This place is the bomb! Their food is always fresh, I've never had an order mistake, and the ingredients are quality. I'm always greeted with a smile and courtesy. The food doesn't take very long to get and the pricing is legit. It's one of the more affordable places to eat, especially if you're on the go. Found Roman's when my family and I were traveling all over Humboldt County. Surprised finding such great food out of a food truck. They had the best Guacamole burger I have eaten, wife had the El Guey (Way) Sandwich/Burger, and kids had chicken fingers with fries. Everything was fresh and served promptly. They had a canopy and tables set up next to the taco truck which was very kind of them. We had a great view of the entrance to Cal Poly Humboldt and a sad but well painted mural in the adjoining building. All in all a great experience. read more

The food was great. However, it seemed unreasonable for an order to be over $50 for two of us to get lunch from a food truck. We didn't even order any drinks. There must have been some misunderstanding. I thought that when I ordered my Western Burger, that a side was included. I asked for onion rings which added $7 to the order. When my friend ordered the Mustard Bacon Burger, the side became "loaded fries" which added over $12 to the order. There is no inside seating since this is a food truck. there are some good tables outside to eat at. I did not see any restrooms, but there were likely some at the Community Center next door. Overall, we were very pleased with the food. The unexpected higher price is why this dropped one star. read more

I came here on a Friday afternoon after reading all the great reviews on Yelp. Roman's Kitchen is located in a cul de sac and nearby Humboldt State University. I like spicy foods and thought the Inferno Burger would be good since it had jalapeños and pepper jack cheese in it! The burger came out shortly and it was nice and juicy. The ingredients in the burger tasted fresh and I definitely enjoyed the burger. There are tables next to the food truck where you can enjoy your meal. There is no restroom in the area or a place to wash your hands, so bring some hand sanitizer! Yes, the prices are a bit expensive. Food prices are going up everywhere and we are lucky to still have delicious food being served due to the pandemic! Asked for garlic fries with extra garlic and ketchup, just fries.When my daughter the Philly Melt no onions she meant to say "Philly Melt dip" and forgot to say the dip part. When I got there, I noticed no au jus. I said that I wanted the dip she said I'll have to charge you. Really after $60+ and you want to charge me for a couple once's of au jus. No napkins no anything extra and I tipped over 15% before I noticed all that issues. Went to the plaza for something else and realized it was Halloween early evening as the place was packed with kids young and old in costumes the center is completely blocked off and impossible to access, oh well let's find some food... there it is Roman's food truck and it's relatively quiet and actual parking! This little burger joint is one of the best burgers around. What an opportune time to stop, two bacon cheeseburgers one with no onions and one with no tomatoes or onions, with an order of french fries to go please. Literally in no time at all, piping hot and made fresh to order, we snag our bounty and head to the house. The smell's worth the effort alone, opening the box slowly - there they are, golden brown lightly seasoned strings of crispy crunchy outside, with delicious soft potato inside. The fries are are worth it alone. Moments later, at home and a few fries lighter the burgers emerge from their boxes, they look good the buns lightly grilled on top, the cheddar melted over the bacon on top of the local grass-fed Humboldt beef patty on a bed of lettuce resting on the other half of the grilled golden brown bun. Cooked medium, the only downside lacking salt, this is a good cheeseburger and for the price by comparison a bargain for the area. We stopped off here for dinner after reading so many good reviews on Yelp. After eating the food here, we can totally see why! We really appreciated the fact that any burger can be made vegetarian. We had the fried mushrooms which were really good, the chili fries were amazing, and the loaded fries (without bacon) were super tasty! The big chunks of garlic really made it! We also ordered the sweet potato fries, but the spicy mayo sauce wasn't included unfortunately. So make sure before you take your food and drive off that everything is included. The burgers were super good too! I had the mushroom veggie burger with added grilled onions which I loved. My husband loved his veggie inferno burger and said it had a great spicy kick. The guacamole veggie burgers were a hit with my teenage girls. They loved that there was a good amount of guacamole, which can be rare with other burger places. This little, tucked away food truck is a delicious find, and I highly recommend! We stumbled on it while looking for a quick lunch before heading back to Eureka. The prices are fine, a little on the high side, but I'm a firm believer that you get what you pay for, and Roman's is true to this. I had one of the chicken sandwiches on grilled sourdough, and my husband had the provolone mushroom burger, and we split an order or sweet potato fries. My husband even commented how delicious everything was, and he can be hard to impress! We will definitely be stopping by there when we can to try some other menu items, including the Cubano torta.
