First time here. los Venados was recommended as a good authentic tex mex place. The food was OK but nothing special. Service was good. Refried beans obviously from a can and the food came out so quickly it was most likely nuked. The restaurant building is nice and a bit unique. I was craving some fresh salsa, so I made a quick stop here on my way home--and I'm so glad I did! The chips were perfectly crisp, and the salsa was fresh, flavorful, and hit the spot. Have had good meals here in the past but not tonight. Was only person in the restaurant at 5:00 and ordered 3 meals for take out. Waited 20 minutes for food? Wife couldn't eat her rice, didn't taste normal, my chile rennelo was awful (couldn't eat it, bitter/rotten?) and food was overall bland. Threw most of it away. Maybe an early/bad food service, but they're off the list for a good while. read more

Worst service ever! My first visit we waited 20 minutes for a waitress. There were many employees but none would make eye contact. Finally after ordering we waited longer than normal and the food arrived cold. Just this week we gave it another try. We were driving home from a long car trip and called in a to go order. We asked if we could pick it up in 30 minutes. They said they would delay in putting in the order to assure it would be ready for pick up. We arrived and once again I couldn't get anyone to wait on me. Finally I asked and they found a server. She comes over and says "I just realized I forgot to put your order in" I wasn't happy! She lies and said I thought you wanted me to put it in at 8:30. I am done with this place. Their service sucks! read more

Being unfamiliar with this place we didn't know what to expect. Wow, the service was top notch, food was amazing, and the atmosphere fun and very community like. Wanted to give this place a try. Newly remodeled on the corner of SR 44 and 82 in Mantua. Yes, Mantua. Staff is very polite and friendly though one parked so badly as we were coming in. Must be management as she was walking around checking on people . So many chips with salsa!! Salsa has a little kick, not too spicy. We added queso. Ordered quesadilla con pollo - delicious. Perfectly seasoned. Fresh vegetables in the middle with sour cream. Also the enchiladas rojas - you select your meat. Overall, the place is comfortable. Suggestion - put the closed captioning on the TVs. We can't hear them, it helps to know what is going on. Overall really, friendly staff, good food, comfortable. read more

I spent $18.99 on the Worst Mexican Food I have ever had. The Carne Asada was leather, beans were watered down, and rice was mushy. Restaurant is not disability friendly either. I won't be going back! read more

We went here on the 27th of July 2024, sat at the bar for 25 minutes, no one would make eye contact, no drinks while waiting for a table, we went back to the counter just to hear 10 more minutes, 10 more minutes. The woman was rude to my daughter in law in the patio area also, when she asked if she could get a drink she was told NO. We left and went to Sean's Pub (great place to eat) we will never be back, and will not refer anyone here. read more

We arrived (party if 3) and were promptly seated by the hostess. Immediately we got chips and salsa. We waited for a server to take our drink order. After about 10 minutes I flagged down a server and said that we were forgotten. She left and still no response for another 5 or 6 minutes. We finally got the attention of the hostess who dispatched a server to take our drink order. It was obvious that we were not at her table and her attitude wasn't the best. We finally got our drinks and dinners and the food was excellent. It appears that no server had been assigned to our table (table A4). We like the restaurant and will keep coming back when we are at Pymatuning, but the service has to improve or you will lose customers. read more
