Alejandro, our tour guide, told us about the history of this place. 28 years in business. That's amazing! There are 2 restaurants. He told our group to try the original first. This taco shop is well-staffed for the crazy lines. There is a line to the left for tacos only. After waiting awhile, we noticed the line inside to be shorter. We switched and ordered variety of items: fish taco, birria taco, adobada taco, quesabirria taco, and shrimp ceviche tostada. The fish taco and tostada tied for the best of the day. The only caution is quesadillas are a bit different here compared to Cali. They are smaller and use corn tortilla. Also, stay by the kitchen after you order. The number they give you is not for them to bring food out to you or for them to call your number when order is ready. You found a great place if the tour staff say they eat there three times a week!
In La Bufadora! Exactly the spot our tour guide hyped, and it lived up to it. Tortillas made from scratch, no question, and everything hit. We shared al pastor mulita, birria tacos, shrimp tacos, and fish tacos. Shrimp and birria were the standouts- those shrimp were perfectly fried, crunchy and not greasy at all. Service was impressively swift. We told them we had about 10 minutes to spare; they moved accordingly, got us out on time without feeling rushed. Ambiance leans a bit Americanized, but that's a minor note next to great food and efficient staff.
We were on a cruise ship excursion to La Bufadora and wanted to get some tacos. There is a really large restaurant that was super crowded. However, they also have a smaller restaurant that wasn't crowded at all. We decided to eat at the smaller restaurant. We ordered two asada tacos and one chicken taco. We were surprised that we both liked the chicken taco better. The guacamole was so good, and they had a variety of condiments. If you are visiting La Bufadora and want some great tacos, make sure to stop here!
I stopped here as part of an excursion, and it definitely has that quaint, family-owned taco shop feel. I just wish there had been a clearer explanation of how the food was prepared and what exactly was in each taco. I asked if the shrimp was fried and was told it wasn't, but it actually was. I was also told it only came with cabbage, but it had a white sauce I didn't care for, so I ended up removing the breading from the shrimp. The chicken taco was the standout, really flavorful, especially with the guacamole. Unfortunately, the bathrooms were not clean and there was no soap available, which was disappointing.
I booked a Royal Caribbean Cruise excursion tour of Ensanada city and LA Bufadora. Lidia Taco has 2 stalls here at LA Bufadora. This one on the corner has limited seating especially when the tour busses unload! I was surprised that my tour included free lunch. Everyone on the bus tour were given a ticket good towards 2 tacos (fish, Carne asada or Chicken) and soda. I chose the Mexican coke that came in a glass bottle and 2 fish tacos. They had 2 lines going through. Surprisingly they worked fast. They make everything right in front of you. The fish tacos were solid. Nice and crispy. I loved all the additional salsa and toppings on it. One of the salsas were spicy which made it hard to eat but that's my fault. I would come here again! The place was clean. No concerns from me.
The owner started us with tequila shots when we got off the bus. After exploring and shopping, we used our tour tickets to buy our tacos. Everything is freshly made and the staff was super friendly! Tacos were so delicious and first time eating in Mexico. I love how I could eat outside and people-watch without being bothered. I would definitely try other dishes if I come back to visit.

Tacos are fairly priced and so fresh - highly recommend getting a variety things and sharing them with friends. Pretty damn good tacos and one of the highlights of my trip to Ensenada. After a full afternoon of resisting the high pressure sales tactics of the La Bufadora shop gauntlet, this place is a godsend if you're a seafood taco lover. The lobster taco? Amazing. The shrimp taco? Better than you can get at home. You can pretend all you want that California tacos are just as good, but they just do it better here in every way. And the value can't be beat.
Saturday, September 7 Royal Caribbean Navigator of the Seas 85℉ / 55% Humidity Like many others, we came to La Bufadora on one of those tour buses and our guide recommended Lidia's for lunch. After walking around the flea market and taking pictures of the famous blowhole, we made our way back here to grab a few tacos. They are located near the entrance, just past the Bienvenidos a La Bufadora sign. It's the first thing you see when you get off the bus since all the buses park in the lot behind the restaurant. There are a few parking spots in front if you're renting a car. Lines can get long, especially if two cruise ships are docked at Ensenada on the same day. We came here about an hour before our bus was scheduled to leave to give us ample time. Seating is first come, first serve. but I just wanted shrimp and fish tacos! Corn tortillas are freshly pressed and hot off the griddle. You can watch them dip the fish in the batter and fry each piece to perfection. Crunchy on the outside, flakey on the inside! The shrimp also had a good crisp to it. Both are topped off with pico de gallo and shredded cabbage, adding acidity and flavor. They also serve tostadas, quesadillas, carne asada/adobada tacos, etc. but why bother with those? Stick to the fish and shrimp tacos! This place was very good. And packed they were pretty fast too. Very good customer service and I recommend after you see "La Bufadora" at the end of the road and fight through all the vendors and on your way back before you get on the bus to head back or what ever transportation you have Eat here. Remember restroom use is .75 cents. Good taco's here and drinks .
The food was good and the price was comparable. I had tacos (one of each: fish was good, shrimp was good, asada was okay, adobada was ok. The salsas are good and spicy. The michelada was the best!!! Each taco was about $3 US dollars. The lines are messy- they have 2 but you wouldn't know unless you walk in and just make your way inside.

We stopped at this spot on one of our cruise tours while in La Bufadora. We had 2 fish tacos, a shrimp taco, and a beef quesadilla. The food was good and fresh. Fast service and cheap prices. It was a cute little cozy spot in the area. read more

Good spot in the marketplace area of La Bufadora, we definitely enjoyed all the food. Service was quick and problem-free, would definitely come back. The scene is setback from the road, some view of the street vendors. They tried to charge my friend $15 for a shot of tequila lol read more

It was everything we didn't know we needed. We started our cruise excursion early, and half our party of 13 didn't get up and eat before we left, which made for some hangry girls. So after zip lining and ATV riding in the mountains, we headed to the market with one thing in mind. Food. The exchange rate at the time was 16-1.... But they decided they would round up to 20-1 when ordering, which seemed a little odd. I felt like it was a little over priced for what you got, but they know they will get the business and the food is good. You order at the counter and they bring it to you at your table. The food! We got cheese quesadillas, several kinds of tacos and beans and rice. They have quite a few tables covered and uncovered for you to sit at. We all loved every bite. The fish tacos were so crisp and wonderful! Everyone claimed what they got was the best, which is always a good sign. Just a nice little taco stand on the side of the street at the market. Noisy and busy, we loved every second of it. read more
This is a solid spot for tacos in the area near La Bufadora. Tour groups regularly bring their guests here so this joint appears to do booming business from that clientele. The tacos are bigger than your typical street tacos and I would say two tacos is probably sufficient for most eaters. I was able to sample the chicken, al pastor, fish, and shrimp tacos and they were all solid with none of them really standing out above the other. They are priced around $2 per taco, which seemed fair. The corn tortillas they use were delicious and obviously made fresh. I wouldn't say the tacos were amazing but they were very good. The drinks are solid but you won't find any bargains with the drink prices. I had a good-sized Michelada for about $10 and they also make non-alcoholic fruit smoothies--like pineapple or mango--which also ran about $10 each. The Michelada and the smoothies were absolutely delicious. They have some seating under a covered patio and also some open-air seating. Good-sized tacos, solid drinks, attractive spot for some grub. read more

No taco will ever compare! Lidia has set the bar way high for tacos! Whenever and wherever we have a fish or shrimp taco, we think of Lidia's. Fresh handmade tortillas, deep fried crispy fish dressed with the perfect amount of pico de gallo and cabbage. The first time we had these tacos was on cruise in 2010. It was just a small hut at La Bufadora, now it's like a restaurant with more items on the menu. Lidias is a must if you're traveling to Ensenada. Quick tip: when the tour bus drops you off, you're given an hour to shop and eat. Make sure you come here first! The line is long and you don't want to miss the opportunity or the bus back downtown. read more

This was recommended by the tour guide and it was the best fish tacos I've ever had. There is plenty of outdoor seating and the food came out quickly. I opted for the fish tacos $2 US which came with a freshly fried fish on a fresh corn tortilla that you can watch them make in front of you. There are salsas available too from mild to spicy. Not pictured is the chips and guac and fresh pico de gallo which was $5 US. They also have bottled drinks for $2. Would definitely come back. read more
True to Mexican style tacos-- plain and dry. I asked for salsa to make the dry grizzled meat moist... there is no salsa bar. Bathrooms must pay to use. Service fast. Came here with our tour guide Monster. When in Mexico , gotta order some tacos. Our tour guide recommended this spot ... which ended up being a good choice. Prices good, friendly staff, and fresh food. Order first then go find a seat somewhere. Staff brings your order over when it arrives. Offer lobster tacos for $10; or an entire lobster for $30. Tacos were approximately $2 each and we'll worth it. The shrimp tacos , were fried ; fresh and warm . I would say the best shrimp tacos I ever had to be honest. Ordered asada tacos also, which were good . Asada tacos come with guacamole. There is also a salsa bar to top ur tacos. Asada meat was tender. The tortillas were homemade; good, soft and freshly made. read more

We have been patrons of Lidias for almost 15 years. She was a woman with an idea to make money. She started with a little shack of wood and she sold fresh tacos to the bus drivers. That was when we first went. She then had enough money for a brick and mortar building. She had a few tables and folding chairs for people. Then around 2019 she had a full restaurant with a bar and lots of permanent seating. Now she is actually part of the excursions to La Bufadora, including lunch. And the future? She is building a second location on the main road to La Bufadora that looks like it will be two stories with an amazing sea view. A true success story. And she employs about 15 locals to help her operate her business to her high standards. read more

If you are ever in Ensenada and decide to look at the natural blow hole, this is a great spot to eat. The food is good and plentiful. And the prices are cheap in comparison to eating here at home. The only bummer part was we came here with a tour and the line was super long. Recommend coming here on your own without a tour group. I wish I took some pictures of my food because it was delicious. read more
An open air taqueria where you can watch fresh tortillas being made as well as all the tacos being assembled. Salsas galore to choose from... Close to La Bufadora. The reviews on Yelp did not disappoint. The margarita bar was also excellent. $7 for a nicely liquored fresh margarita and it wasn't too sweet. Pina colada and other drinks available too! Loved the atmosphere and energy. You want to try all the taco places around here. If you can only choose one definitely come here. read more

You MUST get tacos here. We had the lobster tacos, fish tacos, and chicken tacos. The line was quite long, but it's just a testament to how amazing these tacos are. We watched the cooks preparing everything fresh to order. I would drive back to La Bufadora just for these tacos. read more

Ensenada is the trip me and my family took going to Mexico on a cruise ship from carnival. It was our only stop and we went to go to this taco/burrito restaurant. The view of the ocean from the restaurant is very nice. Lots of vendors nearby in this small city called la Bufadora. The service was average to be honest. It took quite a while to get four tacos made. It was about 10-15 minutes but the line was decently long. Prices are kind of high for the quality and quantity however, the tacos were only $2.00. The food was made fresh by hand. You can add different spices to it that is very fresh and authentic to the Mexican culture. The tables outside were comfortable and the people seemed pleasant. Bathrooms are nearby but costs 0.50 cents which is not worth it. I recommend to go in the bushes if you can. Save the money to get a add on to the taco like guacamole. Vending machines are included and telcel lte instead of WiFi. Overall, the experience was a one time experience that I say is worth the shot. They have margaritas and alcoholic beverages as well, for a hefty price tag. read more
