We were looking for a place to have dinner with our dogs. They have an outdoor patio just for that. We were greeted by a gentleman at the front door who took us out to the patio and asked about our dogs. The server came out to help us and another brought bowls of water for our pups. Our food came and it was delicious. That gentleman then came to check on us and asked if he could bring out some chicken and rice for the doggies. The dogs loved it. I went in and had a dinner about three months ago with my partner. we both agreed very quickly that this was probably one of the lower tier restaurants we've ever been to ever. We only stopped here because it's on the corner in our neighborhood. The chips were completely saturated in oil or grease, the entrées we had did not have much flavor like you would expect in a typical Mexican restaurant. On our way out we met with the owner. Tim had a neon advertisement sign hanging in the window that was flickering and broken. Tim took my phone number and told me it was mine when his beer rep came in to take it down. He told me to come back in two weeks and I came back six times over three months (to be clear I didn't eat any other times I just was checking on the sign) It honestly seems like he was just trying to shove his poor quality food down my throat and force me to come back as a customer. Two nights ago I came in for the 6th time and met with Tim at the bar and asked him once again what was going on with the sign. Tim actually relocated it in the restaurant and decided to back out on our deal and not give me the sign. The funny part was he gave me his phone number like he was somebody super important and I needed it or something. He tried to give me a free dinner which I declined because you could not pay me to eat here again. He told me to call him the next day and that he would arrange delivery of the sign. I called him the next day and he never answered or return my call, completely ghosted by this guy. Then I text him the next day and he never returned my text or my call from the day before. I however, blocked his number after I sent him a text, letting him know how poorly his behavior was backing out on this deal and I told him how horrible the food was at his restaurant, he binge called me 39 times like an angry ex-girlfriend. You don't have to take my word for it just scroll down and look at how he engages with his customers that try to give him feedback on his restaurant. He's like an angry three-year-old that doesn't get his toy before bedtime. Has to have the last word in. If you have any type of dialogue with this guy, it will not go well. Like I said, just scroll down and look at what other customers have said and how he responds.... He calls his customers dumas.... Tim, you should realize these customers work very hard to earn the money to come into your establishment to waste it and when they share feedback with you to insult them like that, super sad on you dude. I absolutely will never come back to this restaurant again. There's a place not even 2 miles from there called los Dos Potrillos and they have 6 locations across Colorado. There's a reason for that because they serve amazing food and I recommend you go there. The ownership at Casa Caliente has zero ethics, dignity or respect (I can't stress it enough just scroll down and read other reviews that he's responded to and see it for yourself). Good luck to Tim, you absolutely need it. As of 5/5/2026 there is a poor 3.5 score here on Yelp for this place. Terrible. (I will bet you my life they'll be a response to this pointing all the blame to me just like all the ones down below. A friend and I were trying to find a place halfway between us to meet for Mexican for dinner and we randomly picked Casa Caliente. Fun funky decor, good selection of various margaritas and drinks. (I had the Diva Margarita). The menu is a good sized and has a nice variety - and it was refreshing to see so many salad options other than just a classic taco salad. We started with the chips and queso; the queso came out nearly boiling and was super tasty. I had the birra taco special with black beans and rice. The tacos were delicious! My friend had the enchilada which she said was good, but neither of us liked the super bland refried beans. My friend and I would often go here to have margaritas, chips and sit at the bar. Sarah, the owner, was pretty friendly and Pedro, one of the staff who helped us often, was awesome - the tips we left Pedro were higher than 20% and well deserved. Then ... last week we were helped by Jackie and her attitude turned us sour on this place. My margarita wasnt good for starters, and I left it untouched when she finally came around with the check (she never came to see how we were doing, if we needed water, etc). So a full margarita is sitting there and she never asked if there was a problem, did I need a "to go" cup, hey let me take it off the check ... nothing. Just pay for it. My friend has asked for a sample of a flavor she mentioned... she came back with less than a tablespoon full of the syrup for us to share. (He asked Sarah later and she gave him a small cup of margarita that he could SAMPLE on his own.) My friend made a comment to "Jackie?" about "thanks for not following up about the sample" and she smugly said "you're welcome". She said nothing more as she waited for us to pay. My friend closed by tipping her nothing saying "customer service like that you pay for it come tip time ... good luck in making money tonight" ... she smirked and said thanks. We enjoyed talking with Sarah and Pedro, but her attitude turned us off to ever going back. We had a coupon from a local school promo, so we decided to check this place out. Nicely decorated, welcoming staff and great smells as we came in. We were seated right away and treated to very tasty fresh chips and 2 types of salsa. They're worth the trip! We finally figured out what we wanted to eat, grabbing steak fajitas and a combo plate with 2 chicken enchiladas and a beef taco, all with rice and beans. Very generous portions and waitress was on top of things. Beans and rice were good. Unfortunately, the 'Tex' part of the 'Mex' came into play when it came to the meat seasoning. Chicken flavor was just odd, almost lacking depth. Steak was a bit burnt and again, not real flavorful, but combined with all the rest of the fixins, a good meal. Decided to grab flan for dessert and it lacked the liquor flavor and other flavors that make flan worth having. Should've grabbed the fried ice cream! Now we've enjoyed years of genuine Mexican food in Ensenada and Southern California, so our preferences are built on those experiences. But, overall, great staff, comfortable seating and quality food at a reasonable price, so worth the visit. read more

We found this spot while in the area looking for something new. It's very chill. I love the decor & ambient lighting. They also have over 100 tequilas & an 8 page drink menu with a very impressive margarita list. We were seated immediately. My hubby loved the country music playing instead of the usual mariachi music. I, myself, was happy when I found a pineapple jalapeño tequila & had my 24oz marg made with it and a tajin rim. Yummy. Hubby had the chimichanga & I had 2 crunchy tacos. The food came out hot & quickly & were large portions and flavorful meat. I really liked the crunch on the shells. The salsa isn't too hot either. Wait staff are very young and inexperienced and explains why there was no one in there and help wanted signs on the door. Please avoid if you're trying to have a peaceful meal. We purchased a coupon package for Casa Caliente from some high school kids for their football team fundraiser. We had come here several times years ago, but kind of forgot about it because we're big fans of the local small-chain competitor Los Dos Potrillos. Since we had the coupons, we decided to give this establishment a try. The portions are enormous, the house margaritas very tasty, and the complimentary chips come with three different salsas for dipping - a very mild corn salsa, pico de gallo, and a salsa picante that's perhaps a little spicier than that found in most local Mexican restaurants. We've returned a couple of times and found the food quite good, and the service friendly, prompt and courteous each time. My one mild complaint is that the food could be hotter when it comes out of the kitchen. The coupons expire with the New Year, so we'll be torn between Casa Caliente and Los Dos the next time we're hungry for Mexican. The Littleton and Highlands Ranch locations of Los Dos Potrillos get really packed on the weekend, so this might be a good alternative for those who don't like to wait for a table. read more

We had our office Christmas dinner here this past week. We were seated in an area that we could not all fit comfortably but the waitress did her best to accommodate us by moving a table. The chips are pretty good. Warm and a little oily. The queso was decent and there were three salsas that were good. The guacamole was fresh and very good. I ordered the shrimp fajitas. Not so bueno. Lacking flavor throughout. The refried beans are too thin and the rice was mushy. Only one shrimp seemed to have any seasoning on it and the peppers and onions were way over cooked. I was disappointed by our last visit to the Casa but we needed to have a Mexican dinner with a friend so went back. This time my wife ordered her 2 ala carte enchiladas and she said, "These are the BEST enchiladas EVER!" Because she ordered them ala carte they came in separate dishes which was a surprise but they were great! I had the pork carnitas in flour tortillas. They were very tasty although I think the next time I'll have them in either hard or soft corn tortillas. Took one home for lunch the next day and it was really good again. I'm talking forceful splatters and I feel bad for my toilet after what I'm putting it through. I had the grande burrito and it wasn't awful, but it wasn't good. It was soggy and there was barely any beef. The beef that was in there didn't taste seasoned. If you like wet bland burritos, you'll love this one. I rarely give a 5. I couldn't believe how fast the order was prepared and delivered. I took a chance on this place because I was tired of the old place and was looking for authentic green chili. I think I searched for an hour just looking for a place that had green chili featured. Price was really good, portions were huge, and food was fresh was fresh and yummy. ​Sometimes you just have to take chance and try something new. The only thing I would add is that the guacamole had very little salt. The old restaurant had too much salt in their guacamole. I would much rather have not enough than too much. I am originally from California, and this is the ONLY place I have found so far that comes close to great Mexican food. They don't smother their entrées like other places near Highlands Ranch and Lone Tree with sauce so you can't taste it, or drown their food with Pico (these are all signs that they know their food is sub-par). This is one of the closest restaurants to our house so we've dined a few times when the craving for Mexican food hits. It's not my favorite Mexican food in the area but gets the job done. Most notably, I appreciate the fast service, casual atmosphere, and fresh chips with a trio of salsas to choose from. We usually don't have a problem grabbing a table on the weekends but that may change as restaurants continue to fill up again. One of my favorite dishes to order is the chile rellenos platter that comes with rice and beans. My husband likes their burrito which can often pack a spicy punch! They have a great kids menu and also offer crayons which is always appreciated to keep my toddler distracted. Immediately was served hot tortilla chips with three types of salsa. Ordered two combos and got enough food for multiple meals for an amazing deal ( ~$12 a combo).
