My friends and I came here for my sister's bachelorette dinner, as we were staying in Bremerton for the weekend. I called to make reservations two weeks ahead and was easy to do. Our experience was great! Lupita, our server took care of us and made sure we had a fun dinning time. We had the table side guac to start and it was delicious, after it was done being made, they had a taste a bit of we wanted to adjust any flavor or add more of whatever. I ordered the quesadillas-birria, presentation was beautiful and the portions were huge! It was served on a hot plate so it stayed nice and warm throughout dinner. Food is so overpriced and over cooked. All I tasted from my steak tacos was char from the grill. 3 tacos with rice and beans for almost 30$. Genuinely don't understand why anyone would pay for this and I'm disappointed w myself for doing so. Why is it so hard to find good Mexican food in the PNW. Arriving at a restaurant you don't know on Mother's Day is a risk we took. My mom was non-committal on where she'd like to go, so we did a small road trip and ended up in Bremerton. My fellow Yelpers helped me out again! We were greeted right as we walked in the door by two staff members and got the experience off to a great start. We had barely sat down and were greeted with chips, salsa, bean dip and asked if we'd like to add some queso as well. Hell yeah! Beverages quickly followed and our orders arrived soon after. The presentation was very nice, the food was well plated, and the each of us enjoyed our entrees immensely! It's been a long time since I've enjoyed Mexican food so much. The food was spectacular starting with the chips, salsa and frijoles. I had the polla al la crema and some Ribeye tacos. The grilled mah mahi tacos were yummy, too. I'm lioking forward to returning to try their mole with aside Ribeye taco. It is a comfortable restaurant with a very friendly and helpful staff. Their lunch portion was just the perfect size for which kept me from overeating because, if the portion was larger, I definately would have overindulged. Everything was yummy , we went to dinner before a show at Admiral Theater and it was perfect. Wife got the bone marrow, yummy, the only problem was we had to ask for her tortillas 2x before they came . I got the Mahi Mahi tacos, very good !! I definitely would come back. We were in the mood for some Mexican food and discovered Mezcalitos after a quick search. The restaurant is very nice inside and all of the staff were exceptionally friendly. We ordered some table side made guacamole which was delicious! For our main courses we had th pork belly tacos, steak tacos, mahi mahi tacos, and a chicken burrito. Everyone loved their food. There is ample street parking along with a private parking lot and the restaurant is located very close to the ferry station. Everything was excellent! I'm coming back for the bone marrow with steak toppings. My only suggestion or improvement (if you call it this) is to put it in a grooved platter or grooved butcher block. We went to the Bremerton Mezcalito's yesterday expressly for happy hour and after we were seated in the half-empty bar area, we had to request happy hour menus. After sitting there for 20 minutes, no chips and salsa came to the table, even though the folks at the next table arrived after us and had received theirs. We asked for ours, and the chips were cold and stale and the salsa was not its usual fiery deliciousness. (We've always thought Mezcalito's had the best salsa in town, but yesterday's was meh at best.) Onto our meals. The good: My husband's pollo poblano was superb as always, the mole rich and savory. The bad: My veggie enchiladas tasted like frozen vegetables were heated in a microwave, then wrapped in a tortilla, with some cheese thrown on top. Clearly I ordered the wrong thing. After we finished eating, our server asked if we wanted more drinks. We said no thanks, at which point he took away our margarita glasses, which we hadn't yet finished. My husband complained and, to his credit, our server comped us a margarita. When the bill came, it was on one of those handheld electronic devices where the server stands over you while you fill out the tip, and the minimum tip listed is 17%. The service we received was NOT worth 17%, but that's what he got. So the total for two entrees, two margaritas, a shot of Don Julio Silver, tax and tip was $97.73. Insult, meet injury. Mezcalito's has always been a favorite of ours and the manager is a lovely man, very kind, fun and attentive. I only wish our server was as good. read more

So disappointed. The menudo was the only decent thing. The scallops are an overcooked scallop in a bunch of miracle whip in a hard tostada shell with a slice of avocado. The enchiladas were incredibly bland and the sauces didnt help. The side rellano had no flavor or cheese even noted. read more

Big fan of this place. Service is always great, nice environment and clean, modern space. Everything we have eaten here has been good; nachos are enormous portion, and the tacos are excellent. The real star is the deals though. This place is great! 10/10 recommend. I've came here several times and every time great food & service. The molcajete is amazing, it's chicken, steak, onions and jalapeños in this to die for red savory sauce served hot. The flavors of it all are amazing. It's a huge serving but it was so good I finished the whole thing. No leftovers- def got to try dish. I also tried all the enchiladas, all amazing! ESP the mole! Do not let the looks fool you with that dish since it's a brown sauce, it's really great flavors. The tacos del alambre are delicious! The steak is soft and has the best flavor to it.. if you like meat the bacon is a great addition. I've ordered the piña colada mocktail- it was amazing. It's hard to find places in Kitsap that sale these drinks and to make them good is even more rare. Every time I go there I leave full and happy. Everyone that works there is so nice and makes sure your taken care of. Kind of like family when you're visiting type vibe. Oh and there's outdoor seating, bar area sitting & booths. We came here on a Saturday for lunch after a local Art Fair. This place is relatively new but it sounded like they had other locations. I will start by mentioning that their portions are very big. Because the prices were quite reasonable (especially compared to how much Seattle and Eastside restaurants charge these days), I thought the portions wouldn't be big enough to share. We had 5 people and we ordered 4 main dishes + appetizer and it was way too much food. My favorites were carne asada fries (so much meat!) and Quesa Birria (yumm). Other dishes were okay but not great. Service was very good and fast. The venue was surprisingly spacious inside and very clean. They also have nice outdoor seating and a full bar. This place is better than the Agave but slightly worse than Cactus (in my super subjective opinion of course). Very similar vibes as these two. so I ordered additional Carne Asada Fries to my $75 meal and took it to go because I wanted some mexican food for later and Im from San diego where tacos shops are generous with their meals, Ive never seen Carne Asada Fries have this much meat in them and Im truly so disappointed since I left a generous tip. The meat to fries ratio isn't even and I tried look under the fries to see if maybe they put more meat at the bottom but no , I live in port orchard so I don't even feel like going back and Im honestly not the type to complain but being from San Diego and having authentic mexican food damn near everyday... this was so unacceptable like why did they do this to me?! this little bit of meat, I just wanna cry. That is always awkward because you don't want to eat when the other person has no food. Then they asked is I would like another beer and I said yes. Everyone that came and helped us was so friendly too, and they had plenty of staff to take care of all of our needs. The chips tasted fresh and warm, they brought over beans and salsa and kept it flowing. I got the Mezcalitos Carnitas Tacos and they were amaaaaaaazing. So good. Angel was an Angel!!! We had Angel as our server and he was such a hard and efficient worker. Our drinks were filled even before they were totally empty. Food was delivered and additions were quickly presented. LOVE this restaurant so much we even had our wedding dinner here for 50 people.
