Came back with new friends to check them out and the food/consistency is still there. This time we only ordered a few dim sum dishes but got more shared plates like the garlic bok choy, the salt and pepper shrimp, and the dry beef chow fun. Everything is super tasty and don't sleep on their pork ribs with black bean sauce, probably the best I've had in Denver. Their shumai is amazing too, I'm usually not a shumai girl but you can taste the shrimp, the pork and the flavor is amazing. I also didn't feel like taking a nap after so I think their seasoning is tastefully done. Get their Portuguese Egg Tart - pastéis de nata, worth getting a couple plates and be warned, they come out fresh and hot! Everything seems to be made to order, definitely a refreshing Dim Sum experience. Clean restaurant and restroom too. Give them a try!

Last time I had Dim Sum this good was in Boston 20 years ago. Clean, peaceful, attentive service.

Things have improved a lot since the last time we ordered from here. Now I have gone in person a couple of times now post grand opening and the food is quite good. When you're up north and craving some dim sum, this is a fantastic family run restaurant. It's kind of tucked away in the back of the plaza. They have a smaller selection than your typical dim sum place on Federal but they have enough of our favorites. The one thing that really does stand out are the pastries. The pastries in my opinion are a lot better than Star Kitchen. The bbq pork bao is so good along with the pineapple bun. We order those every time we're here. I also like the glutinous pork fried pastry as well. The congee is also quite delicious if you want something a little cleaner or if you're sick. The fried rice also has a nice wok hei flavoring. While they may not have everything, it does the job without requiring me to wait over an hour for. Also the family is really sweet and nice.

After a few days in Denver i needed something different besides pizza and burgers. We decided to give this place a chance. To start I found that the service was lacking, but you could tell is a small mom and pops. We order a few different dim sum and a seafood fried rice. The fried rice was ok to me but it had an odd burnt taste. The soup dumplings were honestly the worst I've ever had. Unfortunately I didn't enjoy anything of what we ordered, except the shrimp shumai which were ok.

I don't know why you are sleeping on the place. Baked BBQ pork buns and pork mochi dumplings were true standouts. Also ordered the crystal shrimp dumplings and shao mai--both excellent. Ordered a pot of red tea which the server recommended...very delicious.

It's a solid 3 stars all around. The place a small, no one there, no music, no tv on, kitchen is quiet. It was rough sitting there in hearing the server slurp his noodles in between helping us. The dim sum was ok, a bit different than other places though. Then pork buns were bigger though, and filled more. Not sure I'd take the drive back.

If you're up this way and have a dim sum craving, this spot will fill your need. Super friendly fast service and tasty bites- nothing fancy but good flavors and homey ambiance.

Really appreciate that Chinese Palace Dim Sum has dim sum options available all day. It's really hard to find dim sum after 2pm on weekends and sometimes during the week in general. It was really nice to be able to order some dim sum and some noodle dishes. The char siu bao were on point and we really loved the Singapore noodles. The Singapore noodles had a lot of shrimp, pork, and chicken which was a huge bonus. We also liked that it had just the right amount of spices. The staff here were really friendly and attentive. It made us want to come back in the future. We also liked that the food came out promptly and everything was hot. Solid spot that we will visit again soon.

Everything was delicious! A plus was the amazing service the owners provided us! Will definitely be back!!

This is a little hole in the wall spot with made to order dim sum all day and it freaking slaps! If you're in the mood for dim sum and you're up north check this spot out. Prices are great and the menu features pictures for those not as familiar. They do not accept reservations, so beware that it can get crowded on weekends. Regular Chinese food menu is available too!

Attention foodies: This is a must try!! The quality of the food for the cost is amazing. The dim sum is better here than most places & less expensive. The place itself is kinda a hole in wall. There's plenty of seating though. They do a lot of takeout. I wish this place was on my radar sooner, it's really good- I'll definitely be back. The portions are large. Service was good. Great find 100% Recommended!

Don't come here expecting anything but good service and good food. The restaurant was clean but nothing out of the ordinary. You could tell it's a family run business since the staff looked like a family...they were very nice. We ordered the soup dumplings and sesame balls from the dim sum. By the way, this place isn't true dim sum that you would expect, rather small plates that you can order from a menu. We also ordered beef lo mein in general tsao chicken. Everything was very tasty, but also very heavy. I'm a big eater, but it was such a heavy meal that I didn't eat too much of it. I'm glad I got the green tea because it cleansed some of the heaviness . You get a big portion for the price.

Interesting place to eat dumplings and other Chinese dishes. They were able to do several of the dishes gluten free so that was appreciated. The dumplings were ok, tasted like they were the frozen kind. Main dishes were fresh and reminded us of our years living in China so much appreciated. The ambience and service were good as well.

They have the dim sum, set price family dinners, special chef menu and then the main menu with; Chicken, beef, lamb, vegetables, lobster, FROG!, tofu, pan fried noodles, soup, just to name a few. This is a seafood restaurant and saw them fishing the lobsters out of the tank. We started off with a family favorite of small size of seafood fish maw soup which could have easily fed 6-8 people. We were a party of 4 . We had extra to take home too. Then we moved onto the highlight which was the crispy Peking duck. We were 4 people and this 1/2 duck was the perfect size. The skin was juicy and crisp and not dry and leathery. This was a delight to have and the star of our dinner. We then moved on the a chef special menu item which was smoked spare ribs. This was a disappointment. We got overly sweetened little tiny riblets with no smokiness. They were super thin and not what we expected. Will kit order this again. The black mushroom with vegetables was ok. I expected the black mushrooms to be more tender and felt they could have been simmered more to make them softer. They were a bit chewy The yang chow fried rice was a bit on the dry side. We ordered the beef noodles with gravy and this dish was perfect with the crispy noodles under a bed of beef and vegetables. This was delicious. We also ordered and nibbled on a couple of dim sum dishes for dinner. The deep fried meat dumplings were not greasy and had a crunchy exterior. We also ordered the lotus wrapped rice which was comfort food satisfying. We had a lively bilingual Chinese speaking waitress who was super friendly and had water, tea, ice water glasses filled at all times. She was helpful when selecting the food items.

Though service was okay, the overall experience was disappointing.

We opted for a 3 item bbq plate - roast duck, roast pork and bbq pork (char siu). The bbq pork was fine, nothing special but the highlight was the roast duck and pork. The skin on the duck is still crispy, and had a good ratio of fat to meat and bones. Some places make it with a strong star anise flavor, but HKB does not. The flavor on the duck is sooo good and not too salty. The roast pork was juicy and the skin super crunchy! They gave a solid portion too. I'd spend my $20 on this any day! The 2 item and 3 item bbq options are on a separate lunch menu, but I'm not sure if it's offered daily or just weekdays. The rice plates come with some steamed chinese broccoli and a big scoop of rice. They also provide the bbq with a little dipping sauce. It pairs well with the greens, but is a tad bit salty so use sparingly. We also ordered beef chow fun, dry style. The beef slices are tender, the chow fun has that good wok hei flavor, nice and smoky. I do wish the noodles were a tad bit wider but overall, very solid dish. Sesame balls look/taste like the pre made frozen kind. It had a good chew, solid red bean filling and you get a ton for $5. The service here is nice and friendly. They give you giant cups of water and will check on you to refill it as well. It's in a plaza, lots of shared parking spaces and they do take CC for payment. I am devastated that my now favorite HK BBQ is not in California, but if anyone asks me where to eat in Denver, this spot is going to be my #1 recommendation.

Best to be eaten right away otherwise it gets soggy. The peiking duck was a little fatty but can't complain given the crispy skin and just being able to experience this in Denver, where it's rare to get real Chinese food. The Bao is super fluffy as well.

Shrimp Shumai: this was the first item I took out of the bag and disappointment was the first feeling I felt. I should've trusted my gut when I saw the name of the dish but the photo didn't match. I based it off the photo and what was delivered was not what was in the photo. Instead, I got these small, nickel sized diameter "dumplings" that are straight up mushy. Xiao long bao: maybe it was delivery issue, but all dumplings were broken, and the soup leaked. Aside from this, the wrapping is thick especially at the top where the twist is. The filling is also mushy but better than the shrimp Shumai. I still wouldn't get this again. Chili wontons: again, maybe a delivery issue but there wasn't a lot of chili oil since it leaked out of the bag. Aside from that, the wrapper was thick. Filling was meh. Mapo tofu: just okay but again, very hard to mess up mapo tofu in general imo. Lacks meat. Probably the best thing out of what I ordered unfortunately
