My friends and I were looking for a Mexican place to have lunch and we decided to go to the Los dos Potrillos this past Tuesday. Our waitress was very attentive and carefully explained every item on the menu to me and my picky friends even when she seemed to be busy. I ordered the Chile relleno nachos and my friends got the Taquiza, our food came out so fast that got us thinking, but ended up being super tasty and warm, if you ever stop for lunch ask for the rellenos nachos they are outstanding and don't forget to ask for Lissette she's the best!! read more

Found this place during the pandemic. The food was great at first. The service was quick. Almost went every other week. Then about 1 1/2 month ago I ordered a big lunch for our family's small gathering. Everyone was about to enjoy their food until 2 short black hair was found In one of the dishes. Took it back to the restaurant and the manager indicated that he would refund the part of the bill for the dish. It's been over a month and we never heard back from them. No refund! It's not about the few bucks. It's about basic courtesy. Noticed the service dropping off well before this incident. We have found missing tortillas or other small items from our order a few times before the incident and shrugged it off. It seemed the management had been going through some tough times and the services were dropping off significantly. Not going back again. It's a shame because the cooks there are really good. We have been going to Los Dos for over 10 years. Their food is always fresh and delicious. We have so many family favorites, but tend to lean toward Steak Picada, Chile relleno nachos, Mexican hamburgers and the number #10. Will the wait was 30-45min during happy hour, we just pulled up a chair at the bar and ordered drinks for the wait. The happy hour margaritas were enough to get me back. Once we were seated at a table, the chip and salsa were already there waiting. The order of Queso came super fat. Our waiter was extremely helpful...especially since I am a pescetarian, he made sure to as if I wanted the green chile sauce vegetarian or their regular (which is made with pork). Just like everyone has said, the Chili Rellenos are so good. I got the crispy instead of soft and was not disappointed. The dish also came with beans, rice, lettuce and tomatoes on the side. Best Mexican Restraunt around that my husband and I have been to since we have live here since 1993. The Waite is never very long, yet the restraunt is continually busy. The food, always Tops. Never Sisco mixed. Always real mexican home made food just like you had hoped when you first came to visit. They have really comfy Booths, and tables for family style meals. The have a full bar, and wine drinks, and soda for all. They also serve chips and salsa like one would expect from a real style mexican restraunt. This place is still amazing. We might have to go there again tonight. The service is always excellent. Don't cry if you have to wait this place is awesome. The call ahead sytem helps but isn't going to get you seated like a reservation. The top shelf and coin margs are awesome and most people only need 1. Pro tip. Go on a Mon-Wed evening, call ahead to cut down wait time, get your marg at the bar while waiting, if you score a high top in bar area while waiting ask host for chips and salsa to hold you over until your table is ready. Molcajete with tomatillo sauce is the best thing to eat there IMO. Had it about 20 times at any of the 3 locations. I think they need another location at University and Countyline to help reduce wait times. LOL It would be packed also. read more

We freaking LOVE this place. It's our favorite Mexican restaurant and you'll find us here on a weekly basis. They are usually packed even on week days. Queso Blanco is to die for, my husband thinks it's even better than queso you get on the east coast. Our favorites are monterey chicken and fajitas although you can't really go wrong with anything! Flagged someone down to get our drinks ordered. Then we sat a while longer as the tables around us were set up for future customers, before our orders were finally taken. Margaritas were so-so, neither of us finished ours. Salsa was hot for the sake of hot, but runny and not very flavorful. His enchiladas were decent, but my vegetable burrito with black beans was gross. The sauce was a strange, sweet brown sauce (?) and the veggies were absolutely swimming in it. Sat a bit longer with plates pushed to sides until we asked for the check to be brought. With the high number of customers at tables and in the bar, we expected an amazing experience. It was not. We've been here twice now, both times for lunch before playing mini golf nearby. The first time we were with friends and our mate ordered us these great margaritas. No idea what was in them. This time I had a non-alcoholic Marg because I'm pregnant. It was ok but not something I'd want again. It's hard to balance flavours when it's missing the best part. The salsa today was very spicy. Chimi came out burnt covered in cheese trying to hide it...tried to suck it up and eat it but it was so bad I sent it back...I get the same chimi returned how it should be cooked but half the size of the original burnt one I was bright. I ended up ordering the steak and jumbo shrimp fajitas for my meal. The steak was fine cut of meat. I am thinking it was probably ribeye based off the tenderness and fat content.
