave us salsa and chips quickly. I would like the salsa more spicy but my wife liked it. They had a special on appetizers when we were here, 25% off. We got the queso with beef. It was pretty good, it had more zing to it than the salsa. They have a fairly extensive menu, if you like Mexican you will definitely find something that you like. I ended up getting the "pollo con mole". I haven't run across many restaurants around here that serve that dish so I was curious. The chicken breast was nice and thick and even size. The mole sauce was good, it had a bit more heat than I expected of mole. It was also served with veggies and rice and also charro beans. I made sure to save room for dessert and we got the churros with ice cream. It was a good size, enough to share for 2-3 people. Good tasting churros and the ice cream went well with it. Overall it was a really good experience, the service was good, the GM also checked on us to make sure we were happy. We'll definitely return and try some of the other dishes they have.

Came here because I heard good things. Great decision. It's kinda in a weird location but don't let that deter you. Truly good mexican restaurants have authentic music. Check. Green salsa is fantastic but eat enough and your forehead will sweat. Lunch fajitas plentiful and tasty. There is not a better lunch bargain in Denton. $14.00. Beans and rice plain but you don't need them anyway. The El Viejon margarita worth every penny. Strong, refreshing, and a real treat for margarita lovers. Service was on point at the bar and made this lunch an awesome experience. I'll be back for sure.

Had an amazing experience at this Mexican restaurant! The service was top-notch--staff was always attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. The drinks were excellent, perfectly made and refreshing. we ordered (La Viejona) & (La Buchona) both of those drinks were good The food did take a little while, but that's because they prepare everything fresh, which we really appreciated. When our meals arrived, they were piping hot and full of flavor. The owner even came out to check on us, which was a really nice touch. She let us know that they have live music on Saturdays--definitely something to check out next time! The chips and salsa were great, though I personally would have preferred the salsa to be warm. Overall, this is a fantastic spot for authentic Mexican food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Fajitas and margarita

We had the fajitas and they did not disappoint. The frozen margarita was good and strong. I loved it! I don't think I could pick a favorite part of the meal. The service was great, everyone was very friendly. Go support a locally owned business!

I've been coming here for years. It's the best breakfast spot around, by far…read more Food: delicious. Lot of options. There are corn cakes, for those eating gluten free, if you're still wanting pancakes. They're decent. The cinnamon rolls are huge, & not a typical cinnamon roll, as they're made from scratch. Covered in icing! Biscuits are layered, & delicious. French toast is really good, but it's also the same dough used for biscuits, so it isn't like your normal slice of bread French toast. The coffee is from "Avoca," a local roaster in Fort Worth. Sooooo good. Lot of options for the fancy coffee drinkers, at the coffee bar BTW Prices: about $10-20 a plate. Pancakes are pretty big, so you will be full. Everything is reasonable for portion size, compared to price Environment- hipster. Open, can be loud if music is loud, making everyone else talk louder Service- you walk up to the register & order. Menu is on wall, as well as some handheld menus if waiting in line. So you don't have anyone coming to your table, everything is self serve, which is great I used to come here weekly, every Friday morning lol it's well worth stopping in and trying. Only issue I've ever had with it is parking, if it's during a crowded time lol

This is a little odd duck of a spot. We went on the recommendation of a friend. It was a little…read moreconfusing, because once you get there you wait in line to place your order. You seat yourself, but we had some trouble finding a clean table. Not sure what was going on, but it seemed like the people who bus tables were busy doing other things. Maybe expo? Then I was confused by how to get our drink orders (they give you one of those table numbers, and then the drinks area has a matching one they put out when your order is ready). So a little of a learning curve, but let's get to the good stuff: the food. This menu is unique and has something for everyone. I lean vegetarian, so I was looking for something on the lighter side. I got the caramelized grapefruit and a Bee's Knees, which is granola, honey, berries and warm milk. I chose the oat milk. I also got the blueberry latte with oat milk, which was actually a tea drink. It was a delicious combo. My partner got the loco moco with sausage and jalapeño butter, scrambled eggs and hash brown. He ended up wanting more than one sausage patty, but I feel like we will know for next time. His other wish was that the jalapeño butter would be more spicy. I will want to go back next time we are in Denton, because I appreciate any restaurant that spends time finding unique flavors and menu offerings, especially for people like me who are not into the typical heavy breakfast menu items. Give it a try!

We braved the Sunday brunch crowd, and now I completely understand why this place stays so busy…read more Even with a packed house, we grabbed seats at the bar and had a great experience from start to finish. The place is decked out with brunch esthetic and the bartender was friendly as can be. We started with a Million Dollar Bloody Mary and a Spiked Watermelon Wake-Up, both of which were made perfectly. For food, we ordered the Chipotle Steak & Queso Hash and the Power Wrap, and both were excellent. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and was served quickly despite how busy they were. If you've been debating whether the wait is worth it, I'd say yes. Great food, great drinks, and a staff that handled a busy Sunday brunch like pros. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

The lemon ricotta pancakes were super fluffy, and the lemon curd on top added a fresh, slightly tart twist that made them stand out. The steak chimichurri hash was packed with flavor -- bold, savory, and balanced with a subtle sweetness that tied everything together really well. And the barbacoa bowl? Easily a 10/10. Great flavor, great balance, and incredibly satisfying. Overall, every dish hit. Definitely a spot worth coming back to if you're in Denton.
