Service was great. I really enjoyed myself. I was only there for Happy hour and it was DEFINITELY A HAPPY HOUR, lol!try the Stuffed eggs. They are uniquely different. Also, try sitting outside to enjoy a great ambiance.

I wanted to have lunch outside of the French quarter and found Atchafalaya, which is a beautiful historic creole cottage in the Irish Channel. We showed up without a reservation, which I do recommend if you want to be seated quickly. The waitress took my number and said we would get a text as soon as a table was ready which ended up being about 45 min. No biggie, we went around the corner and enjoyed a beer. I'm so glad we decided to eat here, they have indoor & outdoor seating and even offer private dining options. Our Pimm's cups were on point and the food was amazing! I got the pan seared gulf fish and it was soooo tasty. You definitely need to start with The deviled eggs, very unique with a pork rind on top! It's such an elegant cozy ambiance with live jazz playing as well. When in NOLA, this restaurant is a must!!

Birthday Brunch was Amazing. So many great dishes. My two favorites were Deviled Eggs & Fried Green Tomatoes. Matt provided 5-star service. We had a private table for 6 in-between downstairs & upstairs seating. It's a New Orleans House converted into a cute & quaint restaurant. FYI if you're staying near Bourbon street this restaurant is about 30-40 minute ride on Green Streetcar then a nice walk towards restaurant. Reservations are definitely recommended.

Definitely a spot I would recommend to anyone visiting New Orleans. Atchafalaya is a small restaurant on the edge of the Garden District with a can't miss brunch menu. The Duck Hash, pictured, and the Huevos Rancheros were the highlights, with fried green tomatoes falling shortly behind. Our server, Georgia, was attentive, and kept our drinks, water, and coffee full. The ambiance was nice for a late brunch, and the drink menu was perfect for the 1:30pm time, offering both brunch drinks like Good Morning Vietnam, and early afternoon drinks like Table for Two. Recommend and would go back!

Came here to celebrate my anniversary and the staff made the experience so special! We went during the live jazz music for brunch. The band was great! They started us off with cornbread with a chive button. I got the crawfish bisque to start. Both were delicious!! I got the crawfish boudin cake and it was absolutely amazing!! (I still think about it). It was served in this tomatoey corn sauce with two poached eggs. 10/10 no notes. Next time I'm in New Orleans, I'll definitely be back.

Atchafalaya is the bomb! Their Wagyu steak was cooked to perfection with just the right flavor to make it a savory meal I'll crave in the future. Their Sazerac was also delicious. Our waiter was fantastic- consistently refilling glasses, providing recommendations, and having an overall great attitude. I love the intimate feel you get dining inside as it feels like you walked into a dimly lit, historic home.

Atchafalaya is a contemporary restaurant with a rustic charm, located at the corner of Louisiana Ave and Laurel St. Would highly highly recommend making a reservation ahead of time! (Otherwise wait times could be up to 1-2 hrs). We were seated indoors, on the upper level, where there was lots of natural light. Our server was attentive and got us started with drink orders and complimentary cornbread biscuits, which were warm & paired perfectly with the scallion butter. We came as a party of 4 and ordered the following dishes to share: Fried green tomatoes ($18, 4/5) --Refreshing combination of flavors, just wish there were more of it! --Topped with butter-poached lump carb, shallots, smoked trout roe, Crystal hot sauce Gumbo du Jour ($8, 3/5) --The gumbo was fine but nothing too special. Would probably skip next time. Duck Hash ($28, 5/5) --My favorite of the dishes! The duck confit was tender, with the sweet potato and kale adding some heartiness. Also had a bit of tartness with the blackberries. Breakfast Risotto ($25, 4/5) --The risotto itself was creamy and paired nicely with the hollandaise and poached egg --The pork was a bit tough but had good flavor Tres leches bread pudding ($9, 3/5) --Pretty standard bread pudding (no additional fillings inside). Would probably also skip this for other offerings on their dessert menu. Overall, really enjoyed dining at Atchafalaya! Lovely presentation and their dishes have good depth of flavor. However, it did take us 40-45 minutes to get our dessert so just may need to budget your time accordingly when you visit. Looking forward to visiting again!

Service was great and the food was so good! If you're on Canal Street and want a great meal, I'd recommend coming to Atchafalaya. The main dish we got (sad to say I can't remember the name) was honestly enough for me and my friend to share! Portions are generous and very high quality. This is likely one of the best meals I had in NOLA.

A colorful, beautiful corner restaurant in uptown New Orleans, I'm glad I was able to get a table for brunch. We parked around the corner on the street and sat upstairs. Atchafalaya means long river on the National e Choctaw language. Abbie waited on us. I ordered the Monday, red beans & rice special and my husband ordered the oyster salad. We enjoyed mini cornbread muffins with sweet chive butter while we waited for a meal. Our portions were very generous, I could only eat half of my milk

Everything we had was amazing! Service was 10/10 Parking was a little tricky, but definitely worth the stop. The gumbo was the best ever! (No pic) The fried green tomatoes appetizer was also top tier!

Booked a reservation for here on a Saturday evening. Nice and chill restaurant in the inside. Love the high ceilings. We ordered the following: Cocktails: Smoke and Cinder & Autumn Sunset. My cocktail (smoke and cinder) was mixed quite well. I enjoyed it over the course of the meal. For the appetizer, we got the Brussels sprouts. Loved how they served it on a skillet. The mint gave it a unique touch of sorts. Also appreciated the assortment of breads & corn muffins. For the main course, I got the cabbage steak. I saw this on the menu and was curious to see how it was. I was pleasantly surprised. All in all, we spent around an hour in here eating. That's NYC speed. I'm impressed.

Is the king cake waffle no longer served past Fat Tuesday?

On to the next seasonal topping

Are there heaters on the porch for dining in the winter evenings?

    Yes!

Are there any gluten free options?

    I am unsure, sorry!

Is there a dress code for brunch?

I would say it is casual no coat required.

    Are there gluten-free options?

Their menu is really expansive so I'm pretty sure that there are gluten free options

Is there free parking? Can we make reservations online or should we call?

Street parking only. Usually a spot or two available. Reservations are almost a must be easily made on open table.

Is there a bottomless mimosas option for brunch? Thanks!

No the is a Bloody Mary bar but you order your vodka at table from an unbeatable list then mix your own.

Do they accept reservations for Sunday brunch?

    Yea

    What is the Dress code?

Casual. We discourage sleeveless shirts for gentlemen however. Thank you

    Are reservations for Brunch accepted?

Yes. If you want to do a jazz brunch on Sunday, I suggest not to go too early. We got 10 am reservations, but the band didn't start until near noon. We gave up our table and listened for a bit in the bar.

Their "Stars and Garters" cocktail is fantastic. I've written them on several occasions to try to get the recipe, but I've not received a response. The ingredients are listed on the menu...but does anybody know the amounts to use for this cocktail?

My last review was in 2020, and I'm happy to report that the quality and atmosphere remain top notch. Whether you are looking for a morning pick up or an evening wind-down, this spot covers all the bases. Their beignets and coffee are a classic must have, and I can personally vouch for their Americano. It is consistently well made and delicious. They also have a great selection of beer and cocktails if you're looking for something a bit stronger. What really sets this place apart, though, is the hospitality. We have always had great interactions with the staff, but a special shout out goes to Jimmy, whom we met this past week. He was incredibly kind and hospitable, truly making us feel right at home. Jimmy if you are reading this, THANK YOU!! If you want a spot that feels authentic, welcoming, and consistently excellent, put The Vintage at the top of your list!

There were about 8 or 9 of us, and at first we thought we'd just be grabbing drinks at the bar. But of course, once the drinks started hitting, people got hungry lol. I spoke with a manager inside to see if they could seat us, and shoutout to Hannah, she was AMAZING! So sweet, super helpful, explained everything clearly, and even complimented a few of my friends on their festive outfits . We ended up getting seated and tried a few drinks from the Bar Humbug menu. I had the Santa Baby Margarita and the Silver and Gold Sidecar, both were delicious and definitely gave me a lil buzz buzz. I also tried the Bower Potatoes, which were solid. I'd give them a 7/10...tasty, but there was one seasoning on them that kind of lingered a little too much for me. The staff overall was great. Even though we were told at the bar that food orders wouldn't be brought out, someone did bring the food to our table, so major thank you for that little surprise. This was my first time including The Bower on our bar crawl list, and I'd definitely come back again next year. Beautiful space, great drinks, and A+ customer service. Strong, smooth, and exactly the pick-me-up I needed after a long day. For food, we ordered: Whipped Feta Cacio e Pepe Spicy Scallop Arancini Beef Carpaccio When everything came out, the presentation was stunning. The whipped feta with pickled red onions and bruschetta toast was a great starter -- the onions added a nice crunch against the buttery toast. I do wish the feta was a bit more whipped, but flavor-wise it didn't disappoint. Cacio e pepe was creamy and comforting -- the ideal carb dish to soak up that martini. But the star of the night? The Beef Carpaccio. Ultra-thin slices topped with fresh arugula and lump crab meat -- light, refreshing, and such a nice contrast to the heavier dishes. My only complaint is that I wish they gave more beef! We sat at the bar, and the vibes were great. Our bartender was super attentive and made excellent drinks. Final Verdict: Definitely a must-try for happy hour. I'll be back!

We had reservations on a Saturday night and were seated almost immediately. As we passed the bar I noticed they had a huge bourbon selection which is always cool. I ordered a "Well She Starts Monday" which is a cocktail made with Buffalo Trace, Cynar liqueur, and Fig Syrup. I was not a fan of this one, so I ordered an Old Fashioned for my second drink, and it was a little better. I got a Burrata for an appetizer which seemed like a caprese salad served with crispy bread triangles. This was really good. For an entree, I got Beef Wellington which until then I had never had. Mansplained, this is a steak cooked medium rare inside of a puff pastry with 2 different sauces on it. Phenomenally good! The atmosphere is really dark with low lighting, dark cherry wood everywhere. The music was bad and loud. If it was one or the other it would have been fine, but this was like if someone gave Yoko Ono glowsticks and said start and EDM band. The Husky is meant for a younger crowd. The food was 5 stars; the atmosphere and experience were probably more like 3 stars.
