I LOVE this place. Yes, the decor is dated and it's in a strip mall, but the Salsa is AMAZING. It's not spicy, but it's full of fresh flavors. The chips are WARM and fresh. The refried beans are made fresh as well. The price of it all is super reasonable. The Tortas (carnitas) was big, juicy and had the perfect amount of avocado throughout it. The chiles rellanos were wonderful. The portions were great and the staff was super friendly. They filled my chips and salsa throughout the meal. Very well done and very well priced! Service was super slow (albeit friendly) because they only had 2 people working during the busy lunch hour. The food was a good proportion for the price but everything was bland at best. No spices in the sauces or meat, and the sala had no spice to it whatsoever. Probably not going back. read more

Ive been coming here for over 15 years. This place is still hands down my favorite Mexican Restaurant in the Denver area. Their chips and salsa is always fresh, the chips have always came out nice and warm. I cant speak to most of their food since I get the same thing every time I come here ( Steak Chimichanga with green chili). What is surprising about Los Nogales is that I have been here at least 70 times and never once have I been disappointed in the food or the service and that is hard to say... I have other favorite restaurants but feel at least 1 time the service or food has lacked but not here! I've been coming here since I was 16 but now take my wife and kids here and they love the food too. It does get busy but to me that just shows that they are doing something right. read more

Los Nogales is some of the best food in the area hands down. Staff is always friendly and food is fast and authentic!

This is our favorite restaurant because the food is always incredibly good. We usually order the chicken fajitas, and when they come to the table, sizzling hot in their cast iron plates, the smell just sweeps you away with the browned chicken, green peppers, and onions. Well I was really offended today. I am a repeat customer to the restaurant. Today I was treated like a second class citizen. I was with family and they kept over looking us and attending to the Mexican's. I am American Indian and Latin. Born and raised here. When the waitress came she had menu's that she got from another table and didn't give us them. I had to tell her to give us those menu's, she said oh he give u some. I was told that more then once oh he will get your drinks oh I will her toget your drinks over and over we were passed up. But if there were Mexicans from Mexico sitting down they ran to them. I was going to make a complaint with the owner but he wasn't in. So I thought I would post our situation here. I refuse to leave a tip. If you want to treat Americans like second class citizens u get a second class tip. Don't think I will return anytime soon. There to many other places to eat with better service. read more

Nothing special about this place. Ordered a wide variety of dishes. A small cocktail... which tasted like orange juice and shrimp. Oasters one was bad and the other came half and sent it back, cook sent it back saying it was ok and was not going to change it. Oh well, no biggie right?! Rice and beans lack taste and just ok, I gues I would say it's better than fast food. Fish dish ok. Steak dish was decent and well cooked. We heard great reviews from people saying to check this place out. Reviews online were not so hopeful but word of mouth is more powerful right? We came around 7pm and they were quite packed for a smaller restaurant. We were seated promptly and given our drinks. But after this it went downhill. Service was terrible. Our waitress was probably the worst one i have ever encountered in years. She got other orders and never came to us. She missed us several times, my patience was now minimal at 30 minutes. I shouted well not shouted I just said excuse me we need our order taken. She literally was right by our table and was about to walk away again without getting our order. So, here's the thing if you have 1-1.5 hours to spare check this place out. But if you are crazy hungry and then turn into a monster if you don't eat then run and don't even think about coming here. I mean it ...run! We waited 45 minutes for our food and the waitress never checked on us. I will say the food was good. But I can't imagine coming back here unless I'm In my pajamas and they are playing a good movie on tv. Well they don't have a tv, nothing not even little dancers to entertain us. I was bored and hungry as hell. Bad combination ask my husband! I'll have to say thumbs down on this place. Perhaps it was a bad night but I'll never be back. We went on a week day for lunch & they were not busy. Read good reviews so we wanted to try. Big mistake. Service & delivery of food were prompt. After taking & delivering order, server did not come back to check on how we were doing, offer to refill chips or beverages. The food was very bland. No spice in the salsa either & no spice on the table other than salt/pepper. The chips were warm & that was good. The refried beans were watery. Never got bill from server because she was visiting with a friend. Will not return. read more

First of all I've been to this establishment about six different times and thought maybe the next time would be better but it only gets worse. Yeah their food is okay and a decent price but their service and wait staff is horrible. Every time I go there I wait about 20 minutes to be seated which is fine but they have no designated waiting area so you are basically waiting at someone else's table staring at them while they eat. Not to mention going to a Mexican restaurant you get a hot plate of food but going here you cant even enjoy your meal because it is like 90 degrees in this establishment that you are literally sweating in your food. Also the last time I went here I asked the waitress for a glass of water it never came so I asked again about 10 minutes later she is no where to be found so I ask a different waitress "he says okay" the water never comes so I ask our original shitty waitress again she avoids bringing the water and goes to clean up another table so I finally go to the cashier and ask for a water and he brings one over. BAD SERVICE..... This place is okay food but I don't know how these waitress/waiters make money they are by far the worst staff ever.
