Our group included meat eaters, pescatarians, and vegetarians, and there was something for everyone. I ordered the grilled fish tacos with Spanish rice and refried beans. Since I'm allergic to shrimp, I let our server know, and he immediately made a note for the kitchen. I really appreciated the extra attention to food allergies. I liked that the fish was grilled instead of fried so the tacvos didn't feel heavy. It came topped with pico de gallo, shredded green and purple cabbage, cotija cheese and on the side they gave me pickled red onions and two lime wedges (dried out yikes!). It needed a creamy sauce or even replace the shredded cabbage with a slaw. The Spanish rice was simple but still had good flavor. The refried beans were creamy, smooth, and topped with shredded white cheese. One helpful tip for anyone with dietary restrictions: the menu does NOT specify ingredients for some of the sides. We noticed the vegetarian plate came with whole beans instead of the refried beans served with the non-vegetarian dishes. Based on what was served, we deduced that the refried beans likely contain lard, even though it's not listed on the menu. That could be confusing for pescatarians or anyone ordering seafood who assumes the sides are meat-free.
