Thought we would try this new tenet for the old Bubbas BBQ building. Glad to see they kept the tree house but sorry to see it was boarded up. I had birrea tacos and they are huge. I think one would have been enough. Bummed that they did not have a consommé sauce, that would have made them perfect! My wife had a nice sushi roll, surprise they also have sushi! Tried it a couple weeks ago. I sat at the bar by myself. I tried to order a michalob ultra. The bar tender had to get someone else to translate. The entire menu is in Spanish with no explanation or pictures so I ordered 2 asada tacos because I couldn't read anything else on the menu. The asada was like trying to chew rubber bands. The corn tortillas were extremely thick and not very good. I couldn't eat them. Normally when someone pays their bill and 75% of their food is still on the plate someone would ask if everything was alright. Since my waitress/bartender didn't speak any English so I paid and left. I was surprised that during the football playoffs they only had one small tv in one of the dining rooms with soccer on. TLDR: Okay food, good atmosphere, standard wait. if you're here for some of the family fun amenities they had while this place used to be Big Bad Bubbas, they aren't here. The tree house is boarded up, and bridge is gone. The Mechanical Bull was also removed. Even with all this, the decorations are nice additives to the atmosphere, and goes for a Tex-mex aesthetic. Of course, there are also restrooms located within the restaurant. Food arrived with the first plate at around 10 minutes, with the rest arriving around 15 minutes after we ordered. Due to a small mess-up between the foods, one of our party members didn't get their food until about 25 minutes. We visited on a lesser busy Sunday, at about 1 PM. The two tacos I ordered tasted good, and the meat was seasoned much. Guacamole was provided in a tiny cup and was nice to put on the tacos. Just a couple notes that are just nitpicks. The straws that are used are quite short in the large fountain drinks. The menus are a bit busy, and may be hard to read due to the graphics behind the small text. All food costs slightly more when paying with card. Chairs are made with metal, they are heavy. read more

Then food just came out randomly, food here or there instead of per group. Came here with friends. They recently opened. This place is massive in size. However for the size they are understaffed. The servers are having to run from taking orders, host, delivery food, refill drinks, and bus tables. I feel really bad. The servers really do a great job of keeping up but it really would run more efficiently if they had a dedicated host/cashier, and busser. They have a bar. Apparently they only serve beer. We didn't order any alcohol so don't take my word for it. The food flavors were good. The Molcajete came with carne asada, chicken, shrimp, bacon wrapped jalapeño, queso fresco, nopales, and bell pepper. With rice and beans. Meat heavy but I was missing the nopales. Our friends ordered carnitas plate. She said they were good. Their son ordered the beef birria burrito which he said was good and he would order again. He did mention it had some bones in the meat so be aware. He picked them out as he was eating. Our other friend ordered menudo. He said the flavor was good. All in all good experience. Waitresses got mad when we decided to leave after waiting an hour and half for our food, after they admitted they didn't even know what we ordered. Soda was flat, tea was spoiled given to us in a cup she reused after giving us the wrong drink. Never got silverware or napkins. TVS were broken and it was very smoky. I will start this off on a positive note, there was tons of parking. I should have taken that as a sign. A restaurant just opening up should have packed parking lots. When my boyfriend and I walked through the parking lot we noticed how bright the restaurant was inside. Once inside we were told there was a 5-minute wait time. Not bad at all. The restaurant was too bright inside, not a relaxed setting at all. They only have beer as far as alcohol goes. They did not have ice tea. We both ordered shrimp tacos which came within 20 minutes of our order. The disappointing part was everything but the homemade corn tortillas and shrimp. Came for lunch with the Mrs. When you walk in the decor and feeling leaves a little to be desired. Not a full bar, beer only. We were greeted and sat pretty quickly. Menu is mostly in Spanish, but had a lot of options including sushi. I ordered the carne asada wet burrito, Mrs ordered cheese quesadilla and side of beans. Food took a little while to arrive but not too long, food was hot and fresh. We both finished our plates, which is a good sign. Our waitress did a good job. lunch for 2 with waters. $30.
