    Enchiladas de camaron

The chips are made fresh in house so they come out hot with a salsa and cabbage sauce. So are the corn tortillas which went well with the queso fundido. I also enjoyed the enchiladas de camaron, and my wife liked the pollo jalisco. The staff were friendly and service was pretty quick for a Friday night.

So I ate at this restaurant! And this is my review! I washed up in the bathroom and it was clean! There were plenty of hand sanitizer, soap and towels to dry off! I ordered fajitas and I got them in 10 minutes! The chips and salsa was good! The waitress was friendly and attentive! Do I recommend this place yes I do!

I have this affinity for small family Mexican Restaurants. Los Jimadores fits that bill. Firstly, the waitress we had was very friendly and delightful. When I asked her for opinion for the Birria tacos vs. the Sonoran Tacos, she said I picked to the two favorite things not the menu and she couldn't decide. But I am getting ahead of myself. Firstly, the chips and salsa. They really set the mood for the meal, although not having them is something I can live with if the meal is extraordinary. Los Jimadores has chips and salsa - and they add a kicker. Mexican slaw. A vinegar based slaw with a spicy kick. This was one of the better ones I had. The salsa was good and chunky, but we agreed it was a little sweet. The chips are the flaky crispy kind. We also ordered the house margarita. I was prepared to be disappointed because their drink menu was filled with those sugary 'tropical' drinks that were more popular 15 years ago. Their tequila menu is a bit lacking. But the house margarita was good, not too sweet and had that familiar feeling. I decided on the Sonoran Tacos. They had strip steak, a roasted Anaheim Pepper and a grilled Mexican cheese. They also came with a very good, very spicy salsa. The roasted peppers and the salsa made this dish. My wife had the carnitas, because she has been on a carnitas kick as of late. They were moist and crispy on the outside with a good green chili on top. If I had to find fault, it would the salsa with the chips and the tequila selection. The salsa with the Sonoran Tacos was fabulous - but I get that there is probably a cost difference. And the menu is a bit long. But if I am in the area, I will be back. And I will order the Birria Tacos. They looked really good being brought to a table next to ours.

Friends took us to Los Jimadores this past Sunday and wasn't disappointed. Some people might call this place a hole in the wall, but if it is the food is still very good. If you're looking for something fancy this isn't it. A good meal is what you get here. The shrimp tacos were really good on homemade flour tortillas. My dining companions all took their meals home since it was so much food on the plate. The meals were packed with flavor. The margaritas were really good and if you have two make sure you have a driver that's not drinking. My final comment is regarding the service. Pamela (Pam) was our waitress. She alone is a reason to come to Los Jimadores. She's a super waitress and full of sass in a good way!

The second I walked in the door I knew this was the place to be! The restaurant was very busy for being so early in the evening. We were quickly greeted by a very friendly hostess, and we were seated promptly. Our waitress was very attentive, and she always had a smile on her face. Now, for the food part... The menu reads like a novel; it has absolutely everything imaginable. Fresh tortilla chips, salsa, and a Mexican slaw were placed on the table. We ordered house margaritas which were on point, and they were huge! The main courses were beyond plentiful and exploded with flavor. There were three of us dining, and we ordered: chicken quesadilla, chile relleno, platter, and carnitas platter. UNREAL! Can't wait to return!!!

Delicious food with generous portions. Service was amazing. Be sure to try the Sopapillas! Fluffy light perfection. It was a wonderful birthday party!

    Enchilada and soft taco

First time at this place and it was pretty empty for a Friday night I understand being understaffed and being busy but they weren't so I was confused a little on why our service was slow the waitress seemed kinda annoyed taking our order. The food on the other hand was delicious props to the cook! The water was nasty. But the pepino margarita I got was good my friend got a mojito and it was good as well!

Hair in the homemade tortillas for the Sonora tacos, food for the table came out at different times, some food never came at all.

We stopped in for lunch and it wasn't very busy so we were seated quickly and given menus and drinks quickly as well. I ordered the Almejas Gratinadas which are mussels topped with shrimp, corn salsa and cheese. Everything was fresh and delicious and the portion was just the right size. I asked them to put the spicy Chipotle sauce on the side and just dipped my food into in and I'm glad I made that decision because while it was yummy it had a slow burn to it. The pina aqua fresca was good but tasted a bit watery. My coworker got the shrimp ceviche tostada and another item and she said they were both great. She was glad she chose two items since they were both smaller portions. I would definitely recommend this place to others and hope to stop by again when I'm back in the area.

Don't get me wrong, it wasn't dirty or unkempt in any way, but it had that old, hole-in-the-wall kind of feel that can either be a good thing or a bad thing. Well, it was a good thing. I'm so glad I gave this place the benefit of the doubt! The server (Jamiee, I think) was very friendly and attentive. I love Mexican food, and I'm kinda picky when it comes to the little things like sauces, chips, guacamole, salsa, etc. For me, that's usually a pretty good barometer for how the rest of the food is going to be. I ordered chips, salsa, and a side of guacamole to start. The chips were homemade, and soooo freaking good -- thick and crunchy, but still had a light texture. The guacamole was absolutely top shelf -- creamy but not runny, and just the perfect amount of spices, tomatoes and onions. The salsa had a decent kick, but nothing crazy. It was really good, if not a smidge on the runny side. The star of the show here was the smothered burrito. I ordered mine with carne asada. The sucker was huge, and loaded to the rim of the plate with a green chile sauce that was just, well, ridiculous. The melty cheese on top, with tomatoes, lettuce, and a respectable dollop of sour cream on the side, was a full-on party for my tastebuds. Why the 4 stars then, and not 5, you might ask? Well, the carne asada was a bit too charred for my liking. Just a few too many crispy/crunchy pieces for it to be perfect. The chunks that weren't crispy were super tender though. I just wanted more of that. Got a mango shake to go, made with hand-scooped ice cream (not soft serve). It tasted good but blended way too long, to the point of being runny. If I lived anywhere near here, I would 100% go back, not even a question.

The booth's were made from large concrete culverts and with 8 of them it looked great. I was very impressed with the building and atmosphere and this is why I gave it 3 stars. It may have gotten 4 if I would have been able to have a drink, I was working so I needed to be good. Now let's get to the food! I had the lemon chicken which they gave a cutesy name that I don't remember off hand. The chicken tasted great, but I am pretty sure that a sparrow would have dwarfed the bird they took the breast off of. I was also disappointed with the lentil beans that seemed a bit under cooked and wouldn't have been enough to fill up the bird I ate. They need to get their portions more in line with what the consumer wants and what they are charging. I am not saying that they should feed you like you are at a truck stop, but I want to eat healthy and still feel like I ate something. The food that I purchased for over $18 wouldn't have filled up a 6 year old. I mentioned this to the waiter and he did try to make it right with a few different suggestions, which I appreciated. They just opened, so I will give them a few weeks to improve on what they have and then I will go back and try it again. I will make sure that this time I am able to have a few drinks and enjoy the sunset at their outdoor seating.

It's called the best steak tartare for a reason. Everything about it was perfect. The plating was exceptional. It was absolutely delicious. The side of arugula salad was outstanding. The bone marrow perfectly cooked and a wonderful addition. The cheese may be a whipped ricotta? It Was absolutely perfect. However, the oysters were on the verge or had already gone bad. I ate one much to my shock. I tried half of another in case it was just a one off. It was not. typically in a really nice restaurant, You can be safe with seafood. This is not the case.
