I used to come here regularly on Tuesday nights, but after my last visit, I will never return. When paying, I asked about a military discount and was told it was too late to apply. Fine, I let it go. I then asked if they could mix beef and pork in two burritos. The manager said yes, but when the bill came out to $34, he claimed it was because of extra meat. Right there at the restaurant I opened my burrito to check, and there was barely any meat at all. It was packed with rice and beans and nothing else. Forget extra meat. There was hardly any meat to begin with. When I showed the manager, he laughed at us and walked away speaking in Spanish. That was the moment I was done. On top of everything, the beef tasted burnt and the pork tasted old. I felt disrespected, overcharged, and completely ripped off. The food quality was poor and the management was worse. The food tastes good, and is worth the cost. Definitely not the tastiest Mexican food in Kitsap, but it does the job. The thing I noticed most about this establishment is how clean it is inside the dining area. When we came in, there was an employee cleaning every nook and cranny. It looks and smells very clean. "Fast food" service for a "sit down style" meal. The food was good and we loved the tacos. I would say my favorite was the crispy taco. The shredded beef was really good. I also stole a bite of my husband's adobado taco and I loved the flavor. He enjoyed the carnitas. This is a San Diego style Mexican fast food restaurant. It is pretty good for the area, and definitely better than taco bell, but it doesn't hold up to real San Diego places. The salsas have plenty of flavor and spice and will taste great on anything you pour them on. The soft tacos are okay, but the meats could use more spice. Except for the adobada tacos, those were very flavorful. The rolled tacos are pretty decent and have plenty of crunch. The nachos were very enjoyable but still could use more cheese. The steak quesadilla is flavorful and greasy, the way it's supposed to be. The quesadillas are pretty good. The rice and beans are also good and have plenty of flavor. If you have too much spice, the horchata is good and will help cool any burn being caused by the chile/salsa. The staff here is also very friendly and will help with any questions you might have. Overall it's good if you're on the go and dont want to cook but it's not the amazing food that SoCal is known for. But for Bremerton, as a fast food Mexican joint, it's a 3.5-4 star place depending on what you order. read more

I wanted to be impressed by this place. I ordered a a carne asada mulita, which was underwhelming with its itty bitty size. For $3 for that little thing I think I'd rather just get the ingredients together to make this at home. Beef roll tacos were a bit sad. The meat was good but it would almost be better if you just go to the Frozen aisle and get the Frozen taquitos. Very little meat. And the guacamole tasted a little funny. I requested extra cilantro and onions-doesn't look like I got extra.. The strawberry churro wasn't terrible although they do coat it with way too much cinnamon and sugar. Customer service was very good here, but as far as eating any sort of Mexican food I'd rather go to a few other places that I enjoy in the area. And their hot salsa wasn't too hot. I was excited to finally hit the drive thru for Aceituno's after several friends raved about their street tacos. My go to is the California burrito, which has a few variations around town but Aceiteno's version was just kind of meh. Yes the burrito was comparable in size to others in the area but I found the steak to be overcooked and grissle-y and completely disproportionate to the pico, cheese and potatoes listed on the menu. If you're looking for a giant meat pocket knock yourself out but this was a no for me. Keeping it to 3 stars to be fair because hubs and friends have enjoyed other menu offerings and the drive thru is super convenient I'll just have to try something else next time. read more

Had to go through the drive-through since all the restaurants are closed but the guy at the drive-through was super helpful and explained everything on the menu. I ended up getting the rolled tacos with beef and some chicken super nachos. The rolled tacos are simply amazing and a very quick and convenient snack on the road. The nachos were loaded with chicken and everything seemed fresh. The line moved fast and everything was packaged and presented as best it could be for having to order drive-through food. Oh, no. This $33 lunch was not good. Rice and beans cold. Really cold. Crispy tacos OK, but saturated in grease. Enchiladas thoughtless. One medium fountain coke, $3.45. The restaurant was cold, music too loud and after three prior visits, this is our last. Lots of new choices in Bremerton Landing and if these folks are going to succeed, they better sharpen the operation and perhaps consider serving meals on heated plates and not cold aluminum foil pans. Yipes, it used to be so good. And it was NOT crowded. Maybe now we know why. My wife said, "Taco Time is better." I agree. First time here and it was decent but definitely not great. Im a Southern California native so I had access to amazingly authentic Mexican food and this wasn't it. I got super nachos and hubby got super fries. My nachos did not have enough cheese at all, it was a tiny sprinkle and the beans tasted like canned beans. The super fries full order did not have enough fries, the plate was half full and again the tiniest amount of cheese and the fries were not crispy, they were soggy and unseasoned. My daughter told me about this place. So far, I've visited the Port Orchard (located near Fred Meyer) and Bremerton locations. The one in Bremerton is located in the old Taco Bell building near Shari's. There's a drive through and dining/order at both locations. I went inside. Bremerton has a larger dine-in area than the Port Orchard branch. For myself, I got a veggie burrito. I did enjoy it and would order again. For the family I got a few tacos (Taco Tuesday) family size beans and separate order of family size rice, and 1/2 order of super nachos. No one complained about the food. I've been here twice, so far so good. Staff friendly and helpful. Did not have to wait long for my order. Food packed up nicely. Nothing was leaking out of the containers. 4 year old granddaughter wanted the green sauce (not the red) and that was provided in little containers, no problem (she was happy). Would I return? I ordered a Carne Asada burrito. Every place that I've ever been to that is this exact same food chain you order a Carne Asada burrito you get Carne Asada on your burrito not this one this place you get mostly beans and rice, that's not a Carne Asada burrito, but they run their business differently and cheese everybody out of their $9.40 and give them two dollars of steak and the rest in beans and rice. Yikes! I grew up partly in a border town in SoCal. I was told repeated that Aceituno's was "legit" and "real Mexican food." So, that was promising. The location is . . . terrifying, to be honest. My hope was that they'd have nachos similar to an old Mexican chain restaurant we used to visit when I was a kid. These nachos were very simple: heated chips topped with melted, shredded Cheddar cheese. They had sides of pickled jalapeños and/or diced green chilis. When we came to WA, I discovered nachos were considered a kind of soup, so I stopped ordering them. It gets two stars--and I'm being generous--because the food was not bad enough to make me really sick, and it was cheap. The restaurant was not filthy so far as I could see. When we visited, there was some kind of custom show in the parking lot (Yeah, you know *that* parking lot.) The drive-thru was packed. That seemed promising. Unfortunately, it was so blocked up, we decided to take our chances inside. We were greeted by about three or four howling pit bulls in the back of a battered truck. I assume these were trained fighting dogs. I assume this because their first reaction to us was to become very hostile. It was a trip watching them try to chew their way out of the crates. I'll just skip to the food. We ordered takeout inside. Nothing really tragic happened, which was good. I wanted to try a half plate of nachos. The restaurant does not serve half plates, they said. Many things were not available because corporate did not send them what they needed. So the menu was more of a wish than a reality. I ordered the No. 2 (three beef crispy tacos, rice, and beans), a bean and cheese burrito, and chips and salsa (because there were no nachos outside of giant size). The food was almost edible. You might be able to eat it if you were starving. I couldn't finish the No. 2, and I felt guilty. It just tasted so bad. I guess I don't know "real Mexican food," but now I can honestly say I HATE real Mexican food. The taco was comprised of ghastly, greasy chunks of obviously frozen chipped beef. Lardy beans were on top of this. On top of that was tasteless cheese, similar in quality and taste to government cheese. A thin sprinkling of roughly chopped iceberg lettuce was crammed into the beans. There was no salsa or cream cheese. There was no guacamole. This concoction had been deep fried to the texture of a sandal which had been baked in the sun. Alright. So the tacos are revolting. Maybe the other parts were better. I moved on to the rice, which had been baked under a heat lamp until it turned crispy. Think very low-cost Asian buffet. This was tasteless. It was supposed to have some kind of seasoning on it. The predominant taste was paprika. I was reminded of Hungary when I ate a few bites, and hungry was what I would remain. The beans were very lardy. They were like an off-brand of tinned beans fried in lard. The burrito was described as "leathery" and "mostly tortilla." The coup de gras was the chips and salsa. I adore salsa. I make my own salsa. I generally love all kinds of salsa. What I ordered was not chips and salsa. When I was leaving, the counter person said, "You want red sauce?" I thought this was for my tacos. Yes, I said. Love red sauce. But at Aceituno's RED SAUCE is salsa for chips. RED SAUCE. Like the stuff in the bottle. Like Tabasco. Like you put on eggs. I was given a massive tin foil plate of chips from a bag, identical to the ones I have at home, and two tablespoons of red sauce. This was five dollars. I'm not sure how a chain can do this legally and get away with serving "food" that is this sub-par. Anyhow, you've been warned. If you want to experience this bizarre "Mexican Food" chain, be my guest. Just don't invite me. I like the burn, and I hate having to throw food out because someone can't cook. read more
