    Pupusa

Talk about flavor and bang for buck. Was such a good vibe inside too with the World Cup matches playing on the TVs. The staff was kind and brought me a chair while I waited in the pick-up line. It took longer than expected, but it speaks to what's going on back there in the kitchen. My revuelta pupusa was perfect. The sleeper item was the chicken tamale -- tamales don't usually do it for me but this has changed my mind.

Two original pupusas revueltas, tomato salsa, curtido.

Delicious pupusas. The pupusas had the right masa to filling ratio. The outside was nice, crispy, and well cooked. Servers were really nice, and left alone to enjoy your food. Ambiance was lively with great music and overhead fans going.

First time here and unfortunately our waitress was rude, when she first approached us said READY, so I said good morning how are you? Looked at me and said good, ready to order. Had to request a refill, napkins and completely ignored us. Gladly there was a young waiter that was really helpful. Honestly not going back again. Although the pupusa and the food over all were delicious.

    Delicious !!!

Every time we dine here service is really good and ambiance, food even better. Let me tell you, today we had Pescado envuelto en huevo plate y Torreja, I'm not going to discuss price because it does not compare to quality and portion size, meaning it is more than enough, the taste brought us back to childhood taste memories, excellent. Thank you.

Their Salvadoran breakfast burrito is making rounds on social media so I came in to try it. I also ordered a Agua de jamaica (hibiscus iced tea) to drink. The breakfast burrito is tasty, stuffed with fried yucca, scrambled eggs, and bacon. It could have more Salvadoran chorizo (you can also pick other types of meat) and curtido, but the flavors were there. It's also the size of a brick which is great for ~$9. Overall ok, and I appreciate the ingenuity...I would come back to try their pupusas and tamales. The star for me was the super spicy red salsa served with it; it adds that bright heat to cut through the heavy fried yucca. The jamaica was sweet and refreshing too. Service was great and attentive. They have two big dining rooms that I'm sure get busy on weekends with simple, colorful decor. Theres also a separate counter for to go orders only, next to the forthcoming bar area. Parking is a little cumbersome but they seem to share a garage with the apartment building above (?).

We grew up eating these pupusas since i was 13 now 35 it was always a go to for me and my family. Don Juan was always welcoming and became friends with my dad. They now have moved location to a bigger nicer location. We stopped by on Friday everything was delicious and the place is nice inside. The reason it is not a 5 star is because we ordered chicharon with yucca and it was good however the veggies were not cleaned washed properly. The veggies had baby snails all over them. Once we told the serve he said okay let me take it back they washed them but gave us the same ones back then the serve states " i have a friend who eat raw mangos and never has been sick" its not about that we are at a restaurant expect things to be good, since we are paying customers. An apology would have suffice.

I have been a long time patron when they used to be on Hoover. Since their relocation I've tried a few times and have been disappointed. Today's food was inedible;the chicharron was awful fat chunks. I basically paid $22 for Yucca and a watercress salad.

If you are ever looking for authentic Salvadoran food, check out this spot! I recently visited this location and it was a great, casual sit down with unique meals. we got the plantains and a few papusas. Friendly service and homemade meals. Highly recommend!

I'm going to start off by saying, Everyone in Koreatown knows their O.G. spot on 7th & Hoover. Well they have moved to a big & better place. Honestly I'm surprised it took this long, especially with how busy and how the wait time was on the old spot. I'll be honest I would always go just for the Pupusas. So when I dined in here obviously I just ordered pupusas. I got 3 pupusas de Queso (maiz) and my GF got 2 pupusas 1 revuelta and 1 de Queso de arroz. This is still hands down still one of the best pupusas spot around. Cheesy, and Big. I could've of easily gotten 2, since how big they are. My only thing I would say is, be prepared to pay close to 7 dollars for these pupusas. A little on the pricey side, but I think you won't be disappointed with the size! Keep in mind they have a reward system, which it will accumulate with time if you keep coming back. For example my bill was 45 dollars and I had 8 dollars in rewards so I used it and it discounted me those 8 dollars. Can't complain about less money. Dine in was perfect, nice experience, and environment. I would highly recommend this spot, just beware on going here anytime during the weekend, wait time might be long. It does get busy! So maybe give them a try during the weekday.

We came a couple of months ago and had their loaded yucca fries with carne asada as well as some pupusas. The meat on our fries felt really low quality-- the best way I could describe it was it tasting like frozen hamburger meat-- and gave us indigestion for the rest of the night, which was really disappointing to experience. Today we unfortunately experienced some really rude service. My bf ordered a plain water and we were given a fresco ensalada (no big deal, he likes it) We don't eat pork and ordered fried yucca on its own, just yucca frita. We were given a plate of yucca con chicharron :( I told the service we just ordered yucca frita and we were told that we did not specify that for her. I explained that we don't eat pork so we sent it back and were met with a displeasing look. I said we didn't want to yucca anymore since we had a lot of food already and she said "the kitchen already made it." So I said it was fine but just the yucca this time and she came back with the same exact plate just without the chicharron-- no visible plate change. Needless to say for the price, decline in food quality, and rude service, it's not worth coming back. At least not for a while.

We started with the ensalada, which was refreshing and had just the right amount of sweetness. For pupusas, we ordered the revueltas, loroco con queso, and frijol con queso. We tried both corn and rice dough, and honestly, both were delicious. My personal favorite was the frijol con queso with the rice dough- so flavorful and perfectly cooked. The yuca frita was exactly how it should be: crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside. The chicharrón was cooked perfectly as well, and the homemade green salsa that the sweet lady helping us made was the perfect addition. She was so kind, welcoming, and always had a friendly smile, which made the experience even better. Another thing that really stood out was how clean the restaurant is. It's spacious, with plenty of seating whether you're coming with a large group, your family, or just stopping by for a meal on your own. We absolutely loved this place and will definitely be back. Next time we're bringing my Salvadoran in-laws- I have a feeling this place will get their authenticity approval too! Spanish!
