Good food and service but, no black cherries for my "old fashion" cocktails 3 weeks in a row has me very disappointed. AND, no chilled champagne, which my wife orders weekly too. Bar manager needs to learn how to fully stock a bar. It's a clean and bright place with TV's in bar and back room for sporting events. Friendly service but, I'm irritated by the fact that they don't appreciate our loyalty. I'm looking for a replacement. I might go to the Chino location if I can't find another option near by.

I'm giving this place at 10. Because the food was so delicious. I had dinner here recently with a friend. Even though it was super crowded because it was a Friday night and the place was super busy. It was worth the wait because my burrito was the bomb. They kept our chips coming. The only thing negative I can say is that it was quite a long wait for our dishes to come. But I'll definitely go back on a different day or night when it's not so packed.

The first time I went I had Shrimp enchiladas. It was delicious and the beans are very tasty. I came back to try a shrimp burrito with cheese on top red and green sauce. I like the green sauce better than the red. Their red salsas are sweet to me. Not my preference. They did have one hot sauce in the restaurant that I liked. Their chips are fresh. Everything was made to order. Nice and hot! I would eat there again. Very reasonable prices.

Great delicious food and service! We celebrated my birthday today with a party of 5. We were sat immediately and our server, Ashley, took our drink order. Our drinks arrived in a timely manner. Our food was hot and delicious! Again, service was outstanding! Thank you Ashley and staff for a wonderful experience!

This place never disappoints. Food flavors are consistent and they are very attentive. Great customer service and always smiling. Every time I am in the area its a must when I am in the mood for mexican food. The place is clean n kept up. Ive ordered the albondigas before and those are great. This time I tried to keep it light so i ordered the deep fried snapper a la carte, no sides. Its gone up in price recently around $19. Great fish quality Love this place and love the people there from the employees and the managers/owners. This place makes you feel like family. Will always come back

First time here, recommended by a client. So glad we came! Our server America was super cheerful and attentive and kind. The restaurant has 4 large areas for eating. We were seated in the first one with comfortable green booths. The next one to the right is the bar, and beyond that is the terrace. Great lighting, bright atmosphere, friendly staff. We got up meet the owner, Ricardo, who told us all about the lunch specials and also made us feel very welcome. We ordered the Cadillac margarita and the house lime margarita on the rocks. Both delicious. I ordered one fish taco Ensenada style and one fish taco grilled. The tilapia was fresh and delicious--I like the grilled style even better than battered and deep fried. With the fresh lime on top it was so yummy! My husband ordered the burrito ranchero with shredded beef. It was a generous portion with plenty of sauce. We both liked the salsa that came out at the beginning with the chips so we added more of it to our dishes. All around a great experience. We'll be back!

It's been a while since I last visited this place, but it was just as good as I remembered! I've always appreciated how attentive and friendly the workers are, making sure every customer is well taken care of. Today I ordered the asada plate with shrimp -- a great choice and very reasonably priced. The meat was cooked perfectly: flavorful, juicy, and tender. The beans and rice made excellent sides, both prepared well and full of taste. I went with the flour tortillas, and they were absolutely delicious -- soft, fluffy, and perfect for making tacos. I'm not sure if they're handmade, but they sure taste like it! The chips and salsa were also top-notch -- the salsa had a thick texture and just the right amount of kick, making it hard to stop eating. There's plenty of seating and parking available, which makes dining here even more enjoyable. A special shoutout to the ladies working tonight -- true professionals who made the experience even better!

    My granddaughter and good food

Celebrated our only grandchild's college graduation. We chose Los Portales because it's our family's Go To restaurant. Whenever we have visitors, we go there. Ricardo and his staff never fail us. Food was Great (as always). We highly recommend Los Portales. Tell them Joe and Anna sent you !!! Thank You Ricardo and Los Portales employees. We Will Be Back.....

I used to eat here regularly about 15 years ago. I ordered a carnitas burrito with a house salad and a strawberry margarita. The wait staff was attentive. As I waited for my food I nibbled on the chips and salsa . The restaurant has good ambience. The food had a good presentation . As I ate my carnitas burrito I noticed the texture of the carnitas as being like shredded beef. At first it was kind of tough but tolerable. I then began to eat pieces that were so tough I hurt my molars. I notified my wait staff of the toughness of the carnitas. She said she would notify the manager. She took the half of burrito left on my plate. I finished my house salad which was good . The salads are topped with cheese with your choice of dressing. I also finished my strawberry margarita which was tasty. I received the check . The management did not reduce my bill due to the burrito meat being too tough to eat. I paid the bill and I left. It's too bad that management did not bother to address the too tough to eat carnitas issue. They used to address any food issue in the past. The restaurant was slow at the time I was there. Management should have done a better job of addressing my issue.

I love the ambience of this place from the traditional uniforms with Otomi embroidery and a tortilleria. Samantha was out server and she was wonderfully attentive and polite. I ordered a michelada that I called michelicious!! I ordered the burrito with shredded beef that was so tender and deliciously savory. Cannot wait to try other offerings

We wanted to jump back into Yelp and what better than to try a new restaurant we haven't tried yet. Trangs were craving Mexican food so we came across Los Portales in Chino. This place was really good and we will definitely be coming back. They have real authentic Mexican food. First off, there is a lot of parking here. It's very spacious and the staff was extremely nice. We came on a Sunday evening around 5pm and there was no wait. We walked in and were immediately seated. The restaurant is huge compared to the pictures we saw online. It's separated into three large sections. Each section with a modern look. They had cute kids menus with pictures which made it easy for my girls. They kept going back and forth on food and ultimately chose a cheeseburger - HaHa. Husband ordered the chile relleno and chicken enchilada and I ordered the chile verde plate. Everything tasted amazing! We also ordered drinks which were huge and came in a sealed plastic cup so you can take it to go. I honestly thought we were going to spend like $80-$100 because we also had chips and salsa and the drinks but come to my surprise - 4 meals (2 adults and 2 kids), chips and salsa and all separate drinks with tax came to $69 and some change. That to me is amazing! If you're looking for a nice authentic Mexican restaurant to go out to - which is also affordable - I would recommend coming here. The ambiance is nice, the staff is super friendly and the food is great! Can't wait to come back to try something different! Until next time! Thanks for having us! The Trang Family

Went there for lunch with coworkers, no issues while ordering and waitress was attentive and friendly. However, as we're getting ready to leave I spotted a cockroach running across right below our table!

Great local spot. Very extensive menu whether you're there for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. New patio area is bright and airy despite being indoors. Service is fantastic. This restaurant never lets you down.

A friend I met many years ago at a wine tasting invited me to a Burgundy wine class at Packing House Wines, and I attended. The store is located up a few steps on the north side of the Claremont Packing House. Parking is usually not an issue as there is a big multi-level parking garage on the east side of the packing house. All attendees sat down to a list of wines to be tasted, a printed out copy of the slides being presented, a big burgundy wine glass for pours, water, and a nice little charcuterie plate. The owner Sal gave the presentation, and it was easily the best wine class I have ever attended. He talks pretty fast, but not too fast, and his delivery was excellent, providing an extensive amount of information that was easy to understand. We pretty much learned everything about Burgundy wines from the history of the region, the stringent production laws, different classes of Burgundy wines, and details about all of the different producers and regions we tasted wines from. The class was scheduled for two hours, but it ended up lasting for two and a half hours. It would have been easy to stay for much longer as the class and wines were very enjoyable. The wine class was a little pricey at $125 per person, but this was a bargain as Burgundy wines are expensive. We were able to taste ten 1.5 ounce pours including several Premier Cru and Grand Cru wines (one of them was $350/bottle). My favorites were the '17 Albert Bichot Fixin ($53.99) and the '20 Domaine Lecheneaut Vosne Romanee ($124.99) which I purchased. They have wine classes regularly, and I will definitely return if one catches my eye. They have quite a selection of wines for sale, as well as tasting flights and food from their kitchen.

We were first introduced to one another by the previous owners, Mary and Jim, during one of their events--little did we know those introductions would grow into lifelong friendships. Over the years, our Wednesday Wine Nights became a tradition we all cherished. When we learned that the shop was going up for sale, we were understandably nervous. We wondered what would happen if it didn't sell--where would we go? And if it did sell, what if the new owners changed the shop in ways we didn't love? What if we didn't connect with them the way we had with Mary and Jim, who had become family to us? Then it happened, the shop sold. We were introduced to Maria and Veronica, and it was truly love at first meeting. They've got indoor and outdoor seating and they seemed a touch understaffed for being a beautiful day. It was also a Tuesday lunchtime so maybe they weren't expecting it to be as busy as it was. We were able to prove the menu before we got seated. And our super friendly server came out and we were able to order right away. They've got a lunch special. That is a small personal pizza with a salad and we each got that. Salads came out first and I had the arugula salad, which was absolutely phenomenal. 10 of 10 would eat this every single day. The arugula was peppery and it was well dressed in a lemon vinaigrette type sauce. I am a fan of just plain lemon on mine, but this was delicious. My husband got a union salad, which is their specialty I guess. It's got colored carrots and some beets and some shallots. I thought the dressing was bland and it certainly needed salt and pepper. We asked for both and didn't get either. Our pieces came out and they were nice and woodfired. I feel like they could've been done just a little bit longer maybe a minute or two. The sauce was a lovely fresh type crushed tomato sauce. The cheese was nice and gooey and did not feel or taste like a package of processed cheese. Pepperonis were greasy, but in a real meat kind of way. I had to dab mine, but my husband just went to town on his. The pickled peppers is a pickled jalapeño. Big chunks of them. They certainly didn't skimp on any of the toppings. They were a little sweet and a little hot. Some of the big chunks were a little too sweet for my liking but overall, it was a nice flavor mix Also from a size standpoint, I thought the salad and pizza were very adequate for lunch at around $20 price point I asked for salt and pepper again as well as a side of ranch. This time we did get the salt and pepper as well as cheese and crushed red pepper. But we didn't get the ranch until we were leaving. The server did apologize and said he thought someone else was bringing it out but I pretty much deducted a star because we asked for a couple different things that never came. Overall, the service was super friendly, the ambience was nice for an outdoor lunch thought. I thought the menu looked delicious and there were several things I would like to come back and try and I would go back again.
