Truly authentic Mexican food!!! That being said needs a little help on the traditional on the rocks margaritas! Food was great as well as the service but our margaritas did fall short! Great environment and service was good. The taco, vegetarian burrito and the humongous wet burrito were great!! I couldn't believe how big my husbands wet burrito was!!

Stoppedninbere from the good reviews on YP. This time my fellow YP's were correct! I had the chile verde which came out in a large portion of shredded pork covered in green sauce. Although there was good flavor, the tomatillo sauce was mild. The rice and beans also tased good and were hot. The rice tasted freshly prepared. My horchata was really good, almost to frothy, creamy like a shake. The chips were excellent being served warm and fresh. The salsa was Ok. I was surprised to see no Hispanics and think it may be to the pricing for lunch. I was even check on twice after the food was delivered Overall great stop!

Beautiful combo Mexican grocery / taqueria - food was delicious. Cool atmosphere with tons of local Mexican families and culture. The service is incredibly friendly and attentive. We had such a nice time. Grocery too - we might cook our own burritos, but next week because the burritos we got for lunch were MASSIVE!! :-) Great business. Will be back.

When I walked into this taco place I felt like I was back in Mexico. The selections are very authentic and good. Prices reflect the portion sizes. The service was amazing, very kind and attentive. The seating area isn't anything fancy but allowed for full visual of what was going on behind the counter which was exciting to watch the preparation of multiple fruit, ice cream and beverages.

The queso with chorizo is absolutely delicious and so is the Caesar's Salad. Very flavorful. Great service as well.

It doesn't get more authentic than this! Birria, molcajete, elote, they have it all! The Birria tacos were stuffed so full I could only finish one! My husband got a taco platter kind of do your own and he said it's some of the most flavorful tacos he's ever had. They have a cute little store/market attached!

The red is freaking hot. The salsa is really good.

Nice taqueria. Best I've found in Akron. The salsa roja is pretty hot. Muy caliente. The food is good and I believe could be excellent. I think the execution was lacking on my visit. The chorizo could be crispier. The tripe was excellent. The pastor needs to be seared a bit. Would not travel for this but would stop in if driving by.

    Wet burrito!

Solid Mexican food and good service. Loved the margaritas and queso. Cute little market and bakery next door.

They had both breakfast and lunch offerings, as well as a specials menu. Two in our party ordered the BLT with added avocado from the lunch menu, one of us got the western omelette combo from the specials menu, and I ordered the spinach avocado quesadilla from the breakfast menu. Service was friendly but a little slow, although we were chatting so we didn't mind. The couple that ordered the BLTs were pleased with them and I enjoyed my egg, spinach, and avocado quesadilla. It was HUGE and the sriracha cream dipping sauce that came on the side was especially delicious. The only let down was the western omelette combo...it came with two weirdly tiny omelettes and a small scoop of potatoes and was $21. Meanwhile my giant quesadilla was only $13 - a deal! Our server said she was new and didn't know much about the omelette combo so I am wondering if it was not the right thing. That was a bummer but the rest of the food was on point so we just wouldn't get a combo like that again. All in all a though a pretty good experience overall. Thank you, Breakfast at Tiffani's!

Fred's Diner is a sparkling diamond of a place that so many locals I mentioned it to were still…read moreunaware of. That's mostly due to location. It's less than a 10 minute drive from downtown Akron but it's off the beaten path. All locals (except me) in here. When I went (10AM Friday) the place was almost full, and I was dining alone, so I sat at the counter, happily next to the kitchen. To look at the kitchen was like looking inside a bee hive, bustling with activity but barely a sound. I could just make out what was being calmly stated "2 Silver Dollar, Salmon, Country Fried, 2 Over Easy..." It was fun to watch, but what was important was the output. It took just over 6 minutes from the time I order until it was sitting in front of me, and everything was perfect! The waitresses were so efficient. I saw my order hit the window and in about 12 seconds it was delivered. They were so customer focused, they were (jokingly) fighting over refilling my tea. When I was done and paid for I waited outside for Uber to pick me up (3 min). I looked back on what I'd just experienced, and snapped a picture of the two parking lots of cars for Fred's Diner. I counted and there were 32 cars at Fred's. OK maybe 10 were staff so 22 cars for customers, let's say on average there were 2 customers per car (remember I walked here so no car for me). By my calculation, Fred's was feeding 44 people every 30 minutes or so. No wonder they're only open 4 days a week and only for breakfast - lunch. I calculate they might serve 3200 meals in those 4 days, and then take 3 days off to get ready for the next week. I love this place. Wish I lived here so I could come more often.
