HOWEVER, both my adult sons are vegetarian and on TWO OCCASIONS (the last one after I had specifically requested not to), the "shrimp burrito" was served with lumps of chicken included. Our go to for Mexican in south metro. Great green chili and food options galore. Service is quick and attentive with friendly staff throughout. Recommend their chili relleno nachos and anything with chicken or carnitas. I didn't give a 5 star only because I would not recommend any of the steak options as the meat is generally over cooked making it too chewy. read more

Particularly for the price, the food was very disappointing. $18 for a combo platter - the food was bland and not fresh (tostada not crunchy, etc). The salsa is spicy, nbd, but the mild salsa we requested was tomato sauce with some herbs mixed in (confirmed by a waiter). Nachos were a bit stale. Los dos is very popular, with considerable wait times at dinner time. The decor and ambiance are pleasant. It used to be our go- to Mexican restaurant, but we've had a few bad experiences in the past year or so. Three times in a row the cheese inside cheese enchiladas was still cold and solid. Twice the "crispy" chili rellenos were totally soggy. When we told the waiter that the rellenos were unacceptably soggy, he merely shrugged his shoulders and walked off. We took out of town guests who wanted good Mexican food for dinner. We were really embarrassed by all four meals. We're now looking elsewhere for our Mexican food. read more

I hate to let others know about this place; I call it the absolute best Mexican food in all of Colorado - period. Wow! I love the atmosphere here. Everyone is super kind and caring. My friend and I sat at the bar with Jose and Angel (sunshine) taking care of us. Our Chimichanga burritos were literally like soup. So soggy and just gross. Highly recommend avoiding take out at Los Dos. In addition, I got beef and my wife got chicken. The beef used in my burrito was hamburger. Not sure if this is normal, or if they were out of shredded beef, but it was disgusting and extremely over salted. Ultimately this was an expensive meal and barely edible... Salty Burrito Soup lol... No idea who thinks its a good idea to dump so much runny sauce onto burritos (or anything for that matter) and not on the side for a take out order. We tried to call and complain but no answer. We have had Los Dos sit down many times prior and it has always been good. I do not thing take out works though. read more

We visited this restaurant on Sunday 5/18 at around 2:45pm! The restaurant was pretty open and not too busy at all! We love, los Dos and have been to the Parker location numerous times! This visit to this location was one of my worst experiences , ever. Took 5 mins for a waiter to even greet us. Fine! All good. We were ready to order and all! Waited.. waited and waited... around 35/37 mins of sitting and still no food! I asked to speak to the manager, the female managers came to the table, stood there and looked at me. I asked "is your average wait time 35 minutes for food?" She responded "31 minutes..." uh ok. So I said "is your average wait time 31 minutes for food?" She responded "It's number 41. It is so thick it takes a long time." My 67 year old dad had ordered that. He literally apologized to my family at the table thinking he was holding up the table. She says the rest of the food had been ready. Wow? So Our food sat up there for 20 mins?! She said, "do you want to wait for his or do you wanna eat?" I said go ahead and bring the food out. Because I'm calling bluff. 5 more mins goes by and they bring my dads out first!! It was about an 1/8" "thick" are you kidding me?! There is no way in hell that took even 15 mins to cook!!! Following his food, was my mom's my eight-year-old, daughters, taquitos. Mine was last. A stuffed Sopapilla. She tells me she has to make a new one cause mine was soggy? Uh ok. I cut into mine and it's not even made right! lol nothing was in it! A pile of shredded beef on TOP of a corner of a sopapilla! The menu specifically says with refried beans add chicken or beef for $2. I asked to speak to the manager again. I cut open the sopapilla and showed her there was no beans at all. She says "you ordered beef". The fact that I could recite the order description on the menu better than her unacceptable. At this point we've been waiting 45 mins. I'm pretty upset. She's lied several times, no accountability for WHATEVER Or WHOEVER made a mistake on her line. Because this could've been SO easy And she allowed my dad to apologize for her lie? If she would've said, "I'm sorry my waiter forgot to put it in" "I'm sorry the chef is behind" "I'm sorry the ticket got lost" anything!! Not making my dad feel bad and pretending we were crazy. As a business owner of 22 years and a mother to a chef (who works in a kitchen at a restaurant) The phrase I am disappointed is an understatement. The bill was comped. Which is appreciated. Parker, CO location: Frustrating: they do not take reservations. We had a party of 12, and we tried to make a reservation. We were told that they do not take reservations, per their policy. They also would not allow us to call ahead to put our name on their wait list. Almost every time I have tried to go here for dinner, we have found over an hour wait. We will not risk that for a party of 12. Unfortunately, they have lost our business many times. The people are nice and the food is tasty, but there is not enough room to wait inside or out when they are busy. Los Dos Postrillos management: please consider taking reservations! Took my wife here for lunch for the first time on Friday, and was pleasantly surprised by the quality and originality of the food. Most Mexican restaurants in the Denver area serve the same old same old, but Los Dos Potrillos puts some creativity into their menu. We started with the Chile Relleno Nachos for something different. This dish is really tasty - crispy chile rellenos sliced up and covered in pico de gallo, diced jalapenos, cheese and a medium-hot salsa. Quite unique and interesting - I'll get them again when I return. My wife had the steak burrito (not exactly unique, I'll admit) and said it was "the burrito she's been looking for her whole life." Beef, cheese, grilled onions and refritos on the inside - the beef is seared nicely giving it that slightly crunchy, "off the grill" texture that makes a steak cookout so great. Covered with lettuce, tomatoes and melted cheese, and lots of spicy green chile poured over the top. My wife says the hot chile was a bit too much for her palate, and she'll get the mild chile (or add a margarita) next time. This is located on the steak page of the menu, not in the burrito section. I had the Carnitas plate, only available Fri-Sat-Sun, and it was really, really good. Delicious pork (shoulder?) roast with the cracklin still on, marinated after cooking in some absolutely delicious, way-spicy sauce containing lots of onions and bell & spicy peppers, served with rice, refritos, pico, lettuce, tomatoes, guac and a stack of tortillas. Too much food for either my wife or me to finish - not so unusual for my wife, but when I can't finish, you know they're not skimping on the portions. Service was quick and pleasant, but not obsequious, which is a change from being either falsely fawned over or treated like an irritant, as you get at some of the local joints. The only drawback was the volume of the Mexican pop music - made it a bit hard to converse. read more

The food and prices is right at the A-OK level, but the service was very off-putting. I tried to ask the waitress a question about the steak and spicy shrimp fajitas, but there was a slight language barrier. I quickly retracted and just pointed to it on the menu. I also asked for some habanero salsa too. I munched on the chips and regular salsa as I waited for my food. I don't remember how long it was, but the stuff for my fajitas came out. The tortillas, lettuce, guac, cheese, sour cream, beans, and rice, but not the proteins. I assumed it would be following immediately, but it took maybe 10 minutes before the steak and shrimp came out. Food-wise, this place is pretty decent. Shrimp was good, steak was good, tortillas were nice and soft. I didn't get a refill for my water the entire time, and nobody ever once came by to check on how dinner was going. After I finished my dinner, I placed my napkin on my plate as I thought that was the universal signal to indicate that I'm done. I waited at least another 10 minutes before my waitress came by to clear the table and ask if I needed anything else. Once I got my check, I did notice that there was a $3 charge for habanero. Could have sworn I saw that choice of salsa was included with each entree, but I could be wrong about that. When I asked the waitress what the "habanero" line item was about on my bill, she responded "habanero." I just paid the bill and left. This visit wasn't the best dining experience, and it's unfortunate that we started off on the wrong foot. I'll give it some time before I do a revisit and re-review it. read more

Unfortunately, this review has nothing to do with the quality of food at this restaurant as we decided to leave before being seated. I used their call ahead option and was told the wait would be 30 minutes. When I showed up 15 minutes later, the wait was still another 30 minutes. Apparently they use some system where they cut the time in half when you call ahead but that time doesn't start until you get there. That would have been a nice thing to know when I called. The food was great! The chips were fresh the salsa is well seasoned and it's complimentary. I had a chilli relleno, taco, chicken enchilada with beans and rice, the #13 great portion truly authentic, my companion's had the steak burrito #44 omg the steak melts in your mouth. This was my first time having fried ice cream I can definitely say it was worth the first try! And the churros made fresh and we're impressive! All in all we stay about 20 miles away but there's no doubt about us coming back!
