Had a nice breakfast at this Los Jarrones location. We have stopped here to get churros for the kids school, but this time we stopped for breakfast. Strong 3.5 stars. The environment was busy...from the parking lot to the dining area. However, we were seated fairly quickly and ordered our drinks by Andrea. She took out orders and got our food, and those at her other tables pretty quickly. I ordered the huevos divoricados plate which was delicious, both in presentation and taste. It wasn't served with tortillas, but that didn't take away from the food. On Saturday mornings, they have live music. This morning they had a dad and his daughter who sang a few traditional ballads. The kids had the pancake plates which came with pancakes eggs and a protein. Coffee was hot, and Andrea kept the cup full. Thank you. There was a long line at the bakery marking its popularity. Their goods are fresh. I think I shorted the rating because the food, although, good wasn't particularly the best. I enjoyed the experience, and Los Jarrones is a capable restaurant. Amazing food, appetizers, and music! So far we have tried the Mexican combination plate, fajitas, queso fundido, fish and shrimp. The corn and flour tortillas as amazing! Also, the wide selection of drinks are amazing! Mango margaritas were a favorite! The Mexican pastries afterward are too hard to pass up! .. so worth the hour drive we made twice already! We hear breakfast is great so we ate looking forward to another trip. One more thing, on Friday nights 6-9 pm are mariachis so is you don't like loud music, this may not be a good time for you to go. Just went here with my family, i ordered the al moja del ajo, it was alright, the shrimp was good, they put way too much sauce on it, so much so that my rice and salad were swimming in it. I really liked the baked potato, that was my favorite part. The service was decent, it was challenging because our server did not speak English and our family did not speak a lot of Spanish but everything worked out fine, we had an issue where half of our table got food and then the rest didn't get their food for an extra 45 minutes. One of us spoke with the manager about it, and they apologized right away and got our food out. Our server was honest and owned her mistake so we respected that very much so. The flautas, menudo (spicy) and tortilla soup are some of our favorites. The menudo is spicy, so keep that in mind. The ambiance is great and so are the prices. We ordered the green chili posole and huevos a la Mexicana. The service was good and it wasn't too loud except for a group of older gentleman that look like they meet up on a regular basis there. For some reason our booth was vibrating. The coffee seemed a little odd tasting. I didn't ask for almond milk because I've asked before and they don't carry it there. However, the plates were authentic and the pozole was surprisingly good. I think this place does a good job at controlling the amount of salt in their food. I have visited Los Jarrones Mexican Bar and Grill twice this year and would have visited more often if I had lived nearby. Los Jarrones is on the west side of El Paso on Redd Rd, almost across the street from an Urgent Care facility. The entrance to the restaurant comes quickly, so be ready for it. Their parking lot is ample. The restaurant is clean and features beautiful Mexican decor, a panadería, and a little jewelry shop stand. The first time I visited Los Jarrones was a morning during the work week, so it was not too busy. I experienced caring customer service and home cooking like food. Los Jarrones play Mexican music in the background and have several TVs in the restaurant and Bar area. I have had their Chile Colorado plate and Lengua a la Mexicana breakfast plate; both were delicious! I didn't love their corn tortillas, but their flour tortillas were perfect. The restaurant is big enough to host groups, but call them beforehand so the staff is ready for your group. The last time I visited was on a Sunday morning, and it was packed; my family and I waited about 15 minutes to be sat, and the wait time was not bad considering how busy the restaurant was. This is a great place for rustic, traditional Mexican recipes you would find on the ranch. They have a huge menu, that being said you might have to try a few items to find your favorite. For example I was unaware that their hash browns are really papas con chorizo (spicy). Delicious none the less. They don't specialize in any one thing. Location and parking are great! The building is huge and they have a panaderia and tortilleria on site. Chips and salsa were great. Main dishes: I had the sopes with beans and rice and he had the tampiqueña steak. It came with peppers, onions and lots of melted cheese! Also with a red enchilada which he ate before the steak!!! Service was excellent, our server was attentive, quick, and kind. To top it off, there was a couple playing live music... they were so good. They also have a bar... and we saw some piña coladas and mangoladas pass by on the trays that we plan on ordering next time! Great place for breakfast, lunch or dinner. We will be back. read more

I was sat promptly by a friendly cashier/hostess but sat for a good 10min before I was acknowledged by my Server. Server offered a refill but NEVER brought it. Server may have forgotten to put in my order Caldo de Albóndiga and a Burrito took 25 min to arrive. Server never offered dessert or to bring my check. Server did not even stopped by for a "how's everything" table touch. While great things take time this was a little too much. It was 50/50 for us. To be honest we just got a really bad waitress, and not bad because she was very nice & sweat to us just very bad. It was either her first day or her first week. She just looked lost. Took 45 minutes to get our drinks, we actually started to get up to leave & go somewhere else when we saw them coming with our drinks. So we stayed and tough it out. The food was really really good, except they use little to no salt. We have to add that if you're a salt person. But other than that food is good & very very well priced. Environment is excellent. They do need to do a few repairs the table we sat on the cushion on the seat was so badly torn it was simply taped to hold it together. Plates had chips in them. So a few small changes & repairs could go a long way in a place that is already great. The in restaurant panadería looked amazing. We didn't buy anything as we were running late because of our waitress taking over an hour to bring us our food. But it did look good. Bar area did look small but nice, didn't go upstairs patio but that also looked nice as far as we can tell. Only took about 10 minutes to sit us down and everyone was friendly. I know restaurants are having a hell of a time & very short staffed so we do take that into consideration. But we are about customer service. If your restaurant isn't fit to handle such a big rush, you should open fewer tables. I much rather be told there's an hour wait and be served right away than to be sat down right away and be served an hour later. It's just good business. People can make their decision to either wait or leave from the get go. I can see why this place gets so many bad reviews due to their customer service, but it's a good place to eat that is experiencing a shortage of a staff and good servers like most restaurants. Now that I've checked my debit card, they added two dollars to my bakery purchase without telling me. I understand if they had posted a sign stating that there is a $5 minimum purchase for debit or credit, but the only sign I saw states that they add 10% for non cash purchases. So either someone had a $2 typo when they reconciled the purchases or someone is skimming a couple of bucks from customers that pay with cards. Will never be eating at Jarrones again. read more

I'm still in shock. I can't believe I got all this amazing food for $10! Los Jarrones might be the best sit down value Mexican restaurant in El Paso. I went there for their albondigas and got the large bowl. It came with a lot of meatballs and veggies as well as tortillas and rice. I asked for cilantro and onions and butter, since that's how I eat it, not sure how traditional it is. The soup was really flavorful. ‍ I also wanted to try the lengua since I heard that it was good, so I asked my server how big could it be since it was like $4 and I didn't think I could eat that much alongside the soup. He assured me it wasn't that big, maybe medium sized, and recommended I either get it with mole sauce or Mexicana style (tomato, onions, peppers) which wasn't on the menu since the lengua burrito is just meat. OMG, I don't think he knows what a normal burrito is sized like because it was AS LONG AS MY FOREARM. Guys, this was like the best fajitas you could eat with the most tender meat (lengua). AND IT WAS $4! The salsa is really good as well, kinda like a chimichurri, and came with chips for free. Service was slow to start because they were finishing up Happy Hour, but oh so friendly and accommodating. I didn't need to ask for refills, and that's good service since they were keeping an eye on my cup, so I tipped them half the check. Why not, it's like $10 for EVERYTHING. I hope they stay busy, open, and just as inexpensive, a family can definitely dine here with better food and probably less expensive than a Denny's or IHOP, since they serve breakfast as well. There's also an attached bakery and full bar and they have large family to go orders. Check them out if you haven't. I think there's 2 locations; I went to the Westside Redd Rd. location. Well I was not disappointed, The Picadillo (ground beef with pico de Gallo) was Delicious , it comes with chorizo potatoes and beans, highly recommend it . My wife loves good oat meal and also she was not disappointed , few restaurants serve Mexican style with Banana and toast... Now the best part is that , the restaurant has a Mexican Bakery store, people come and buy authentic Mexican sweet bread. Called this restaurant for a pick up/take out, they said they allow pick up. I asked what kind of soups they had and the girl who answered me was clearly annoyed and told me to search the menu. I told her that for some reason their website doesn't come up when I search them. She repeated herself again to look up their menu and hung up on me. So rude. My family and I have been going here for years. They will no longer receive service from us. Terrible customer service. I'm not one to leave a bad review, but this just took the cake. Sometimes the food isn't ready even though I call 45 min ahead of time and what's worse today I've called and called to place an order and they hung up on me twice placed me on hold for 10 min and hang up on me again. We have been supporting this business for years and go at least once a week. They have lost a family of frequent clients as the owner was very rude not wanting to accommodate the whole family as he stated he was going to loose clientele for taking up a few tables, keeping in mind it was a big check. service from our waitress was excellent! however other waitresses were wanting to pick up our plates and cups without asking when we weren't even finished making us feel like they wanted us out of there. we understand that during the weekend it can be very stressful to work but it is not a reason to make your clients feel uncomfortable. They have since moved from their original location and buildout a really nice restaurant- since then my eating lifestyle and taste buds have changed - due to my customized vegan diet I have incorporated fish and shrimp so had their shrimp tostadas and they were very good!
