    Churrasco Los Ranchos
    Rob F.

I used to go to the Los Ranchos location in Bayside back in the day and always loved the food but when they closed, I didn't think I'd see them reopen somewhere else. Then one day driving through coral gables I see their sign, had to stop in to see if it was the same. The churrasco was how I remembered it, tender and without any fat, sides were on point too. They gave me rice, sweet plantains and plantain chips along with a salad as a starter. Was happy to see they opened this location and I'll be back when I need a churrasco fix.

This is a restaurant that changed the dining landscape in miami. The original opened in 107th avenue by Flagler back in the 80's after the Somoza regime was overthrown and many Nicaraguans moved to miami. It grew to a chain of which only one remained in the falls. Before this opened none of us had heard of Dulce de tres leches or churrasco. Those are both now staples in many restaurants in town There was one in the gables exactly where this one is now . I thought it was a mistake but it's here and it's great. The churrasco is the signature dish and even if you are a big eater the "baby" size at 8 oz is more than enough. It's an excellent cut and they do it right. You will get a pretty good salad and bread and the dish will be served with mariquitas, platains and an excellent rice with red beans. They have a solid wine list and the ambiance is very refined. The service was perfect. Make no mistake though the highlight is the food. You may be told to try el novillo on bird road but the food is better here and the ambiance is more refined,

Wow. What a fabulous place to eat. I had the lunch carne asada - med rare. Comes with gallo pinto rice and sweet plantains and tajadas. Of course all the sauces were available and only cost $15.99. The steak was perfectly grilled and had sooo much flavor. Douglas waited on me at the bar and was an awesome attentive guy. The place is beautiful inside. What an amazing experience. Thanks Los Gallegos. Keep up the great work.

Honestly, this restaurant has been a part of the Falls blueprint from as long as I can remember. I came here for an event and did enjoy the food I tried and decided to come back. My mom loves steak so she ordered the churrasco with the gallo pinto. It came with mariquitas and platanitos. It was a lot of food. The steak was delicious. I ordered the pasta with the chicken. The chicken was grilled to perfection. Again, I felt like the portion was huge and definitely had left overs. Both dishes also came with a side salad, so great value for the amount received.

Had baby 6 oz presidente churasco and a 12 oz los ranchos churasco. Could not taste the difference. Both were very good! Ordered white jalapenos sauce on the side it's amazing! Also the guacamole on top of the salad was excellent. We ordered sangria had good flavor. Our server was terrific and always came by! No room for dessert we were too full! The place is very clean but not easy to find. Nothing popped up trying to find it even though I was using my GPS.

We came here to have dessert. We shared a tres leches. The Los Ranchos Trea Leches is one of the best in Miami. I highly recommend it. I've come here to dine at other times and the food is amazing. The service was also great. The restaurant is very beautifully decorated.

This is my family's second time visiting this Los Ranchos location, and it was great once again! The service was amazing! The manager, owner, and our servers were super nice and attentive. The food came out fast, even though we were a party of six in total. For an appetizer, we got two orders of the Tostones Nicas, which were very tasty and cheesy. Also, the house salads that come with the entrees are soo good (they bring a pile of cheese!). Everyone ordered a Surf & Turf beside me; I got the Salmon Churrasco. They loved their steak; it was a good portion, and cooked to perfection. They also enjoyed the shrimp that came with it. And as for my salmon, it was very good, cooked perfectly, and very fresh. On top of that, even though the air conditioner was unfortunately broken, the experience was still great! The owner even went out of his way to apologize to us and give us a discount for the next time we come :) Overall an amazing experience and great service!

This Los Ranchos location just recently "soft opened" within the past few days and according to the staff, they'll be having a grand opening sometime next month. I'm also told this restaurant is actually returning to this location just off the large Ponce de Leon roundabout in Coral Gables, as they used to be located in this same building years ago. After closing their location at Bayside Marketplace during the pandemic and their restaurant in Hialeah more recently, Los Ranchos now has 2 remaining restaurants - This new one in the Gables, and the other at The Falls. First impressions of this Coral Gables location are really good. I'd been to their Bayside location many times for both lunch and dinner (and have missed it since it closed) and we'd also gone to their restaurant at The Falls and in my opinion this new eatery beats both those others. It's nicely decorated and a bit fancier, yet not overdone. One can sit at the bar, at a number of tables with chairs or couch seating, or at outdoor tables on the patio in front. Two areas of the main dining space can be sectioned off for larger private events if necessary and they have 1/2 dozen TVs scattered throughout the place. Best of all, the food is exactly as I remembered - flavorful, plentiful yet also affordable. I had the baby churrasco which was an 8 ounce center cut grilled tenderloin, served with a salad, garlic bread, gallo pinto, sweet plantains and plantain chips; A really filling meal for $26. Los Ranchos has a lot of competition in Coral Gables for steak. Just from memory I can think of 1/2 dozen other steak places on or near Miracle Mile, yet I think this restaurant will do well considering both their name recognition and menu prices that few other steakhouses in this area can match - especially considering the quality and everything your meal here comes with (vs some other restaurants where salad and sides aren't included with the steak and need to be ordered separately for an additional price). I wish this newest Los Ranchos well; We'll definitely be back!

Today Saturday 3:30 pm went back to Los Ranchos. We were greeted by the manager and seated immediately in the side section tables I believe are # 60 and 70. I was busy in conversation and did not hear our servers name when she greeted us I believe she said Yvonne. Her service was excellent and food was excellent. Once again we ordered the Austin Hope. However, this time I had to advise the manager that the wine temperature was above normal it was warm. The manager was kind enough to bring an ice bucket. Once the wine temperature dropped it was more pleasantly tasting. I noticed where the wine bottles are stored is more like an enclosed cabinet with lights that creates heat and the cabinet is not temperature controlled. We also go to Los Ranchos in the Falls. The wine there is stored in a temperature control store much better tasting there due to the wine served at an excellent temperature.

Excited to have this classic in Coral Gables now! Though it hasn't been open long, you can't tell based on how great the service and overall experience are. The food is delicious as always - there's nothing more comforting than their baby churrasco with gallo pinto and maduros. The location is nice for a business lunch but also has a nice familial ambiance. Will definitely be a regular at this location.

They had live music that was wonderful. It just added to the ambiance. Our server came over pretty quickly and we ordered drinks. They have a huge drink selection and I think they are well priced despite it being The Biltmore. I got the Heartbreaker martini for $18 and it was so delicious! First entree came out in 10 minutes. 5-10 minutes later the second entree came (it was toasted bagels with their accompaniments on a tower... so like the easiest item ever). After waiting about 50 minutes total our final entree arrived... a breakfast pizza. So I guess don't go here if you intend to eat together? Or want hot food. No communication except at the 30 minute mark of waiting a random person came to tell us that the pizza was working. Our server abandoned us, so we never got a second round while waiting almost an hour for our food. She apparently was too busy taking the second table to walk in. No one apologized for the wait on food. None of what we ordered tasted good. I guess with cold food that's hard to judge though. My avocado toast had a full field of micro greens that covered up any other flavor it might have had. I'm sure the crowd of middle aged dinners appreciated the DJ though. Cuz this is Miami and that's how things are done. Slow, inconsiderate, and loud.

We've come here a few times in recent weeks and the place is running nearly the same as it always has for at least a few decades, through changes in drag hosts, management and even changes to this venue's name over those years. We tend to come just before showtime so there's normally always a cover (worth it for the entertainment patrons get to see), friendly bartenders and a drag show featuring talented performers, with at least one normally interacting with patrons and doing comedy during a break in the performances, before opening up the floor for dancing once the show is complete. Azucar isn't located near much of anything else when it comes to nightlife, it's a bit divey - definitely nothing fancy or glamorous, and it's probably not worth the drive from the beach just to check it out, as at least one other reviewer mentioned. Also, all shows and entertainment, aside from lyrics to a few songs here and there are in Spanish with no English translation, so if you don't speak Spanish or have someone who can interpret at least some of the funniest bits that get the most laughs, you may not fully understand what's happening or may feel a bit left out. That said, if you're just looking for a solid drag show or appreciate Latin nightlife, this is definitely an option.
