The last time my friends attempted to eat here, the restaurant was full and it will take at least a 30 minute wait to get seated. Today, the 21st of November was our lucky day as we were craving the freshest ceviche Ensenada has to offer and experiencce the five star rating Muelle 3 was known for. Our party of 4 chose to sit outside to eat lunch on this cool, cloudy Friday afternoon and be exposed to the sights and sounds of this busy commercial and fishing port. Within minutes of getting settled, our free appetizer - Tortilla Espanola and a plate full of lemon & lime slices with an oyster shell-full of sea salt and chili powder occupied the center of our table. Then came the Ceviche de la casa. A winner in my book of ceviches! Plus a coaster-sized, fresh off the pan tortilla chips gave it a unique serving style. We had to order another bowl of tortillas because eating ceviche without it just won't be the same. The Calamar frito were perefectly breaded, without excess flour and grease in every bite. Another winner! Last but not the least is the Pasta de Mar with the clams of different sizes and pre-cut scallops in the their shell. Muy Delicioso! More hungry patrons started arriving and we still got prompt service. I will make it a point to grab a satisfying seafood dish or two here the next time I visit Ensenada whether by car or by cruise ship.

This time, I wasn't taking any chances. I called exactly 10 days out (their max window) to lock in a reservation. We arrived early and were seated right away. Our server was super friendly and honest, too. When he saw us ordering the mixed sashimi and the ceviche, he gently suggested we get a half order instead, since we had a lot of other dishes coming. We agreed... and were shocked by how big the half portion was! Our son said, "I've never seen a restaurant talk us out of ordering more food." Respect. Honest people, great vibes. As for the food: * Mixed sashimi (yellowtail & octopus): 3/5 * Ceviche: 5/5 * Fried calamari: 4/5 * Prawns with pasta: 5/5 * Three fish risotto: 6/5 (still dreaming about it) Drinks included a michelada, margarita, and a couple beers. All that for under $120. Total win. Amazing meal at a chill spot with people who treat you right. Highly recommend and it will be a must stop for our future visit.

What an absolute nightmare!! We stopped to eat here while in Ensenada because the grilled clams…read moresent us there LOL. That's what really had us going to eat there. They looked so good cooking on the grill you just can't help but stop and get one. The clams were cooking down where the market is and you make your way up the stairs to an open air style restaurant kinda rooftop style with very nice scenery.. I'll give it that. The oceanic scene was absolutely stunning! Now when it came to the service.. that was horrible!! We told him ahead of time we don't have much time because we need to get back onto the bus to our boat. We didn't want to get left behind and they assured us that the food would come out on time.. if they knew the food wasn't going to come out on time then they should've just told us like hey u won't have time for us to make that and that dish takes a while to make.. just communicate with us and let us know. So we get to ordering and he all scrambled and skipped my pregnant sister a couple times after she said she was ready to order. We started off with the grilled clams cus those was already ready and it was $10 each. It was delicious. We had to pay the man upfront separately for that. My bf gets one fish taco and one shrimp. I got a dozen raw oysters, and some tropical ceviche. My son got a grilled octopus plate. Everybody else that was with our group ordered something already and we waiting on the food and they taking hella long. They didn't bring shit out on time. Some ppl got food and others still waited. We killed the oysters quickly.. those were a good size and tasted fresh. The tropical ceviche tostada was good, I liked the mangos in it. Time was running out and we told dude to cancel our orders that didn't come out yet but he insisted they were coming out and is getting wrapped up and bagged up.. liar!! Had the total of $405 which we knew was BS!! We didn't have time to calculate and he insisted everything was bagged up and tried to say the tacos were on the house. WhAt a liar!!!! We didn't have time to check. Damn near ran to the bus so they didn't leave us. Come to find out, they did NOT pack everything. My brother n his gf was missing his shrimp skewers. The octopus plates was bs. Cabbage mix was undesirable. Octopus was tough. The tacos were the worse!! The shrimp one was all breading and inside was a tiny tiny shriveled up shrimp. All of the tacos didn't come with any toppings nor sauce. Just tortillas and a bunch of breading on the fish and shrimp. Food was ass and over charged us on the total and shitty service!! Would not come back if I visited Ensenada again. Would probably just buy the grilled clams that's about it.

I was on a cruise with some family members and usually find a place to eat in Ensenada. On this occasion we brought someone that had never been here and we really enjoyed our trip; none better than coming to Blanquita. We ordered two orders of the famous clams. Each order is two clams [for those who have had too many cervezas, that's a total of 4 large clams for the four of us]. Each order [2 clams] is $180 pesos or about $10 dollars. These are some of the best clams I have ever had, barring maybe New Orleans. Even my daughter, who was reluctant, loved it. We also had some fish and shrimp tacos and everyone was happy with everything we tasted. The tacos were $50 pesos which is a little over $2.50 in dollars. NOT cheap but considering the location, very reasonable. There are a bunch of men out there trying to get you seated. Once they seat you, you are theirs. In other words, they are going to serve you and they get commissions and tips. Our guy was good, Tony Montana [no cocaine jokes please] and he was pretty good. I will say, I understand the culture here and they are selling, selling, selling. The restaurant did charge us 80 pesos or more than $4 dollars for a soda, which is a crime but airports and other places do it all the time. And the views, well that has to account for something. But the beers were the same price so that was a great deal. Today's life lesson: More beer less soda!!! I wish I would have taken a picture of the menu prices.

I liked that they have colorful flags outdoors, which lent to the open and casual feel of this restaurant while also incorporating the Mexican culture. The waiter spoke English and was able to explain the menu. For drinks, I chose the Berry Sangria. This came in a huge glass! Loved the layering of this drink. I also ordered the Tamarind Margarita, which was darker than anticipated. Definitely had a tamarind forward flavor. I also had the oysters , which was nice and meaty but it wasn't as cold as I would like. I also tried the Ceviche De La Casa which had tuna, clams, octopus and tuna. This came accompanied with a bag of tostadas and four types of sauces. I loved the fact that you can adjust the flavoring of your ceviches with the available salsas including bottled ones that are brought to the table! I've never had this type of ceviche before and I was pleasantly surprised with different types of seafood that tasted fresh and vibrant. Definitely a great place to visit that wasn't overly crowded. I'd definitely visit again!

I was so excited to come here because I was on the hunt for a restaurant that served Aguachile! Options for the Aguachiles included Negro, Rojo, or Verde. I opted for the Aguachile Verde. The entire dish was so refreshingly light and palatable. I was obsessed with the taste of the fresh shrimp, cucumber, and red onion, all soaked in the tasty verde sauce and Tajín. It paired so well with the tostadas. It was also priced reasonably at MX$325, equivalent to about $19. The portion and abundance of the Aguachile were plentiful, as I was full when I finished. The ambiance of the restaurant was beautifully inviting and vibrant. I loved the presentation of the colorful, decorative papel picado flags, which added to the celebration of Mexican culture. The atmosphere was amazingly festive as a whole. The customer service was welcoming and friendly. Overall, La Cevichería Oyster Bar did not disappoint with the incredible Aguachile. I highly recommend coming here for that or any seafood dish that you're craving.

My fellowship, a cluster of mere mortals with taste far keener than foresight, insisted we seek a place foretold in gustatory prophecy: La Cocedora de Langosta. I assented, though the sea had begun to speak again. A cruel trick of salt and memory. We arrived. The lobster was not served--it presented itself. Shell split like prophecy fulfilled, meat steaming with tales older than Atlantis. The ceviche? Lime and fire in perfect alchemy. It hissed in my mouth like the last words of a betrayed siren. A whole fish, fried until its soul ascended, left bones so clean they could be used in ritual. Angels wept; I salted accordingly. The risotto arrived next, not on a plate but in a chalice. Each bite stirred marrow and memory, comfort and command. My sea legs stood straighter. My resolve thickened. Libations flowed--freely, fervently, faultlessly. The chalice refilled itself (or perhaps the staff were trained in illusion and replenishment). Laughter, clinking glass, and something close to joy dared to rise. Staff were keen-eyed adepts, operating with the grace of trained familiars. The atmosphere carried hints of volcanic enchantment and citrus optimism. Barry the Brave Muffin Baker--my misguided nemesis-ally--might have found peace here. Or at least, a decent aioli. Verdict: A rare convergence of flesh, flavor, and fate. Five stars scorched upon the firmament by my hand. I may never return. But that's only because the enchantment forbade it.
