#10 - The Panadería (Whittier, CA) I've been coming to this Panadería with my family for over 30 years, and it's still one of the best spots in Whittier. I never wrote a review before, even though I've been buying their sweet bread for decades -- but this place truly deserves recognition! The sweet bread is second to none, and even though I haven't tried their Menudo yet, I can tell it's made with the same care and tradition as everything else they serve. I've tried bakeries in Los Nietos, Norwalk, and across Whittier -- but nothing compares to this one. If you're looking for delicious tamales for Christmas or New Year's, this is the place to go. A true gem for our community. Blessings to everyone who reads this -- may you enjoy these homemade flavors with your loved ones. In the name of Jesus, amen.

Special request for St. Patrick's day Their bread is always on point! Soft and delicious. Best bread in Whittier!

Very disappointed with the stuffed Rosca De Reyes, show me where the Calabasa is spread inside the Rosca, it was terrible!!

This is my spot for pan dulce, their bakery goods are always fresh, so good, and baked daily. I try coming early where the bread is coming out of the ovens and warm. They offer other desserts options, cakes, tamales, and menudo on the weekends. Great spot that I frequent and enjoy pretty much everything they make plus that it's all very affordable. The staff here are very polite, friendly, and attentive!!

This is a must try panaderia when you're in Whittier. Their pan dulce is the best. Always soft and oven fresh. Great customer service.

Just wondering if anyone can confirm the price of the tamales ? I've been coming here for years as well and it seems they always have different prices for different people. Are they $2.25 or $2.50 each?

The process was so simple and easy, I just sent an email inquiry and as soon as I heard back from them (1-2 days after), I called to place and confirm my order. For custom cakes, they require a deposit, and then the rest of the payment can be made near or on the pick-up date. They also go over their policy with you over the phone. My sister was very particular of how she wanted her birthday cake. She specified that she wanted a carrot cake with cream-cheese frosting, heart-shaped, baby-blue in color with sparkles, and have black bows. The bakery doesn't make any non-edible add-ons so I had to provide the black bows, and it turned out absolutely beautiful that we didn't want to eat it! Carrot cake was delicious, we all enjoyed it. Amazing job, and will definitely be back. Thank you Sugar Mamas Cakes and Bakery!

For this first trip, I found myself enchanted by the more traditional Korean pastries - the sweet potato creamy red bean bun, the curry croquette, the salt breads and rice crackers (one of their most popular items they said.) Most everything costs between $3-5. What a steal! I ordered their new item -- a banana latte made with their own banana syrup and cold foam to go with a double shot of espresso. It was tasty though seeing the old timers with their hot brewed coffees and bean buns made me wish I'd gotten something hot too. All in all, I had a great time at Cafe Bleu and can't wait to come back and try some new things. There are lots of tables and plenty of room to meet up with friends or work or do your homework.

One thing to note for anyone with nut allergies: although the ingredient label only listed almonds, there seemed to be other nuts present as we experienced an allergic reaction despite not being allergic to almonds.
