If I could give 1 star I would! They didn't have rib eye steaks up front so I asked if he had some. I have came here before and had to ask. Last time I didn't know they came frozen and didn't notice till I was home as I had my kids hold the food. Today I asked if he had some steaks that weren't frozen and he said yes. Then another guy from the back came out and asked if 1 inch was okay and I said yes and again asked me how many I wanted. It was around 4 pounds. Then rang up the meat and hit me with $69 for them. I asked him why is that price so high? He then got upset and didn't want to explain anything and the other guy walked away. Then he ended up charging me $79. Highly do not recommend this place! Crooks and there doors are open and flies everywhere. read more

The uptown farm market is my go to whenever I need a fresh pressed juice they use all fresh veggies and fruits! The juicery is located in the front of the store but If you park in the parking lot you walk through the market and it's in the back. The past couple of times I've gone they are always very nice! It's usually only one person working which takes a minute to her the drinks but that's because they are made fresh. They sell juices, shakes and some food items. For the freshness it is worth the price. This juice I got was for my sister who suffers from low hemoglobin and she needs iron so it has spinach, beets, orange, apple and pineapple. They have a sitting area and some TVs where you can sit and wait for your order. read more

I love coming into this market for Carne Asada and veggies. They have a pretty good selection of goods you'd find and any other market. The back part of the market that's closest to the intersection is a juice bar serving aqua fresca and smoothies, thrifty ice cream and banana splits. I had a green something made of celery, cactus, pineapple, spinach and it was so refreshing. The strawberry smoothies tasted like I was biting into a fresh strawberry. The staff seem to be very attentive and helpful if you have questions about the meats and freshly cooked carnitas and ribs. Overall it's Whittier's bests and I love Whittier because of places like this! read more

My uncle told me about this place! Its a little gem to locals. Best place to get your cuts of carne asada. Its usually very crowded during long holidays because its that good!! I heard you can call ahead if you have large quantities to make it easier and they usually give you some fresh made sausage to throw on your grille for free. This is a great little Latin meat market, a true hidden gem. I love coming here for bionicos and mangonadas. They're raw juices drinks taste great too! The parking is in the back not on the street. It can be busy so go early. They had a happy hour before, forgot to check for it today when I went to get this delicious bionico. They're crema is the standard of cream that I look for when I try other places' Biónicos. If the bionico cream doesn't taste like this, then it's not good. The customer service is always great. I love the green drink here, doesn't taste disgusting, slightly thicker than places like Nékter but just as good. I like them a little sour and they make it just right. You can also create your own raw juice choice with four ingredients here. I have been coming here for a few years now. The raspados and esquite are so bomb too. Bought some alkaline water. $1/ gal. But this grungy old man who services/fills up the water has no sanitary skills. Before he caps my water he stuck his fingers in the fish bowl( weird right, just dips his fingers. You can see the fish shit at the bottom) and then grabs my cap and puts it on my jug that goes into my water dispensary. I tell him what his problem. Then he RINSES his hands and said he washed them. But what's the point when my jug has shitty fish water in my cap. Keep any eye out for this nasty old man. This place does have some of the best asada in town and always fresh. Walked in to buy a watermelon juice (agua de sandilla) and the lady that made my juice was so rude. There was nobody behind me in line and I was unsure of what I wanted to order being that it was my first time there, she was very impatient with me and became upset. I wasn't taking very long in my opinion and because there was nobody in line behind me I didn't think it was a big deal to take my time.
