There tacos are good here. The cashier needs to check his attitude to paying customers. He sounds like a jerk. When I'm paying over $20 for tacos & burritos & requesting extra salsa, he told me it's going to cost me extra $2 for 1 extra. I complete highway robbery. My co workers had been talking about a highly recommended taco truck. Their initial recon of the truck had a long line and wait but they said it was worth it. I was craving tacos and brought the three amigos with me to Tacos Santiaguito. We came at the right time, no line and no wait. The menu was straight up and didn't have weird trendy items. I ordered three carne asada tacos and one chorizo. I was then asked how much cilantro I wanted which was awesome. Too much can be overbearing. The tacos were spot on and very well balanced. The tortilla was pliable but still crispy. The chorizo was rich in flavor but not overbearingly salty, nor greasy (that means it's healthy to eat right?...). The carne asada had that tender flavor but had just the right amount of char and was not dry. Great tacos, probably my favorite in the area including SJ. I'm a bit offended that they were not willing to give me what I asked for. I asked for all three salsas because I was ordering for myself and a friend and we like different salsas. The guy who took my order gave me a "are you serious" look when I made the request since their self serve salsa bar doesn't exist because of the pandemic. I ended up not getting all the salsas which is mind boggling to me because I just spent $25+... Their salsas are already preprepared in small containers that they just grab from their fridge and put in your to-go bag. Best taco truck in Santa Clara even the Bay Area! I've been going here for 5 years now and the food has always stayed consistent and delicious!!! Love them so much and they don't skip, my favorite is topping things off with their green sauce, it's like crack lols their super burritos are also really good :) Definitely a must try if you're in the area. read more

They're here every day except for Wednesdays. Unlike their first truck over off Saratoga Avenue, there isn't a 30-minute wait. This can only be attributed to the newness of the location because the food is tasty. Tacos, quesadillas, burritos... And every type of meat. There are 3 different salsas ranging in heat. (The green is my favorite.) there also radishes and jalapeños available. Just ask for a Baggie or plastic ramekin to bring 'em home. The tacos are average in size, but serve up more meat than most places. The quesadillas are cut into fourths served with crema fresca and guacamole. It seems that the one just across the street is way more popular. Dont know why cause when i went there the meats where all under seasoned. Going to this one only one oer person was in line with me. Lengua, buche and pastor were all solid. The tortillas got a bit soaked through so it was a bit messy. Wish they had heated them a bit more. Next time ill ask them to crisp it up, otherwise the proteins are way better seasoned than their other truck across the way read more

Suggestion to the business (not to be rude): You need some way to communicate to your customers if you will be at this location or not. I realize that other events and catering gigs are more lucrative (moola moola), but my wife and I need our tacos fix every week. There are several taco trucks in the area, but this one is the best one, and ive been here many times. Earlier today for the 1st time, my take out order got screwed up. Needless to say, i didnt bother to check until i got home. I did call about the issue, and they did offer to compensate the missing items at no cost (Although in an impudent way). (4.5 stars is more accurate) I'm not sure why there are two Tacos Sanitaguitos on Yelp, so I'm going to leave the same review on both. We used them to cater a company event and are very happy to have done it! The food was delicious, the price was pretty fair, and the staff was very nice :) I spoke with Oscar and his brother (apologies for forgetting his name) for awhile and they explained how they try to make the food as authentically Mexican as possible. They have a wide selection of meats and their tortillas are some of the best I've ever tasted! The only reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is because it was a little difficult to communicate with them over the phone when we were trying to plan the event (some uncertainty on whether or not they would be able to make it, sometimes would have to send multiple follow-up texts to get a response). Overall, I would recommend using them for an event, or just going to visit their truck at their normal business locations! read more

Found this taco truck on rainy evening and stopped by to check it out. The tacos were amazingly good and inexpensive. The guys make fantastic buche (stomach). It's tender, well seasoned without any 'offal' odor. My favorite, though the pastor is a close second. Quesadillas are good too,loaded with lots of salsa, crema, and guac. The guys are super nice and we love stopping by for dinner. We've returned at least 2 a week since that first time. Great thing is, no lines and I get my food in about 5 minutes. read more
