    Fajitas Texanas
    Alexandria S.

Was craving Mexican food so decided to stop by here. We ordered the Texanas fajitas for two and a side of queso. The food was a little bland and not very seasoned. There was also so much grease at the bottom of the fajitas that we weren't able to finish it because the food was dripping with it. The service was decent so I would still probably give this place another try.

The staff and service was delightful. The ambience was very festive fresh made to order food I had the taco salad on this occasion, and it was very fresh and flavorful

Food: 4 Service: 4 Ambience: 4 Date/Time: 2/2/2025 5pm Order: Quesabarilla, Chori-Pollo Crowd: 2/3 occupied Food was good and plenty of it. The quesadillas were 3 soft corn tortillas... messy but worth it! Server pretty much forgot us after delivering our drinks. Had to get another server to retrieve her back. After that she was attentive and apologetic. The restaurant is pretty large with a long dining room filled with booths and long tables/chairs and the bar. To the left of the entrance is another more private dining area as well. Definitely recommend it.

This place has gone downhill quickly. The server we had took over 20 minutes to get our drinks for us after asking for our order twice. The food came out incorrect in 3 of our 4 dishes. The salad was skimpy and the Texas rice was doused with cheese sauce making it super salty. Waitress checked on us 1-2 times the entire meal. We won't be back. Go to the winter park one if you want a good el Porto.

Place is very open and great sitting , their cocktails menu is very intense and menu items is very good . Staff is very friendly and great service . But I have to say what they were thinking on the queso fundido , they give you some cheap American white cheese that sticks to everything and runs like water , cmon a Mexican place with that kind of cheese is a slap to any Mexican , you can do better and get real Mexican cheese . Hopefully other menu items were not this bad .

This has been another one of my favorite on and off restaurants for the past decade. The first location I went to was the one in Kirkman Metro West area when I was a college student . They still serve some of the best affordable Mexican food I've ever had! The decor and space gives the nice hole in the wall, Mexican restaurant style vibe . The service here is always nice with the servers, always being polite and attentive . You can't go wrong with any of the combo meals. they are pretty great size portions. They can easily feed two people! Last time I was here, I got the combo with the one chili Romano, one taco, and one enchilada. Everything was delicious and completely covered in cheese! Who says no to this amount of cheese?! Definitely one of my favorites and I will be back soon !

    Shrimp salad

I ordered a grilled shrimp salad . The shrimp was amazing . The chips were so good thin and warm . And the salsa was amazing . Thinner but still chunky and a good amount of onion . Perfect would come back 10/10 Even better service Super fast .

Authentic, delicious, cheap Mexican food. Came here for a quick lunch and the service was friendly and prompt. They had chips and salsa and a drink to my table in under 3 minutes. The asada tacos were full of flavor and tender. I Asked for some fresh jalapeños and boy were they hot! I'd recommend this place for a great quick lunch!

This location recently opened at Conway and Hoffner and we stopped in to try it out for lunch. We were quickly greeted and seated. Our server was Ivan and he was very friendly and attentive throughout our meal and everyone else working there we encountered were also super nice. We were given chips and salsa as soon as we sat down which is always great. I really enjoyed their salsa; it was a smooth style which I prefer and had a nice little kick to it. We chose to order from the lunch specials menu. I always like to try staple items my first time at a new spot, so I chose the Speedy Gonzalez special with a taco, enchilada, and rice. My boyfriend tried a combo with two tacos and a cheese quesadilla. I wasn't sure if we could swap meats so we just went with the default ground beef, but I'll definitely ask next time just to try their other offerings. The food came out quickly. I tried the taco first which was yummy. The cheese is melty and flavorful and the beef was seasoned nicely. The enchilada was tasty and I enjoyed the sauce. I tasted my boyfriend's cheese quesadilla which was also good and will definitely try one with an addition of a protein in the future. The rice was also tasty and well seasoned. The lunch sized portions were a good amount; I finished all of my food, but was quite full after doing so. Our bill was just over $20 before tip so very reasonably priced. Overall, this is a good spot to grab some Mexican food. I'll definitely return and try some of the multitude of other menu items in the future!

How is this a San Jose salad? First item- Bed of Lettuce. Fail

Check out the "Bed of Lettuce " from the San Jose Salad. What a miss. This is barely edible jerky style chicken strips beat lifelessly thin before removing all traces of juice and flavor.

Disclaimer: this review is for the lunch buffet only…read more I went with my family to try the $18.49 all you can eat lunch buffet. This was my first time experiencing a buffet for hispanic food and for this price point in Orlando, this is an amazing value deal. The server regularly brought us out silverware, napkins, and refilled our water. The place is decorated very fun and plays latin music which was lovely Not only was there an unlimited assortment of lunch foods, but an entire bar of fresh toppings for tacos (or rice bowls) and made to order desserts which were included for free! Not everything on the buffet line was the best but given the amount of options, price, and how good the great items are this is still worth a five star rating. I unfortunately did not take pictures of the food before I began devouring everything in sight to the point of near-collapse, but I will do a quick rundown of the buffet highlights: The best meats were the fajita steak, chicken, and shrimp made fresh in cast iron skillets, as well as the chicken lengua which was super flavorful and tender. The mexican rice, beans, fajitas, plantains, and street corn were also excellent. Fresh quesadillas, chips, and corn tortillas on standby with homemade queso and salsas. The flan and mini churros were the best I've ever had. Super rich, decadent Carmel flan. Mini churros hot and crisp on the outside, filled with a gooey soft milk chocolate center. They were delicious. Items that were disappointing: the tamales, mini chicken flautas, and beef chimichangas were just okay, lacking the seasoning and flavor that other dishes had. The beef barbacoa was not as tender or flavorful as the shredded chicken surprisingly. The mixed seafood was itself a mixed bag with some shrimps / scallops overcooked to much while others were perfectly cooked. The chicken mole and beef tri tip were room temperature despite sitting on hot plates. The tri tip also varied widely in doneness throughout the slices and not super tender. The rice pudding was pretty standard, and the tres leches cake was weird as they crumbled the cake into pieces before soaking it.

When I sat down, I ordered the frozen Margarita flight, which came with a watermelon, mango, and strawberry Margarita. All of them were pretty good, but by far the mango was my favorite. It tasted just like you were drinking mango nectar. For my entrée, I ordered the Carne Asada tacos. They had such a great taste, and the portion size was quite generous. I ordered it with rice and beans, and it all left me feeling quite full. The atmosphere is also quite nice. With it being in the heart of downtown orlando, I thought it might be loud and busy in there, but it was actually quite quiet and relaxing. When we arrived, the restaurant was practically empty, there was no hostess, and we had to wait to be acknowledged. Our server (a Hispanic woman with heavy goth-style makeup--I didn't catch her name) was polite enough, but there were several missed opportunities to improve the experience. The biggest issue was that they were out of multiple menu items we specifically came to try. We had also planned on ordering the duck-themed cocktail that was pictured online, only to be told, "We don't do that anymore." If that's the case, the menu and promotional photos should really be updated. Food: * Chicken Nachos - 3/10: Mostly burnt chips with hard, unmelted cheese. There was barely any chicken, and they lacked flavor. * Watermelon Margarita - 0/10: It was extremely sour. I sent it back and ordered a frozen margarita instead. * Frozen Margarita - Average at best. What was frustrating is that happy hour started about seven minutes later, and our server never mentioned that nearly everything we ordered would have been half-price. A heads-up would have been appreciated. * Street Corn - 6/10: The tableside presentation of cutting it off the cob was nice, but that's really what you're paying for. It could have used much more seasoning, and only two small pieces of corn were served. * Shrimp Tacos - 2/10 * Fish Tacos - 2/10: Both were soggy and lacked flavor. * Spanish Rice - 1/10: Bland and disappointing. Overall, the food was underwhelming, several advertised menu items and drinks weren't available, and the service missed opportunities to enhance the experience. For the prices, I expected much better quality, better communication about happy hour, and a menu that matched what was actually being offered. Unfortunately, I don't see myself returning.
