Stopped by this solid taco truck tonight on the corner of Payne & Winchester, right by the Safeway parking lot. They have a few outdoor tables for seating along with some colorful old-school stools while you wait, which adds a nice bit of character. It was surprisingly busy for a Sunday night, but the line moved efficiently and I had my food about 10 minutes after ordering. They also make it easy to pay, accepting cash, card, and Zelle. I ordered the lengua, cabeza, and tripa tacos for $10 even, which is an excellent value. The tacos were a good size with corn tortillas and a ton of cilantro and onions. Each meat had a great texture, with the cabeza being especially tender and flavorful. They offer three different salsas, and the salsa roja was my favorite and had the best balance of flavor and heat without overpowering the tacos. Overall, this is a great late-night taco spot with fair prices, quick service, and quality food. I wouldn't quite call it the best tacos I've ever had, but it's absolutely a place I'll be coming back to regularly whenever the craving hits. 4/5 read more

Update!!! Los Pambazos updated their menu! The new menu is FIRE. I am obsessed with the asada fries, the flautas, and the California burrito! My new favorite meat is chicken tinga, it has so much flavor. My bf always gets the quesadilla de maiz and swears by it. We are here multiple times weekly... I'm not joking... the food is that good. Came here after everything else was closed on a Saturday night around midnight. In a quiet nice location next to Safeway, so plenty of parking. The service was quick and easy and the person taking the order was super kind! They also accept apple pay!! I ordered the carne asada torta, which I give an 8/10. Seen this place driving by and have been wanting to try for forever. I tried the pambazo and the milanesa torta. The pambazo is potatoes, chorizo, lettuce, sour cream and cheese on a bread that's been soaked in a sauce (not spicy) and grilled slightly. I have never had one before and it was really good! The chorizo was very flavorful and the bread wasn't overpowering. The torta had beans, meat, onions, and some sort of light sauce. The torta was good but kinda small compared to the usual size of one. It was pretty busy, it took a little while to get our food but there was a good amount of seating available. Overall would comeback again, especially to try more of the menu. read more

Whooooa, what is this place! Well it's a truck tucked away on Winchester at the time. I didn't think I'd be able to try new Mexican food around here! But their pambazo was sooo unique! It's definitely the thing to get if you're trying out the place the first time. Didn't understand half of the menu and the lady was so nice and helpful! Even gave us some quesadilla to try! He felt that all the trucks carry birria these days, and he wanted to serve something different. But people kept asking, so he called up his grandma and got the recipe. This evening I stumbled upon a food truck parked next to South Winchester BBQ due to most eateries being closed early to SJ's curfew ordinance. I'm glad I did as I encountered friendly service to accompany a tasty meal. My choices were the carne asada torta (no frijoles) and shredded chicken quesadilla. Following a fellow yelper's advice, I took the chipotle sauce with the torta. The torta hit the spot but I'd much rather speak about their shredded chicken as I usually shy away from this meat as it's typically overly dry and/or bland at most places. This place is the exception as it was moist and flavorful due to the tomatoes and cilantro it's marinated/cooked with. In addition to the quality of food, it must be mentioned that this place offers fantastic value as well. Two tortas, a quesadilla and two sodas came out to be $19 for me. It's not too often you can feed two people for under $20 these days. An unprecedented find during unprecedented times. read more

I decided to help start their yelp page for them. This food truck is owned by a husband and wife, very nice and friendly people! When asked why they didn't have a yelp page, he said that they are so busy and didn't have time to start one up. So here it is people! I always drive pass the food truck when going home. You can see the food truck (has bright flashing and changing neon lights) off Winchester (next to the Tana market) in the parking lot. I decided to stop by one night and got a large order of the chicken quesadilla with everything (lettuce, tomatoes, onion, peppers, cilantro) The food is excellent The only bad thing is they don't really have a set hour they open/close. Sometimes I see them there at 7pm other times at 8...8:30pm but they stay open until 2am sometimes. It all just depend on the amount of customers. So call before you go there! read more
