What a find! I'm so happy we found these folks! They've been amazing and super kind. We've been going here a few years now and had nothing but good service and what I believe to be fair prices. I came here for a check up and dental cleaning for my fur baby Chloe, and I couldn't recommend them enough. The staff were warm and welcoming. Dr. Choi and her techs were so compassionate. I trully felt Chloe was in the best hands. The hospital was clean, wait times were fairly short, and the prices were very fair. I never felt pressured into anything unnecessary. The only thing I can say about this Vet is they see $$$ signs in their head and not the real care of the animal. Twice in the last year, I have brought my dog in for not eating and some diarrhea etc. Before they even have the veterinarian look at your animal, they hand you a page of charges. The last time I was there there were $1000 worth of charges, remember, they had not seen my dog yet. I complained and they ran their tests and they only charged me $800. They didn't know procedures of any kind for that money just bloodwork They did something very similar the prior time I came in with him and it was still way too much money. Find someplace to bring your dog. We love our animals and we want to make sure they're OK but they exploit you pure and simple. I spent well more than $1200 into visits and my dog just has a sensitive stomach. read more

Went here and had to euthanize my dog. Staff was very understanding and empathetic. The staff treated my dog with affection as I would. I was there for the entire process until the very end. Professional and courteous and overall a good experience despite me being in a very emotional situation. After 12 years of being a good dog I said my final good bye here. Humanely done and she went out calm and peaceful Also their prices for this procedure was the best price out of 5-6 different vets I called. It's already super emotional to euthanize a dog, but to also pay high amount of money only adds unneeded stress. This place offers a respectable price so you can just focus on being with your dog. Our 12 year old cat hadn't eaten (or drank much) in two days so I took him here. The unfriendly/unhelpful female at the counter said it would cost $190 for an 'emergency visit', instead of the $85 she quoted on the phone. I asked when the next appointment time would be and she said it would be two days away. The Vet was done with surgery so I asked if she might be able to just 'look' at our cat to see if it would be alright to wait 2 more days, but the receptionist refused. Over the course of my life, and having owned 3 different pets, I have to say I've never run into a less 'humane' vet staff member in my life....It was her manner: cold, indifferent, officious, un-empathetic, and patronizing that stood out the most, and I asked her why she was even in the field? My mother is very happy with this place and everyone in there, that she also has me take her furbabies there. Last year in the smack of summer Dory got stung by a bee. It was her first time getting stung, and was going nuts and panting re. The stinger was still in her paw and I couldn't find it. This was my first visit to Los Coyotes, necessitated by my dog possible fracturing her tooth(!!) and my usual veterinarian semi-retiring and it becoming difficult to get an appointment with him without semi-retiring myself. Making an appointment was super easy; I called two minutes after they said they would be open and someone answered right away. Although there was a little miscommunication over the phone about what my office visit was about, it was nothing major and cleared up once I got in the office. My usual vet's office faxed over all my pet's information and it was already entered by the time I got to the office (awesome!), I just needed to verify the info to make sure it was all input correctly. There were other visitors in the lobby area when I arrived so I was expecting a wait which I was prepared for, but it wasn't much of a wait at all. My appointment was scheduled for 11:30 and I we were back with the vet tech by 11:40. On a Saturday afternoon, I consider that a win. We saw Dr. Choi, who was very efficient and knowledgeable. She was upfront about treatment options for my dog's tooth, all of which require a visit to a dental specialist. She was very helpful in getting me a referral and also laying out options to have x-rays and bloodwork done at her office, but she also never pressured me into doing anything immediately and said I could even have all that work done at the specialist's office. She answered all my questions and even came back before I was to leave to make sure I didn't have anything more to ask. Stress of a possible tooth extraction or root canal aside, I think I've found a new regular vet. Everyone from the techs to the front office was super friendly and made me feel very comfortable. Bonus! I had no idea my exam would be free since it was my first visit and I also got my dog's vaccines up-to-date and they give a $2 discount on all vaccinations on Saturday. read more

Broke my dog's leg. Just for you to reconsider visiting About a month ago, we visited the hospital to get our dog a rabies vaccine and nails cut (he hates cutting his nails at home. We failed several times). We waited more than an hour outside after one male nurse took him inside. When we met our dog, he was severely trembling in that nurse's arms, looking terrified. We just thought the vaccine might have hurt a lot. That was it. His left leg was dangly, and the nurse kept emphasizing that he would feel sore for a week on this left leg, since our dog got the vaccine on the LEFT leg. The nurse said that 3 times then gave us a dog's joint supplement. But when we brought our dog home, he couldn't even stand still. He held his left leg up the whole time and howled the whole night. We took him to the ER the next day and found out his leg had dislocated. He went perfectly fine; he never had any medical issues for the past 7 years. And the next day we took him to the vet, his leg got dislocated. Another thing we found talking to the vet was that He got the vaccine on the RIGHT leg, not the LEFT, as the nurse said. And obviously, they said they did not do anything. Yeah, of course you didn't. We first assumed that some accident might have happened while cutting his nails, since we know he hates cutting them. They said they had his nails done perfectly fine, and nothing happened. If they had at least let us know what happened, we wouldn't have been this mad. Did they drop him? Or did anything worse? I just feel awfully bad for my guy. They provided us the fee for emergency treatment, but no refund for that vaccination and nail care, which was $300+. My dog's life is nothing like the life he had before. He still cannot run/ jump, and even a 30 min walk exhausts him. I'm writing this to let you reconsider visiting here, especially if you have a small-sized dog. The "veterinary nurses" don't know how to handle small dogs properly there. I'm not angry at the fact that they broke his leg, but at their irresponsibility, unprofessional response, and indifference. THIS IS NOT AN ANIMAL HOSPITAL...a true hospital is open 24/7 and handles a wide variety of patent needs. Was not impressed due to their limited capability to address anything beyond the most basic of vet needs. The equalivant of Jiffy Lube for quick oil change...nobody likes to be told "oh we are closing in 30 mins...pay us a few hundred dollars and if your dog is still hanging in after the weekend, bring him back then. Otherwise go to a real animal hospital." After reviewing our bill after our shock subsided...I have to wonder if they really did everything they charged me. Good thing human hospitals don't have business hours. Will return to my normal place. read more

Great staff and Dr. Choi is the best Very few veterinaries accept to work with feral cats and Dr. Choi is a very knowledgeable, brave and compassionate veterinary doctor that doesn't say no to ferals. She took my senior feral cat for the fist time back in 2017 when Greystoke started to develop allergies from food and was becoming a bald kitty with sore skin; in an effort to give her a better quality of life, I trapped her and was determined to retire her from the streets after 16 years of this baby being a homeless kitty. Dr. Choi made some food recommendations and it gave her proper medication and it made a 360 degrees difference on her furry life... after this day I took her home to watch her diet and Greystoke adapted so well on becoming a house kitty, she loved it! Unfortunately, after a year 1/2 years Greystoke got pretty sick all of the sudden and on August 10, 2018 I had to call them last minute emergency call asking for help, they made special accommodations for Greystoke to be seen same day asap, on her situation where she was severely dehydrated and every second was critical... she ended up passing away in the clinic while we were making arrangements to take her to another facility to have a blood transfusion performed on her I will be forever grateful for the staff's and doctor's gentleness on handling the situation and bringing me my furry baby wrapped in a beautiful baby blanket for me to see her and hug her for a last time, they also gave a few minutes alone time with her. Later on the week, I also got a sympathy card on the mail signed by all staff. All I can say is.. Thank you! it's been rough not having her around and whenever i'm ready to adopt a kitty I will definitely use their services again. This is a long overdue review but i wanted to do it to express my gratitude. I highly recommend this place! read more

I'm all about caring for my pets but when you can't even write down what someone called in for and then send your husband home with something way more expensive that you didn't ask for and refuse to take it back that's just crappy. Front office staff is rude and untrained. Brought my pet in with upper respiratory infection, the assistant came in the lobby to interview me and he had no clue about anything. I had to spell UPPER RESPIRATORY. He must have been new. They took my pet to the back and I did not hear back for good 40min. After insisting with the receptionist that I needed an update, she het annoyed and told me that they were doing xrays and I should come back in 2 hours to pick him up. I had no idea! Then I get a call from the doctor, 3 days later and she did not even know what was going on with the pet. The vet assistant apparently did not tel her anything i told him. After I told her what the issue was she then prescribed antibiotics, but said they needed to order it. The cat was sick, and I still had to wait 1 week to get the medication!!!! Can you believe this? Even though I called every day, nobody was able to tell me when the medication was arriving. So disorganized. Needless to say, I will not go back there. read more

My husband took our dog to this vet because it was close to our home and we recently moved. We only needed a general check up to renew our dog's flea medication and we walk out with a $250 bill. We walked in for a simple check up to renew a flea medication and they ended up charging us for heart worm exam, heart worm medication, allergy shampoo, and an anal gland extraction. As mentioned by all the other reviewers, they only offer services over the phone and tried to sell us all these extra tests and add ons. My husband was so confused as to what they were doing because they were trying to sell us a million and one services that we did not ask for. They charged us $30 for an anal gland extraction! We normally have his glands extracted at the groomers for free. Completely overpriced and only focused on milking your money. Our dog's previous vet told us to discontinue giving heart worm medication because he is already on another medication. My husband comes home and tells me they charged us for a heart worm test that we didn't even ask for and prescribed us a heart worm medication to give. Do not go unless you want to be over charged and pushed to buy extra services and products. read more

I'm so happy we found this place 'accidentally'. Last Saturday my dog woke up with a limp and I started to freak out like a first time mom. Called 1 place and I almost fell out of my bed when they told me how much it was going to be to come in. That office referred me to Lis Coyotes and I'm 'howling' with glee. My dog's paw got better that same day, but we made an appointment and kept it because my dog needed some meds and was scratching his ears. When we got there, my husband and I were impressed that we could come in to the exam room! The people are EXTREMELY tentative to the humans and to our fur baby. They went over everything and even clipped his claws. Dr. Choi was great! She even called the next day to see how things are going! Never got that from the previous vet. BEWARE!!!! When we chose this Vet we thought we found good care for our new pup. Unfortunately, this was a short lived experience. We took our baby Hazel 4.5 month old Maltipoo in to see Dr. Choi because she was sneezing continuously and blood was coming out of her left nostril. Dr. Choi examined Hazel and wanted to do a skull X-ray, we had no idea what was going on and so we agreed. The results found nothing wrong and Dr. Choi said she may have inhaled something and it irritated her nose. She did say she could try to look up her nose but her scope would not show much and we may have to be referred to a specialty hospital that has the correct scope. She suggested we take her home and watch her the next 24-48 hrs. Since we had no idea we paid $400 for this service and put our trust in Dr. Choi and took our girl home. The rest of the day/evening things were still the same, Hazel was acting like herself, but she would have sneezing attacks of 15-20 times in a row with blood. I called Dr. Choi that afternoon and she again said she could try to look up her nose but her scope would not show much and we may have to be referred to a specialty hospital that has the correct scope. UGH!! Why was I going to have my pup go through a sedation if the Vet could not give me any inclination of what may be going on?! That night, I threw it out on Facebook and asked friends and family if they had ever been in this situation with their babies. Just like that so many people told me It had to be a Foxtail! Early the next morning I got on the phone and called another Vet that I was referred to us by a friend. We walked in the office and within 5 min this Vet told me he was pretty sure it was indeed a Foxtail! The Vet removed the Foxtail and we were home with our girl in approx 1.5 hrs!! And at half the cost of the first visit to Dr. Choi!! A Foxtail had NEVER come up in the conversations with Dr. Choi!! And the skull X-ray should never had been on the table, thus the $400 charge!! So disappointed and Angry! Thank goodness the Ambassador Veterinary team was there for us!! read more

Honestly such a amazing place to bring your pet. I Rescued a dog from a bad situation. No one in my area had availability. They squeezed me in, gave him all the treatments and medication he needed. I drove very far! It was worth it trust me. The prices were a lot better then any vets I called. Im talking blood test and heart worm testing. Fair priced and made sure he got everything he needed.
