They have three available meats for their $1 taco deal: al pastor, carnitas, and chicken. The taco truck only accepts cash or Venmo. The atmosphere was casual, with plenty of group of friends waiting for a late-night bite. The food was definitely worth the wait. The tacos were filled with meat, onions, and cilantro. My husband found this place on social media as they were promoting their $0.99 Taco Tuesday special. It's a taco truck with a tent and picnic tables set up next to a smog station. I like that you have the option to dine-in and eat the tacos while they're fresh. The picnic tables and surrounding area were clean and well lit. Note, it's cash only for the Taco Tuesday tacos. We came at ~5:30PM and found a parking spot out front. Luckily, there was no line as we heard this place can get busy. I ordered 5 Al Pastor and 5 Carnitas tacos. 10 tacos might be overkill as I found 6 tacos to be more enough for a filling meal. I personally liked the carnitas better than the al pastor, but did find that both meats were on the dry side. The tortillas are smaller than your average street taco, but for $1/taco, you can't complain about this deal. They have a mini sauce bar with 3 types of salsas. Green, red, and orange. Note, all salsas have a kick, with orange being the most spicy. We were informed by the lady working that they don't give salsa containers if you dine-in so you have to pour the salsas directly onto the taco. I came here twice recently and tried a good variety of the menu, and I can't believe it took me so long to get back here. On the first visit I got a Torta and two sopes to share, I'd had the sopes in the past and liked them. The sopes were still very good, but the torta absolutely stole the show. I didn't get it on my second visit because I wanted to try some more stuff, and regretted not getting it because it was so damn good the first time. On the next visit I ordered a super burrito, quesabirria, shrimp taco, and taco plate with Al pastor, all to share again. It was for two of us and was way too much food, but the leftovers were great. The burrito was super solid, nice and big and loaded up with everything. The al pastor tacos were good, and I'd definitely order the al pastor again in either burrito or torta form. The food truck shares the area of an auto body shop, so you can park directly on site or park the KFC next door. It's only a 3 minute walk away. The goat flavor was bold and unmistakable, yet cooked so well that even someone in my group who never eats goat ended up taking my whole taco... and then we ordered another plate. That's how good it was. The only real miss? No horchata. I had to pair it with alcohol, water, or a fountain drink, and honestly... quesabirria without horchata just doesn't feel right. The asada and chicken are always too dry but the sauce can make up for it. The pastor is always moist though. I wanted to try their asada fries and it was really nice on a cold day. Fills you up and keeps you warm. Just rmemebee you don't get to go containers for the sauce if you dine in. Their tent with tables is a really nice touch to just hang out. Birria ramen and quesabirrias are def trending now!! They're really not classic traditional Mexican food. Well, birria is traditional, but not mixed with instant ramen or the quesabirrias. And even though birria means goat, everyone uses beef in their quesabirrias and birra ramen these days. It's all good with me. It's new, it's fun and tasty too. I jumped on quesabirrias a while back when one of the very first places in the Bay Area started serving them in the East Bay. This was fine here, but the tortilla got very soft very quickly. Be sure to eat these asap because once the cheese solidifies, you won't get that ooey-gooey cheesy goodness. Hubby loved the beef and said he'd come back for this. I came for the Birria ramen. It's made with instant ramen, but it's all about their own broth and beef. I got plenty of tender beef in my instant ramen bowl, and the broth was flavorful without being overly salty. I ended up dipping my quesabirria into the ramen soup. At $8.99, it's not inexpensive for instant ramen, but again, it's about the broth and the beef. Service is pretty quick even though it was pretty busy at moments today, on Saturday. Also, though it's a food truck, there's a decent amount of bench seating on the side. I really want to love this taco food truck and their revolutionary ramen taco that they are selling. We came there during non rush hour on a Wednesday. Their location is at the same place where the oil change place is, forgot the name. However, they have their own tent, chair, and table to eat outside. Why it's only 3 stars: - We came here specifically for their taco ramen. My girlfriends even came all the way from Hayward to test their new ramen menu. Verdict is their ramen noodle is too soggy for me. And their taco broth is just overwhelmingly too salty for my taste bud. Saying "I don't like this food" is way too harsh to judge someone's food, however, we are accustomed to what we eat, therefore, we have our own standard in judging if the food is too complex or has too much seasoning on it. In short, if the food doesn't satisfy one customer, it might satisfy other customers. - We also tried their tacos, lingua, beef, and grilled pork. Those tacos are delicious. Kinda need seasoning a bit more on the meat, but the meat is tender enough, which means they did a good job in tenderizing it. - We tried their cheese quesadilla as well. Pretty standard, quite solid quesadillas, quite authentic if you compared to the ones served in mexican fusion restaurants. - Aqua Fresca is nice and refreshing.
