This was my first time at this location, due to the renovations at the other location, and I think I actually prefer this location. I always liked smaller restaurants. But on with the food, we're canes in on a Taco Tuesday and we're quickly seated. Bergeron was our server, and let me say he had a personality on him lol. He's very lively. We ordered a round of house margs, took a little minute but that was expected. And we were gifted some chips and salsa. We ordered some crawfish queso for an app. My friend and I decided on the same tacos lol we got carnitas and asada with a side of beans and rice. The carnitas were dry, not as good as I've had before from this company. But the asada, delicious! The like and salsa helped a lot. As Bergeron talked to the table next up us and gifted them churros, my friend and I decided to ask for some too. And that he did. Between B and the expo Wesley we tipped them for their hospitality. I actually decided to take some tacos to go because I had so much beans and rice left. Maybe downsize those or offer a smaller size for $2.50

Service was excellent. Place was clean and well-organized. There is outdoor seating available. We found the food to be too expensive for what it was. I think it needs a stronger seasoning. The portion sizes were huge though. Overall, it's an okay place.

    Old and new chips mixed

I went with my friend for taco Tuesday (02/03/2026). We wasn't properly seated, given a menu , cutlery or anything. We were told to pick any table to the right of us. The host was nonchalant and didn't look like she cared at all. The tables were dirty with stuck food and crumbs on them. We were approached by a young man who actually looked like a customer lol. No apron, barely a uniform, and nothing to write orders with. Everything we asked for was completely wrong and the food was cold and soggy. It took him 3 times to actually get it right and still forgot the guacamole. On top of that, he kept giving us old chips ... saying that was apart of the Mardi Gras theme and yet every other table had fresh chips. We had a batch of brown burnt chips(I couldn't get a pic before he brung us this batch with mixed old bits) It was a bad experience but least the margarita was good I guess. To say this is a new location, you would think they would be on top of everything but no! Sadly we will not come back.. we'll try the original location when it's done renovating..

Customer service and food were both horrible. $16 for birria tacos was insane. With no side of chips rice or anything. I see why the were not busy on a "taco Tuesday." A worker was in there trending to another workers baby. I waited 10 mins for someone to reach me my food that was sitting on the shelf. Definitely won't recommend

The price was a little steep for a self service restaurant. The food was okay though.

So the pancakes were amazing! Definitely on the sweet side so you don't need syrup. It also has a sweet/savory whiskey sauce. Soo delicious! I added whipped cream on the side at no extra cost. I highly recommend this if you need a pancake/bread pudding fix! Host and server were both super nice a bubbly. Our server also gave us a suggestion for another great spot for bread pudding. Ambiance is nice and casual, not too busy for a Saturday morning. Parking is kinda tight though, but the host mentioned there was also parking available across the street. Nice breakfast/brunch find!

They would not exchange or comp the other two. The service was terrible. It was a long time in between seating, drinks and food for server. She had an attitude. When I mentioned the noise, she dismissed it and said it was always loud. She said the manager would not allow substitutions for the terrible two of the flight. The servers started moving chairs. They drug the chairs across the floor rather than picking them up. It was very loud and disruptive. The atmosphere was as unimpressive as the service and the food. The floors were not clean. They had food and debris all over. The restaurant was not busy. No one swept the hour we were there. Now the food. The food arrived and we had to ask for utensils. My friend asked for butter for grits, which never came. The potatoes had no flavor aside from fried in old grease taste. The cheese & spinach omelet was passable. Again, no flavor. I do not recommend this location at all. Prepare to wait and be disappointed. Choose another location. Metairie Rd. worth a pass. Parking also very limited.

Our server, Christopher, was very attentive, suggested wine pairings, and gave us great recommendations. We started with the charbroiled oysters which is a must. They were large and charred to perfection on the outside grill, topped with parm and breadcrumbs. My friends ordered the filet and the gulf fish, and I had the charred cabbage entree, with a French gerwurztraminer blend. The mushrooms with the blue cheese sauce were so rich and delicious! Sweet treats were a no brainer. The blue cheese flan was creamy and decadent. A perfect ending to the meal. This is so far my fave restaurant in New Orleans. It's an honest, no BS creole inspired cuisine. 100% coming back soon!

And yet again, I am so thankful for Yelp steering me in the right direction yet again! A short Uber from the French Quarter brought us to what I believe is such a special hidden gem! The moment you step into Atchafalaya, you realize it. Ambience is amazing, quirky, cool, homey and cozy. Staff is amazing. We sat in our own private room and were treated to a very special delight of a dinner. I tried the incredible fried green tomatoes, the seafood soup (?) and the incredible steak...wow, everything was amazing. And not only did Chef Christopher Lynch come out to say hello to my Autistic son but the owner Tony Tocco did as well and it made his day! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

It's a trendy diner/cafe vibe inside and all the staff are really nice. I am gluten sensitive so having gluten free options was a plus for me. I went on a Thursday afternoon and there was no wait. I ordered the Bearcat breakfast with bison sausage. Never had bison sausage but it was absolutely delicious. The potatoes were cooked perfectly crispy and seasoned very well. The eggs were also scrambled perfectly. Everything was so good! I opted for the gluten free pancakes on the side. They were good for GF. I think they put banana in them for the texture which was nice. The syrup made the pancakes for me. What I absolutely loved was the Golden Latte! It was honestly one of the best I've ever had. The espresso was good and the flavors were well balanced and it wasn't super sweet (which I appreciated). I would absolutely come back here!

Point of note is that they are busy, you sign up for seating from a screen out front of the cafe, and gratuity is added on all check with 2 or more persons. These could've been a deterrent for me, but everything changed when the food arrived. We were greeted by our server Edwin, and he presented the menu to us, which at first glance can be intimidating. He gave insight to the specials and took our drink orders. I had a late to drink which was good, and my wife had the chai. We asked for help to narrow our food choice down and his recommendations were spot on. We share one pancake according to the recommendation of our server which was fluffy, soft and delightful with the syrup and butter. I had the open face biscuit with crab. I think it was called the Cat Momma Biscuit. It came with a sunny egg and beurre blanc sauce. It was absolutely delicious. My wife had the special steak quesadilla that came with fresh salsa, avocado, and sour cream. It was also amazing. We also had a side of the breakfast potatoes which were a little salty in my opinion, but still a popular favorite amongst locals. There was so much to choose from in terms of food and drinks. They have their own bottle beverages which we ordered a ginger lemonade, and a Fuji Apple Oolong tea to go. Both were great. I can't say enough about the food and bottle beverages . This place is a must!
