I had forgotten this place was around, when it popped up on Yelp in a search for local nachos. Asa big fan of Copper Lounge, I excitedly encouraged the spouse to try it out. Upon entering, I was delighted by the marvelous decor and ambiance... terrific artwork and well appointed with tropics-themed cane furnishings. Very romantic and chic. Also, very dark. The lighting was so dim we had to illuminate the menu with the ol phone flashlight. How glamorous! Well, it was also nearly too dim to eat by. Admittedly, middle aged eyes are less keen than youthful ones, and yet... truly, I will go back in daylight hours next time, when the gorgeous skylights can compensate for the scanty lighting. The server was prompt and perfectly modest in zeal and conversation. He saw to it that we received our order in appropriate time. Now, this is a tequila and mescal place, but I ordered from the specialty Michelada list, a cucumber lime version that sounded divine. I do love a Michelada, but sadly, this one was so abundantly salted that I couldn't finish it. (And I'll finish most beverages.) Very big disappointment. I'm sure any number of drinks on the menu are fabulous, but I can't recommend this one. I ordered the tuna tostada, and my husband got the birra nachos. The tostada had fresh tomatoes and cilantro, and the fish was very good and fresh (poke style). The seasoning left something to be desired, though. It was spicy enough, but I do wish there'd been salt and pepper shakers on the table. My guacamole-averse husband gave me the spoonful from his nachos, so that livened it up. As for the nachos, he seemed to approve. It was mostly cheese and meat (minus the spoonful of guac), but he said more ample tomatoes and jalapeños would have overpowered it anyway. I'd describe my food as that sort of high-society modest flavor - minimalist seasonings in favor of purist flavor from the base ingredients. Indeed not comfort food, but great for a lighter mouth and tummy feel. All in all, the flavor experience was so-so. However, the atmosphere is super solid. So I hadn't been to Los Conejos since they very first opened, but I was pleasantly surprised to see what they have done with the space. The decor is absolutely beautiful, we spent a good amount of the time there discussing how cool the art was and how great the space looked overall. I tried two different drinks, first a mango michelada and then the pink man's last word (I think that was the name) and I enjoyed them both. The second was definitely more my preference because it was fruity and sweet but also had some smokiness from the Mezcal. The nachos were absolutely amazing. I will be back for those alone. We tried the Al Pastor and seriously they were the best nachos I've had in a long time. I do wish they would expand their cocktail menu just a little bit. I am a sweet drinker and would love to see a few more options. Service was great, I don't remember the name of our bartender, but he had longer hair and he was very attentive. read more

Really nice and trendy, I love the lamps, chairs, bar area all the decoration basically, very practice in terms of location, they have a good availability I went with out any reservation and they accommodate us all in a nice spot, the staff is very nice and helpful, micheladas are great but the cocktails were not strong enough. Food was amazing they have the best beef nachos, we actually thought that they tasted like taquitos dorados bc they have a bunch of meet, come on Saturday they have a Dj and play very good music for like 3 hours. read more

New spin gone off track imo I ordered birria taquitos and was surprised with the driest meat. Salsa was decent, don't bother with their red salsa tho, it's real pasty. I had never been here before and I thought it was great. We had their nachos which were super yummy. It is nice to go to a bar that serves small bites. I did think it was a little overpriced for the portions, but that is kind of how everything is these days. The space is very cute, and casual. Great for drinks with friends or casual meetings. Our server as very nice and she suggested their signature Paloma, which was delicious! It was different than other Palomas I have had, and I liked it! We will be back! Oh! Also, fun fact: the straws are a sustainable straw made from agave, and they don't fall apart, which is great. read more

This place is a gem! It's in the same building as the copper lounge. When you enter the door to the building, you go right instead of left. The vibe is so cute! The way is one huge, white booth with tables and chairs in front of it. The mood lighting is perfect. They also have a great selection of drinks on their menu! I was feeling adventurous so I tried 3 different types of drinks- champurrado fuerte, Chile rojo, and Batanga. The Chile rojo was my favorite. At first you get hit with the sweet, tangy taste of hibiscus then the smoke of the mezcal takes over. The aftertaste is mostly smoke with a bit of sweetness. Delicious! It was recommended by the bartender Santi, who is an asset to this bar. He was friendly, more than happy to give recommendations, and always checking on everyone in the bar. I will come here again for sure to try all they have to offer- next time I'm thinking a Michelada and tacos! read more

Great spot and Incredible experience. Los Conejos is a tequila bar attached to The Copper. It's designed like a speak easy and has a really cool vibe. The decor is really cool as well. Came on a Wednesday night so wasn't too busy, which was good. On a busy night it could be a tight squeeze. Grabbed some spots at the bar and was greeted by a friendly bartender, Dmitry? I was pleased and surprised they carried my favorite tequila, Fortazela. After my co-worker & I sipped on some drinks and chatted with some locals we ordered some small bites. Bartender recommended some really good choices. Everything we ate was delish. Got Elote, the chicken skewers (had a nice kick to them!) and some goat cheese balls (my fav). They are in the process of expanding this side of Copper with an outdoor area. Music was very chill too and wasn't too overbearing that you couldn't chat. Lots of smiling and cool peeps here. Highly recommend stopping in for some drinks, especially if you are into tequila. Get a Fortaleza, soda with an orange slice. You'll thank me. Holy. Moly. We were quickly seated without a reservation on a weekday night. The bartender was super friendly! She got to our drinks pretty quickly and I really enjoyed the drinks she made. But, really, I have to rave about the food. Those tacos. I got one fish taco that was superb, bite size portions of fish that were crisp and accompanied by a citrusy slaw. The birria beef tacos though. Oh My God. Succulent beef with the oaxaca cheese melted in between made for a phenomenal mouth-gasm. And the elotes were pretty frickin' awesome too. Idiots at the bar that DO NOT know how to verify what real IDs look like. The bouncer and "manager" that denied me and my group entry because "we ran it in the back and compared it with another Nevada Id and it does not look like it." I told them to show me and scan it in front of me and the bouncer said they actually DO NOT have a scanner and asked us to leave. Upon arrival, we were told that without reservations it would be about a 45 minute wait. Having come specifically to try out Los Conejos, we settled with grabbing a drink on the Copper Lounge side and waiting it out. After about an hour, the hostess came back and let us know that the bar seating was available! We excitedly hurried over to find one of the smallest bars I've ever seen. There's probably only about 5 nightstand-sized tables, so we were grateful to have more space at the bar. I ordered the Batanga and nachos and both were absolutely delicious, but pricey. Ultimately, I thought it was a really cute lil place, but I am really confused as to why Copper Lounge chose to make their small space even smaller by adding Los Conejos. read more

We showed up right at 5 for a small work happy hour. We went right instead of left when we entered the building and ended up at Los Conejos. The bartender was super friendly and helpful. He made a great job-alcoholic fruity tonic water for me and margaritas for others. The vegan tacos were really good. Great tortillas. Will be back. I really enjoyed my experience at Los Conejos! Great atmosphere, hand-crafted agave drinks. The square footage is small, with seating along a short bar and a long pink "couch" that extended along one entire wall with low tables. This was the perfect setting for an intimate evening for 2. Love love this place! I came by myself and was so happily surprised by the vibe, decor, and atmosphere. The drinks were great, refreshing and the tacos were perfect to pair with. I loved the fact they opened the rolling windows to allow an open-air atmosphere. Great detail with the bamboo ceilings also!
