I think the food is not as great as the four stars I gave it, but it seemed clean, fresh, was fast…read moreand plentiful. I had the big salad with al pastor. It had refried beans, rice, iceberg lettuce, chopped tomato, a bit of cilantro and sour cream designing on top. I think there was a sprinkle of cheese. It was filling enough, but not very exciting. I would expect whole beans in a salad, and pico de gallo or other dressing. My husband had a macho burrito with chicken. It was pretty large with lettuce, tomato chunks, raw onion, refried beans, rice, skimpy on melted chedder(?) cheese and enchilada sauce. It was just okay as well (and looked better than it tasted). We were both really hungry with minimal breakfast and this at 4:30.

Great first visit. The enchilada plate looks small, but is deceivingly big. My wife loved it…read more I tried a handful of things- 1 fish taco, one tamale, one California burrito. The fish taco didn't look great, but tasted really good. The tamale was great. If I lived here, I'd buy a handful and keep some in the fridge for snacks. The California burrito with carnitas was really good. The fries inside were a nice touch. My only slight negative was they didn't put the salsa in the bag. It needed some extra salsa. The loaded fries with Al Pastor were also great and sinful. Loved the flavor of the pork- not as pineappley as some, but a really good rrich flavor. Well be back.

But now they've moved to some new secret location and they're never open. I'm a businessman and I'd like to make money, and I want to be successful. So I'm confused as to why Cafe Kai is never open anymore? Don't they want to be successful in making a profit? You would think that if you move to a new location, you'd want people to find where you are located, and you'd want to be open long enough to sell some product. Cafe Kai's food is very good but their location is terrible and their hours are horrendous. I certainly hope the owners at Café Kai will read this review and maybe they'll pull the heads out of their rear end and stay open longer and perhaps make a couple of signs showing the secret hideout where they have moved. We hope they will change course stay open longer so that we can find them. OK guys ball balls in your court.

I saw they had pineapple cucumber Pico de gallo, thought I would try that, as well as the pickled carrots (which is my favorite thing to snack on). There was so much flavor in the meat, it was juicy, and tender. The fries were fresh the guacamole was amazing. I really enjoyed the pico on the dish as well as the pineapple pico on the side. I wish there was more kick to the carrots. But I got Valentino at home, so it helped. I paid $20.xx before tip for the dish. My only thing I wish it had a little more meat (but that's because it was that good to me.) Nothing better than having an amazing meal after a very busy amd long day.

The hostess greeted us as we came in the door and waited as we perused the menu posted behind her. We asked a few questions about what was offered and any suggestions she might have. She was friendly, upbeat, informative and appropriately attentive. The restaurant was clean, open and airy. We ordered Enchiladas and large chips with guacamole, beans, and queso. The enchiladas were good, the guacamole was perhaps the best we have ever had and the queso was tasty and rich. What a great finish to our day!
