    Grilled chicken burrito.

This is honestly the best taco truck I've ever been to family owned very nice. They always cater to whatever we want. They take our ideas and run with it and make us amazing food. They're always there when we need them. Best taco truck ever.

carne asada torta with an excess of beans

Came here after everything else was closed on a Saturday night around midnight. In a quiet nice location next to Safeway, so plenty of parking. The service was quick and easy and the person taking the order was super kind! They also accept apple pay!! I ordered the carne asada torta, which I give an 8/10. If there was a little more mayo and less beans, it would've been so much better. But I didn't mind. It was still super yummy! I would def come back.

THIS PLACE IS DELICIOUS. Wanted to try out a new taco truck since we usually go to the same one every time and decided on this one. Gosh no regrets on that one. Absolutely cleared our plates. Very nice staff too

Pambazo: chorizo, potatoes, lettuce, sour cream and cheese
    Maddison R.

Seen this place driving by and have been wanting to try for forever. I tried the pambazo and the milanesa torta. The pambazo is potatoes, chorizo, lettuce, sour cream and cheese on a bread that's been soaked in a sauce (not spicy) and grilled slightly. I have never had one before and it was really good! The chorizo was very flavorful and the bread wasn't overpowering. The torta had beans, meat, onions, and some sort of light sauce. The torta was good but kinda small compared to the usual size of one. It was pretty busy, it took a little while to get our food but there was a good amount of seating available. Overall would comeback again, especially to try more of the menu.

This place is incredible. The food is soooooooo good. My favorite item on their menu is the carne asada fries. Everyone is so kind here too!

My first time having a Pambazos which they described as a wet sandwich. It was great... very flavorful! The staff was very nice and courteous. I also had a great conversation while I was waiting with someone who is originally from Mexico City who was telling me about life there. Hope to go visit when Covid is in the rear view mirror!

Health code violation from the city.

Me and my girlfriend tried to go there a few months ago and realized that the city has shut them down due to health code violations as 12/28/23. Avoid this food truck at all costs! It doesn't seem like their cleanliness was up to par according to the city! Take your money elsewhere!

If you want a yummy dinner or late night snack you need to come to Los Pambazos food truck. The tables with little lantern type lights. The food is amazing try the corn taco their popular item. Our second time hubby tried the pambazos and was delish too. Owner super friendly! We will be back.

    Chorizo Burrito

Pambazo (Pam-Bah-So), aka torta dipped in red chilli sauce then griddle fried for a crunchy outside. I got it with Al Pastor. Slightly messy, but totally worth it. Also got a burrito with chorizo to round it out. A return trip is in order to try out the Champion Burrito and Torta Cubana. Only in San Jose, would you find a Mexican taco truck, in the parking lot of an Ethiopian market, next door to an American BBQ restaurant.

    Pombazo $10, guava drink $3

I was running errands and got hungry so I stopped here and this was my experience... - Nearly no designated parking. If there was I didn't see it. - service was quick and friendly - pambazo wasn't what I expected but then again I never had one before. Didn't have too much flavor in my opinion. Maybe if it had chorizo in it. Overall, not too impressed but it was a good meal at the time.

Whooooa, what is this place! Well it's a truck tucked away on Winchester at the time. I didn't think I'd be able to try new Mexican food around here! But their pambazo was sooo unique! It's definitely the thing to get if you're trying out the place the first time. Didn't understand half of the menu and the lady was so nice and helpful! Even gave us some quesadilla to try! If you want something healthy, the alambres is definitely the go to, didn't know what it was at the time but it's basically a stir fry of steak meat, mushrooms, and bell peppers. 100% would come back and bring more friends!

Carne asada torta and shredded chicken quesadilla
    Tyler N.

This evening I stumbled upon a food truck parked next to South Winchester BBQ due to most eateries being closed early to SJ's curfew ordinance. I'm glad I did as I encountered friendly service to accompany a tasty meal. My choices were the carne asada torta (no frijoles) and shredded chicken quesadilla. Following a fellow yelper's advice, I took the chipotle sauce with the torta. The torta hit the spot but I'd much rather speak about their shredded chicken as I usually shy away from this meat as it's typically overly dry and/or bland at most places. This place is the exception as it was moist and flavorful due to the tomatoes and cilantro it's marinated/cooked with. In addition to the quality of food, it must be mentioned that this place offers fantastic value as well. Two tortas, a quesadilla and two sodas came out to be $19 for me. It's not too often you can feed two people for under $20 these days. An unprecedented find during unprecedented times.

Whenever I'd hear about a food truck back in the day, the first thing that would come to mind is prepackaged food. However, those days are long gone! These food trucks are now capable of whipping up gourmet meals that could potentially rival any local sit down restaurant. At this particular location, the trucks only come out on Friday night, with 9-11 different trucks to choose from. They also provide live music and fun games for the family. They do provide 5 gallon buckets that are used for seats, and a couple of planks/boards that can be used as tables while you are scarfing down your food. They have three available meats for their $1 taco deal: al pastor, carnitas, and chicken. The taco truck only accepts cash or Venmo. I ordered 5 tacos for $5.50 with different meats to try. You can order with either pollo, carnitas or pastor. I got 3 pastor, 1 pollo, and 1 carnitas since my friend said the pastor is the best meat here. Had to wait about 10-20 minutes for the food to come out. You can also see the meat on the rotator machine. * Pastor: The pastor meat is flavorful and so good for the price. I definitely recommend this be the number one meat you try. * Pollo: This is their chicken and I thought it would be dry and super bland but it was pretty good. It just tasted like a healthier taco option. Not bad but I still prefer the pastor over this. * Carnitas: Good but pastor still the best. All the tacos come with the option of onion and cilantro. They have a 3 sauce bar of the red, green and orange sauce. Yall their orange sauce got a kick to it! I like it because I like spice. Parking here is limited so you might have to find street parking. There's also a seating area on the left of the food truck and you most likely will share a table with someone else.

The best of the bunch was the dahi batata puri, but it still didn't quite hit the spot. It was definitely on the sweeter side and I felt like the dahi/yogurt wasn't as creamy as I prefer. The chinese bhel was okay, but didn't have much flavor. Lastly the ragda pattice had so much potential. The flavor was there, but it was insanely spicy- even as someone with a med/high spice tolerance. You could feel the burn traveling down to your stomach. Yesterday, I ordered a Vada Pav, Shalimar Egg Mughlai (on their recommendation from their list of egg dishes), and a Veg Frankie -- and honestly, none of it lived up to the hype(5 stars currently) or price point. Vada Pav: It was okay. The "mirchi" served alongside was literally a raw Thai green chili. Really? At least pan-fry it with some salt and oil to enhance the flavor. For over $10 with taxes, this was already pricier than better Vada Pavs you can get at places like Elco Drive, and yet it offered nothing exceptional. Frankie: This one made me genuinely angry. It was a soggy maida roll stuffed with the same aloo masala from the Vada Pav, plus a few sad shreds of cabbage. That's it. And they had the audacity to charge $12 for it. ($1.50 for cheese, lol I am glad we didn't add)This isn't a Frankie -- it's a lazy repackaged Vada Pav with no flavor or creativity. They threw in some pickled jalapeños on the side, which only added confusion. If you're running a fusion menu(well partially), at least mention it upfront instead of misleading customers. Egg Shalimar Mughlai: At $13, it was passable but still not impressive. The bun on the side was not toasted or anything. Better than the Frankie, but nothing I'd recommend or return for. I was so excited for trying this place but, overall, this place is overpriced, underwhelming, and frankly disappointing. If your Vada Pav and Frankie are practically identical, maybe inform customers before they order both. I wouldn't recommend Maya Kitchen -- save your time, appetite and money and go somewhere else. When paying by credit card, the machine presents fairly high default tip options, and with someone holding it right in front of you, it can feel like pressure to quickly choose one of the 15%+ options.
