What a happy find! It was truly a stumble upon spot on our way back from Morro Bay. Despite all the times I've visited the area, I've never encountered this place so I hope this puts it into the map for others. They have a small shack selling incredibly scented lavender. They even had a dog detangling spray! I purchased a lavender infused honey, a bar of soap that was gorgeously carved with a fleur des lid & a small vile of lavender oil. I wanted more goodies, especially body wash and shampoo but I'll be returning for those for sure. The gentleman were so helpful, informative and friendly. They also sell irises which they propagate! I had contacted Sean prior to our visit to let him know that about 20 people would be visiting, bringing lunch and exploring the farm. He got back to me immediately with a positive response. When we arrived, Sean was wiping down all the picnic tables for us, (it had just rained). We really enjoyed exploring the field and the lavender products, as well as talking to Sean about his farm. A small lavender farm in Los Olivos. A lovely stop while in the area. In the summer you will find the lavender in full bloom. Smells and looks heavenly. The lavender farm is year round so you may not always see lavishing lavender bloom. Yet the quality of the essential oil and products are amazing here. The farm uses a distiller made out of cooper to produce high quality essential oil. The products are great, my favorite is the lavender honey from my haul. You can bring food and are welcomed to picnic. The family here is very nice and welcoming. There are nice trees as you drive down the path and the shop has air conditioning. They recommended we visit Foxen Canyon another lavender farm nearby to get more lavender experience. Very humble and nice owner. This is the place to get quality essential oils ! read more

This was such a cool spot to visit! My husband and I wanted to do a fun but low key weekend in Solvang/Los Olivos, and this place totally fit what we were looking for. The farm is super cute with very relaxed vibes. We got to chat with Sean, who owns and operates the farm with his mom. He was so nice and gave us some really interesting insights and information, but also gave us lots of space to hang out and roam around. The two little shops are adorable and had some really cool products- I bought quite a few items, with absolutely zero sales pressure. I was so glad we visited here! read more

Small farm with a walkable lavender field and lots of lavender products on display and for purchase. Unfortunately we came near the end of July by which time the field was quite dry and barren. Pretty cool little place. There's a little tiny shack with one guy working in it. They make all the products they sell from the lavender that grows there. For being a lavender farm, I thought that it would be a pricey tourist trap, but in reality, I really appreciated the value that they put into their products. This place was just so magical! We decided to stop though here right before we continued on our road trip. Shane and Ken were absolutely amazing and such great people to chat with. They offer products made from their own organic lavender and wow do they smell amazing! The fields of lavender were unfortunately not in bloom but they had an assortment of other plants that you could check out! The lavender field is modest, but still cute and has a promising future if they decide to expand it. There is still some areas of the lot where it would make for some cool photo op's. Our fave spot was the sunflower mural painted across the back fence. There's a huge oak tree that's a breathtaking view to admire. A little gift shop full of lavender goodies to buy for yourself and others is in the middle of the lot. I'm a sucker for this calming aroma, and appreciate its versatile ability to compliment spices such as salt and pepper. No admission prices or reservations needed, nor is there any obligation to purchase the merch but how can you not while in Solvang?? This is a lovely spot to stop if you're in the area. The owners graciously allow people to enjoy their farm free of charge and there is a small shop to buy all things lavender. I came on a really hot day a few weeks ago and loved the beautiful Spanish olive tree-lined driveway. There were several seating areas in the shade to enjoy the view of lavender and sunflowers. I think most of the lavender was recently planted so it wasn't as lush as another family-run farm I visited this season. I like that it was very casual and laid back but I was hoping for a fresh lavender lemonade stand to quench my thirst. There may have been some bottled drinks available in the store, but since there were a number of people inside, I unfortunately didn't notice. I wandered around the perimeter to enjoy some of the mature lavender plants as well as the pretty sunflowers and was thankful for the shade from the olive trees. It was all very serene and I think it will be amazing once the lavender fills out more. read more

Clairmont Lavender Farm was a hidden find when my husband, our little girl dog (yes leashed dogs are welcomed) and I were wine tasting in Los Olivos. If it wasn't for a sign that pointed up the hill that there was a lavender farm, we would have not known it was here. We came on a Saturday afternoon around 2:45 pm. We parked and were warmly greeted by the owner, Sean. He even offered to fill a bowl of water for our little girl, in which he did for her. The owner told us that the lavender will be in bloom in June. Inside the gift shop are all kinds of things made from the lavender that is grown on site. I ended up purchasing a bottle of lavender lemonade and a small satchel of lavender, which ended up costing me $9.78 after tax (I am not a lemonade fan so I bought it for my husband. He liked it). The grounds of this farm is beautiful. As spring continues to progress, you see beautiful flowers and colors on the farm and the views of central California from here. Would love to come back here the next time I am out in this area for sine tasting. read more

Def. check this place out next time you are in Solvang. Its not on the busy strip so its a few miles off the road but you will feel like you are in the country. Its SO Serene, beautiful and a natural xanax for the soul. Just breathing in the tranquil country air made me feel super refreshed after a night of non stop wine tasting. and just visiting the field is actually Free. The most recent visit this past weekend included a pretty much harvested lavender field, its still quite beautiful and relaxing. The Gift shop includes wonderful apothecary made from their own harvested lavender. I always try and buy a few things because I know the money goes back into maintaining the field. The owner (and his cutie pie dog) are always so welcoming. they have ample seating so you can just chill and gaze at the beautiful fields around you. read more

Saw the sign and knew I had to make a stop.....a stop that turned into a half hour journey. Thanks to Sean, one of the owners, for his amazing knowledge and willingness to tell me about all things lavender. I came here in early April, when the lavender weren't in bloom yet...oops! However, the couple were very nice and welcoming. They have their house right next to their shop, and you can just park right in front of their store. There are some tables where you can eat or take a break. Super cute little place. I guess we came on an "off season" cause there was barely any lavender around. Its more of a small house with some lavender plants on the outside. For some reason, i was envisioning fields of lavender with a tour on a truck. Regardless, there's a nice man that was working there that was incredibly knowledgeable about lavender. He told us about different species and how they differ. All the lotions and balms are handmade at the fam and use their specific species of lavendar. We were told the oils last 115 years! The smells were great and we ended up with a lot of goodies to take home. Would definitely recommend as a quick stop on your road trip. read more

It was a great experience stop by the Clairmont Lavender farm. I drive on Alamo Pintado all the time and I noticed the sign and I decided to stop in. My mom has been talking about getting lavender products so I wanted to see what they had. There's signs telling you where to go on the street so you don't get lost. Once you find the sign of where the farm is, you go down the driveway and at first I'm thinking this is very narrow and I'm glad no other cars are coming in since it'll be a tight squeeze for 2 cars. It's a beautiful scene with lots of trees lining the driveway on both sides. The lavender field is on the right as you're coming in. I park right in front of this little cabin looking thing. I walk in and look at all the different products they have. Then I hear a voice telling that he'll be right now. The owner, Sean, comes over and goes over the history of the place and goes over the products they have. He went over the concept of the place and said that right now this is the peak season for lavender. But it's going to be out later harvest because it was a cooler spring. He also explains how there's two different types of lavender and there's either the one that's more fragrant but is grey or they have the more purple but less fragrant ones. read more

While leafing through the many pamphlets and brochures at our hotel in Solvang, I was thrilled to discover a lavender farm not to far from our daily routes of wineries and animal farms. It sounded like a nice change from the usual mix. This ended up being a quaint lavender farm field with a small charming, old wooden farm house on the side with a multitude of lavender products for sale. Although the lavender weren't blooming, the property and store both smelled wonderful. They carried everything lavender from dried sachets to hand sanitizers and essentials oils to honey, teas and salts. I have been quite the lavender fan since visiting the lovely lavender farm in Kula, Maui, Hawaii. I ended up purchasing a hand sanitizer, a room spray mist, sachets, and a couple of greeting and postcards. I hope that the recipients of these gifts are as much of a lavender lover as I am! You could say that I was in lavender heaven after making this stop because from that moment on everything we had packed for our trip and our van had that familiar sweet floral, calming scent to them. Driving between Solvang and Los Olivos, I spotted this lavender farm. I've never seen one before and just spontaneously decided to check it out. Lavender season just ended. So the beautiful lavender landscape had already been picked as mentioned by the woman in the gift shop. There were several hand crafted souvenirs and goodies to choose from herbs de provence to soap. Lavender isn't my favorite type of scent or herb, but this a great stop for a lavender lover. Although they did sell lavender chocolates, it would have been nice if they sold more lavender infused treats or beverages like a lavender lemonade. It could have featured their product and would have been refreshing for a 100 degree day. I guess I'm used to going to farms that include products ready to eat like apples, cherries, or berries. read more

In normal seasons, they would have lavender fields all over this property, but because of Covid last year, they were not able to plant as many plants due to the uncertainty of everything. After a great brunch in Solvang, we stopped by before heading out for some wine tasting. The driveway leading in is narrow, so you may need to pull aside to let a car go out. Upon entering the small shop, my nose thanked me as I took a deep breathe of lavender in a nice air-conditioned store. Lots of lavender products ranging from shampoo for your pets to lavender water mist to home made honey and lotion. I almost wanted to buy lavender soda just to try it, but I was stuffed from brunch. My favorite part is the backyard feel under the big tree. Lots of lawn chairs and tables for your resting pleasure. Great photo opportunities if you want to capture a little of everything. As the wind blew, a light lavender breeze relaxed all of us as we took a little nap in the shade. I would definitely come back the next time I'm in the area. read more

I wish I could give more stars bc the owner & his dog are very kind & welcoming. But we drove 3hrs (in traffic) to come see the lavender fields and there was no update on their website of the delayed bloom, due to the prolonge "May Grey" & lack of warmer temps. I have a lavender plant in my backyard & it had already bloomed. So I though it was a good time to finally visit. So it was disappointing to arrive to a grey field. The owner said by the 3rd week of June 2018 it'll be ready, but it's not a trip I can do so often. And its lot smaller than what it looks like in pictures. The products are a bit pricey, considering they make their own stuff & don't have to import main material, pay transportation, customs fees, deal with quarantines, etc. It's dog friendly & has a picnic area but we didn't see restrooms. read more

I've come here over the years when visiting Solvang. They have so many different items with lavender and I've purchased several of them. They make great Christmas gifts and I use them too (especially the lavender massage oil!). The owner is kind and a wealth of information about lavender and local life around Solvang and Los Olivos. I also enjoy walking among the fields and taking pictures of my girlfriend near the flowers. Though we miss the lavender bloom (around June-July), it's relaxing to walk in the fields. They used to have a bathroom but had to remove it. I hope they get another one soon! That's not a big thing... just drove into Los Olivos and some hotel/winery may be accommodating. Sometimes fate steps in.... was heading to care my for mom who lives in the central coast when I had remembered from a previous drive there being a lavender farm on the way- I had been having a rough time- had news of a friend unexpectedly passing- thought I'd stop by the farm for a much needed distraction- it was closed however a man had pulled up at the same time- happened to be Shawn one of the owners- he graciously offered to open and let me visit- that generous act of kindness meant more to me than he knew and it was above excellent customer service. It was exactly what I needed- it's absolutely enchanting- gorgeous lavender fields- lovely picnic spot available to enjoy, leashed dogs welcomed, adorable gift shop with handmade items including teas, honey, soaps, lotions, salts, and so much more! Even while wearing a mask I could still smell the heavenly scent surrounding me. How I appreciated being able to visit the farm and learn of its history. Shawn was kind, helpful and knowledgeable.
