I been coming here for years. Today I was told automatically gratuity of 18% on every order. Even if you get one drink. I guess my BBG days are over because ain't no way a $13 drink just cost me $18. Now I won't get another and won't buy food because they take all your money on just one drink. I am really starting to dislike the new Gentrified New Orleans.

This place has been on my list for a while and I'm glad to have finally been able to come here. I came here with my friend and we sat inside where the bar is. The menus are on QR codes at every table. I ordered the nachos and my friend had the garlic fries and grilled artichoke. She enjoyed her food. The nachos...chef's kiss! They were loaded just right with tons of cheese I also ordered a blueberry lemonade drop my friend had the frozen watermelon margarita We're planning on going back to try the crawfish. We decided to walk around and it's bigger than expected. They have tons of chairs and some oversized games to play as well. It was a real chill vibe and a great place to get good drinks and good food.

Nice spot for good drinks and food. I frequent this place during crawfish season and it's always packed, which says a lot. It's a great place to watch the game, with plenty of seating options, you can sit inside or outside at the bar, and there are several bars to choose from. Parking can be a bit tricky since it's right in the middle of a neighborhood, but it's always a good time at Bayou Beer Garden. .

What can I say? I love this place. $19 crawfish plates make me happy. They're done well. This season there hasn't been a line and the weather has been nice so the outdoor seating has been great. This place is a go to for my coworkers and I to enjoy crawfish and decompress. I've tried several other menu items including the nachos and tacos but still prefer to just order the crab rangoon dip. They've simply gotten my French 75 with cognac plus a shot of Grand Marnier on the side down to perfection. If I return isn't of question. It's more or less a matter of when.

Huge area with many choices for drinks and a good selection of food. Although on the pricier side for food, the burger I ordered was delicious, definitely would've gotten it with fries. They had a crawfish pop up that was selling real fast. Lots of seating and fast service.

Bayou Beer & Wine Garden in Mid-City -- right off the Lafitte Greenway -- is one of my absolute favorite spots! It's the perfect venue to enjoy a delicious craft beer paired with light snacks and appetizers. They have an awesome outdoor section that's ideal for large groups, events, or just hanging out with friends. I love the outdoor games and the relaxed vibe -- especially during the spring and summer months when they run their weekend crawfish specials. The beer selection is excellent with a wide variety of options, and the connected Bayou Wine Garden gives you even more choices. Happy hour here is truly one of the best in the city! My personal favorites: the naked wings and the Caesar salad -- always delicious. There's plenty of seating, great energy, and it's consistently a fun, easygoing spot to grab a drink, enjoy good food, and connect with friends. Service is great at both venues. A must-visit Mid-City hangout!

This is definitely the spot to be. You can sit indoors or outside. Crawfish is sold during certain hours but it's cash only. I tried the frozen watermelon margarita and it got me right. I also had the grilled artichokes and fries. Everyone was friendly. They have a good mixed crowd. The only negative is the lack of parking.

First time trying crawfish in NOLA and it did not disappoint! The crawfish were super meaty and bursting with flavor. Drinks were solid too. Heads up--it's cash only (for crawfish). The spot is spacious with friendly staff and good vibes, though the outdoor benches can fill up pretty quickly. Definitely worth a visit! Attached my video for you

28.99 for two small frozen drinks? Lol. Lmao even. Servers seemed overwhelmed. Patio mostly flooded after a lot of rain. Used to be a fantastic spot to watch games. Now it just seems like a cash grab.

The food is great. The service is okay but kinda slow and the music is terrible. The drinks are okay but overpriced.

Who doesn't love Bayou? Such a laid back vibe for drinks. Love stopping by for game days or crawfish season. Service is always good & that mango freeze is a staple. The food is also good. Love the nachos, boudin balls, & of course the crab Rangoon! Will always love Bayou.

This is our favorite place for crawfish boil!! Andy does a great job and manages to have great flavor without too much spice heat!! There's nothing better than crawfish and a cold pitcher of beer. The combination of Andy's Crawfish and Bayou Beer Garden is a must visit during crawfish season.

Omgggg, the crawfish here is sooooo good. Service is amazing. Never had any issues. Drinks are really good. Ambiance is chill and laid back. Outside/inside venue. Great for the weekends, after work, etc.

Ask the Community - Bayou Beer Garden

    Is this place adult only?

    yes

Does this place take reservations? I have a group of 10 people who would love this place.

No. But finding seating isn't a problem.

Will you all have crawfish this Friday before parades?

I think Andy is taking some time off or he was. He said he'd be back after Mardi Gras so either this upcoming weekend or next weekend. Follow Bayou Beer Garden/Bayou Wine Garden on Facebook or call them at 504-302-9357 to confirm

When is the next time y'all will be serving crawfish?

Crawfish is normally on for Thursday and Friday at 3pm and Saturday and Sunday at 1pm. Currently it is $14 for about 2 pounds plus fixin's in a styrofoam container. This is cash only and crawfish will be on the back lot just behind the restroom…

Is this a safe place for tourists at 1 am?

Generally speaking yes this neighbourhood is safe at 1am but that doesn't mean you should let down your guard. I live nearby the Bayou Beer and Wine Gardens and love my area!!! But anything can happen anywhere. It is a short walk to and from the…

Once the sun went down and the temperature started dropping, they turned it on and it was perfect. It kept us warm and made the whole setup even better. There was crawfish being sold, and of course I had to get some. It was so good and definitely added to the experience. The place was packed because of the game, but the bar inside moved surprisingly fast. There were plenty of bartenders working, so I didn't have to wait long at all. The crowd here is always friendly, which makes a big difference during big events like this. I really enjoyed myself watching the game. The only thing I wish they had was a few blankets available since it does get chilly outside at night. Also, no pets were allowed because of how large the crowd was for the Super Bowl, which makes sense. I've brought my dog before on regular visits and can't wait to bring her back again. Wrong Iron always delivers a good time. I'll definitely be back.

I went to Covington Beer Garden with friends for some holiday day drinking and eating. You know,…read morethe kind of thing civilized people do when they have a day off and no real responsibilities for a few hours. I had been wanting to try this place, and overall I am glad I did. First, the place itself is pretty great. Lots of seating, a cool inside area, a nice outside area, and a setup that makes you want to hang out for a while. This is not one of those places where you walk in, have one drink, and immediately start wondering where else you should go. It feels like a place built for staying. The staff was friendly too, which matters when you are there with a group and everyone is ordering different things, moving around, and generally being a mild inconvenience. Now, about the drinks. The selection was solid. Not bad at all. But with "Beer Garden" in the name, I expected a little more beer. Maybe that is unfair. Maybe I am being too literal. But if you call yourself a beer garden, I am going to expect a beer list that makes me stop and think for a minute. This one did not quite do that. That said, the frozen drinks were fun and would be great in the summer heat. But the food. The food was excellent. I do not know that I expected the food to be the best part, but it may have been. The chicken sandwich special was outstanding, the cheese fries were exactly the kind of bad decision that makes you proud of yourself, and the pulled pork bahn mi was really, really good. I would go back for the food alone, which is not something I expected to say about a beer garden. Overall, Covington Beer Garden is a very good spot. Cool venue, friendly staff, fun drinks, and better food than it probably needs to have. I wish the beer list was a little more expansive, but that is really my only complaint. I will definitely be back.

A few weeks ago I was in town for a hockey game and in need of some refreshments pre-game. This was the perfect spot. It was a little rainy so a large portion of the place was unusable.
