They never disappoint. The service is quick. And the food is yummy. I had burritos and rice and lunch special #3 two separate times and of course you get those hot yummy chips while you're waiting for your food. They have a bar so you can get drinks and weather permitting there is an outside patio to sit at as well. And it's always priced super reasonable. I'm guarantee I will be back for some yummy food. Not impressed. I'm from South Texas and I absolutely love love Mexican food. This is not the kinda Mexican food I grew up on. Mabey Wisconsin's idea of Mexican is different then south Texas but this place was barley okay. The cheese dip was like velveta with milk and the pork was over cooked so it was extremely tough. The beans where horrible and the rice was so so. Will not be going back here. read more

This restaurant was one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever experienced. My girlfriend called to order us takeout and the guy who answered was so rude. When he answered he didn't even say anything so she didn't even know if they answered. Then, when she said hello to see if anyone was there, he laughed and said "Yeah?". Then, once she was telling him our order, he kept rushing her like all he wanted to do is be done with her. While she was telling him what I wanted, he kept saying we don't have that or screamed which burrito at her but I've been their multiple times before and they have never had an issue of making what I want before. After that, we thought well maybe he's just having a bad day. But, then, I go in to get the order, everything is fine, I pay. Then, I get out to the car and my girlfriend was like check the food to make sure everything looks right and is correct. I looked in there and they gave her all the stuff she didn't ask for as well as not even putting my food in there all. We then realized that they only charged us for her food and not mine so basically the guy just didn't want to deal with the food I wanted because he couldn't understand it. Which in my opinion is so rude when all he had to do was ask someone for help on what we wanted in our order. After that, I just decided that I'd get food from somewhere. Then, once we got home, my girlfriend ate some of her food and she said it was gross. The cheese was watery and the chicken had no flavor at all. So, we went through all that trouble to not get half our order and for the other half to be disgusting. After this, they will not be taking any more of our money again. The food honestly isn't even worth the amount you pay here and the El Mezcales in Wausau is way better for less money. For now on, we will take our business to Wausau where the owner is always smiling and nice and doesn't make people feel less than them. read more

I give the food a 3 (nothing special Tex Mex, although my portion was HUGE) but the acoustics made it very noisy. And my server was pretty awful. Hardly saw him at all. Other servers stopped by and asked how things were going (and no, that does not seem to be there policy). He never picked up the plates or let me know to pay on the way out. I did see him sitting in a booth in the back talking with some people though. read more

If you want quality authentic Mexican food, this is the ONLY place to go to in Northern WI. Worth the drive from Rhinelander. My girlfriend and I split the taco plate and had their ranchero guacamole with house margaritas to start. All exceeded our expectations for Mexican food in the northwoods. Casa just doesn't cut it. Don't leave an item behind accidentally and then return for it! The manager Arturo and the owner won't do anything to help you. Actually what I was told was they were too busy to check the video to find out who stole it. And this was after I was told they would look at the video and get back to me. Pretty sure it was the staff though, whom ever cleaned the booth I was in. It would have been so simple to find this out, but they couldn't be bothered. Have always been very pleased with this restaurant .... until Saturday. We ordered carry-out for 4 people and when I arrived to pick up our food our bill was $57. I thought that seemed a little higher than normal and I questioned it and the hostess notified me that their prices had increased. Okay, I'm okay with that. Everyone has to make a living, but when I compared the old and new menu, I was astonished! What I had ordered originally was $9.50 and now was $13.99. Another meal was $8.50 and now was $12.99. They were busy that night, but suspect that won't be for long. We won't be going back. read more

Went here because of Yelp reviews. My mistake. Planned on going here while passing thru on business. My hotel was right next door. Sweet!! Walked in about 8:00 PM. No one at hostess counter. Decided to just eat at the bar. There were 3 employees at the bar eating/drinking + the bartender. Ordered a scotch and a menu. (Never saw that guy again.) Chips and salsa came which were quite good (once I walked over to a table to get a salt shaker since no one was around to supply it). That was my last contact with any employee for at least 30 minutes. I was just putting my napkin on top of my empty glass, when some new guy comes up and asks if I want another drink. I explained that I really wanted food when I came in 30 minutes prior and now he wants to sell me food!!!! Too late. Gives me a drink bill for $12.++. Gave them cash for $13.00. I will never be back here!!! P.S. - If they want to apologize to me........I might come back and we can start over fresh. read more
