This restaurant was surprisingly great! Their photos advertising seafood led us to go in and check out their menu. There were very few people there in the middle of a weekday. We decided to take a chance on them and stayed. They bring out fish ceviche along with tostadas and crackers. I was impressed, who just gives ceviche along with salsa? The ceviche was on point. We started with the empanadas de camarones-shrimp empanadas which were good but just a bit spicy. For the entree, we ordered the Huachinango al Gusto estilo Nayarit (Whole snapper fish with Nayarit sauce in the bowl). That fish was huge! They had it in three pieces from the whole fish. It started out a bit fishy, but when we added the sauce that had a few shrimp, it was delicious! The two of us definitely had leftovers. We went here for my husbands birthday. We got there about 7:00 on a Friday night. They had a lot of seats open still at this time. We had a party of 5. They say us at first in a booth for 4 with a little table extended at the end of the booth that would seat 2 people. It wasn't comfortable especially for the 5th person at this little table. The booths should be kept for parties of 4. I asked if we could move to a table since there was a lot of seating still open. They were very accommodating & moved us right away. The bars look nice & since it was a Friday there was entertainment there walking around & politely asked if you wanted them to play which was nice Incase you were trying to talk with your party it wasn't interrupting if you didn't care to have them play at your table. We ordered drinks. Some of them are huge. The drink my husband ordered came with oysters, shrimps ect. He really liked it. It was about $30.00 but he only ordered 1 and it was filling & huge. The waiter suggested my drink. It was very fruity. It was ok but I switched to a large Premium Margarita. It was $15.00. A little pricey I thought because for a large drink it wasn't as large as I expected for the price. My son ordered a citrus looking drink that was huge with 2 beers in it. That was $30.00 but also he only ordered 1 and he liked it a lot. There's tostadas on the table which are ok with salsa & a fish ceviche. I'd prefer better chips & tastier salsa. We ordered appetizers. Large ceviche & large empanadas. Both were good. We should have ordered small on the empanadas which is 4 because they are large in size. The ceviche was better then the empanadas but both were very good. For dinner my husband had Diablo shrimp medium heat. It was very good. The sauce is very tasty on the shrimp. My son ordered Langastinos which he also really liked & the portions are very large which justifies the higher price point. Two of us ordered the breaded shrimp. The breading was kind of thick & heavy. It was pretty good but I think I'll try something different next time. My son had carne asada which the portion of meat was average. It didn't looked charcoaled at all which it usually is a bit. The white rice they serve with the seafood is ok. Later new entertainment started. They were very good but it was really loud right next to our table. It made it hard to talk with each other. We ordered Flan for dessert which was very good. Overall it was a good experience. We will go back again. The drinks are great. Price wise a little pricy but fun for a special event. read more

the good: we had a party of 17 and they sat us in 25 minutes. That is pretty good considering they don't take reservations. The micheladas were good. The bad: I think because the tip is already included with a large party, the waiter ignored us the whole time. He brought us our food and drinks and then only came back to bring us the check. He only gave us 2 packs of tortillas for 17 people, he never refilled our drinks. The seafood parillada was cold when it came to our table and it looked like sea food left overs. The horchata and the piña colada were very good, their green sauce with tostadas that they have at the table are good but the huachinango al mojo de ajo and huachinango a la plancha was awful just so bland no flavor not even salt ( what the hell ) and the white rice they include in the plate awful has no flavor it's just rice made in water they should try putting in some butter and salt !! My huachinango with garlic on top cause that's what it was had no flavor what a waste of such a meaty fish and then they be so stingy with the limes, like dam they are 15 for a $1 right now !!! The atmosphere was perfect, place was packed, and they had live music playing. Although, the restaurant was packed we didn't wait long to be seated and I had a party of 6. The prices were great and to add the food potion were huge..... literally enough to take some home. I had the pineapple stuffed with oysters, crab meat, shrimp and salmon topped with cheese! When I say FINGER LICKING GOOD. I did order a margarita that was also good. The waiter was very nice and took his time answering all of our questions. The menu give you the options of potions sizes that will serve 2 or more! I will say if you have a large party be sure to tell them to separate your bill in the beginning if you plan on spitting the bill at the end. Also, pay attentional your drink size you are ordering. Specify the size you want because they charge $10 extra for only a 2oz difference...... I asked because i was confused with the price difference and size. Lastly, I will definitely go back again!! We went to Los Magueyes on Thursday 3/30/2017 and saw that it was busy. I thought this was a good sign. Was I wrong! My fiance ordered the carne asada and I ordered the 7 mares soup. When my soup got to the table, I noticed that the soup was lukewarm, had little seasoning, and the seafood in it was not as fresh as I expected. But that was not all. My fiance had to wait an additional 15-20 minutes for her carne asada. The meat was overcooked and had a lot of char to it. Additionally, the beans and rice were bland and cold. Not even microwaved! The waitress was slow to assist and did not offer any accommodation for her mistake of not placing the order in on time. I was disappointed with our experience. Definitely not returning. read more

Lots of options for seafood. I loved our Malcateada bowl. It had cactus, skirt steak, marinaded chicken, large green onions, queso fresco, chorizo sausage and deep fried fried on the bottom. This place is only a few blocks away from my home and i decided to go there with my best friend this afternoon. The atmosphere and dining was quite nice and relaxing. The food was outstanding. The tray of devil shrimps were nice and spicy along with a tray of mixed fajitas of beef and chicken with red peppers & onions. The waitress brought us plenty of corn tortillas to sandwich our food. I've been here a few times and got snow crabs legs which is around $40. So I went a couple of days ago 30mins before closing to order snow crabs legs. Around 9:45pm the waitress came out with Dungeness crab legs. So that immediately pissed me off.
