I knew after dinner we may wanna grab 1 more drink so I had checked to see if there were any new spots sine the last time we were in town. I hadn't heard of this Teddy Roe's so we grabbed a reservation for the late evening. After getting dropped off by a car we tried to find the entrance. I'm not going to give away the trick to it but it was fun. Once inside we got our spot that we held. I didn't see a drink on their menu that I liked that was rum based, so I asked the kind bartender if they could make me one. I only asked that it be alcohol forward, but that I was good if it was a more fruity drink too. They brought me a concoction that was perfect. It's a real nice place. The ornate ceiling and the beautiful bar added to the regal vibes of the place. I would definite recommend Teddy's; it's one of the best speakeasies in town.

I don't care for jazz. But it was great music and the place was packed. Everyone was enjoying it all and the vibe was a good one to be around. Arcy was behind the bar and suggested a few drinks. They were both good. Deviled eggs were good and the pickled purple onions were a good touch - though I still haven't come across deviled eggs that are better than my own The special of the day was pork chops. I'm not a pork person but I chanced it anyhow. I'll have to say, it was probably the best pork chop I've ever had. They sousvided it and it came with apple butterand it all worked beautifully. All in all, I'd definitely recommend this spot. Well done!

The baked brie I thought was very enjoyable and the filet was as well. I could have done without the contrived entrance lecture about house rules and being threatened with a baseball bat by some guy named 'potato ' or similar. The first table we were shown was in a back room, brightly lit under a spot light. Only after begging for a cuter, dark table in the main room (of which there were plenty) did we get one. I don't know what stung them about us... otherwise service was fine, maybe a bit overbearing. Of note, the entrance is by the black and white Al Capone wall mural; something to know because there is no other sign as to where this place is. Yes, I get that it's supposed to be a speakeasy but prohibition is over.

When we left the bar, I checked out the restaurant that was to the right when you walked into the front door of the Copper Lounge. It's has a very nice ambiance and it's not dark like the bar was next door. Don't have any other info on it but looked very nice. I would recommend checking these places out if you are looking for something very different from the usual places.

Very disappointing experience the other day at lunch. One of the people in our party ordered from the lunch special column. She later came back and said her manager said she could not give him any ice cream. The server apologized and said it was her fault for offering it in the first place. The manager humiliated the poor waitress and disappointed us over a scoop of ice cream. Very poor judgment.

He also, was friendly and funny, and took care of us without hovering but was somehow always there when we needed something. The food was excellent, with large portions, great flavors, clean ingredients and fresh new takes on a lot of dishes. I had the Sourdough Gnocchi with onions, brocolini, and added salmon. It was truly amazing! They had a blackberry shrub, which is non-alcoholic, that I was able to add alcohol to and it was delicious! We also had the calamari for an appetizer and it was beautifully done, perfectly cooked, with light breading, and excellent sauces to dip it in. If you haven't been, I would highly recomend you check it out!

The wait was about 30 minutes so we grabbed some drinks from the bar and took in the sun outside. It's a spectacular view from the top. It's been so long since I came up here and don't even remember if there was a restaurant before. It was the 60th anniversary of the tram so the entire restaurant was set up for casual dining. Once seated, we were bummed we didn't get a window. BUT, there was a table by the window available. I was told it was for somebody before us. Huh? Where are they? I hate to be that person, but I don't think that was the case. I kept my eye on that table and was going to cause a scene, but my partner told me to let it go. Anyway, the food was delicious. My partner had a side salad and a ceviche dish. She loved it. I had a side of tempura veggies (I loved tempura veggies and the mushroom was chefs kiss), some Santa Fe spring rolls.
