First time trying Los Verdes Restaurant in Weston location. It's a mix of Venezuela meets Colombia and Peru. The restaurant was clean, with many tables and chairs inside and no seating area outside. It has a large menu with so many delicious things that it was very hard for us to choose. So our table decided to get burgers with fries. The service was great. It's been two years since we've been back in Weston and somehow I missed Los Verdes here! We came in famished after a long nail service in the same strip. We decided on burgers, fries, and shakes. They brought out our shakes first but they tasted funky. We thought it was the paper straws but when we removed the tops to taste them, it was the same. I then asked one of the ladies what kind of milk they use--maybe oat, almond, or soy, and she said they use regular whole milk. Hmm...something was definitely off. As far as our BBQ burgers, they were thick, juicy, and yes, scrumptious @RayK! We couldn't even finish them they were so hearty, but definitely recommend them. At checkout, I presented the generous 15% off check-in coupon from our Yelp app and the young girl didn't quite know what to do with it, but another server jumped in and helped. With regard to the ambiance, it seemed just a tad grey--almost somber--but the service was good and the food is what we come for. Disappointing Late-Night Experience at the Weston Los Verdes Hot Dog Place I'm on vacation visiting my best friend who recommended this place stating was amazing... Visited on May 26 we walked in at 1:15 am and my receipt was stamped at 1:24am. Upon arrival, there were five people eating at a booth and a couple at the counter. As soon as my friend and I sat down, the cashier immediately yelled from behind the counter, "only take out." We walked to the counter to place our order and waited for it to be prepared. Once ready, we ate our hot dogs in the car right outside the store. The staff seemed rushed and in an anxious, bad mood, which made for a poor atmosphere and service experience. The store hours listed "open until 2am" on their website, which we had checked before heading over. I'm unsure if this "take out only" policy is standard after a certain time, but it certainly felt rushed and unwelcoming. The hot dog was okay, but nothing exceptional. Given the poor reviews, it's clear others have had similar experiences. I hope the other locations offer better and friendlier service than the Weston store. All the tables had the chairs up and we were not allowed to walk on the right side of the store. Cashier welcomed us with yelling "don't step there" lol And their Facebook reviews seems like they are erasing the negative ones lol, and also is not letting me add a picture to my review of my receipt as proof of purchase not certain why. read more

I came here after a long day of work with my girlfriend. We were seated right away and we made our orders within 10 minutes of seating. Service was quick and the staff was super friendly. For starters we got the empanadas, which were delicious. And I decided to try the Monday special which was 2 for 1 hotdogs. These hotdogs were very large and full of a bunch of flavorful ingredients. I ordered the Pollo Quesedilla and it was okay. Nothing really crazy to write home about, but also nothing really bad about it either. It was right down the middle average. If & when I come back I believe I'll have my hand at the Quesedilla with chicken, shrimp and steak and see how that is. So I'm a huge fan of Colombian "street" food and their hot dogs in particular. Always nice to enjoy a nice solid colombian style dog but sadly Los Verdes did not deliver today. Ordered a regular dog that comes with all the works of a regular colombian dog- we're talking pink sauce, cheese, pineapple, crushed chips and/or potato sticks, etc... first thing I notice is how small the actual dog really was...it was tiny. Smallest weiner ever! Second thing I noticed was a missing condiment...the pineapple! One of my favorite condiments in the hotdog concoction world. This was not so much a problem because I resorted to using the pineapple sauce brought to the table. Third notice of the day was the bread. My first bite consisted of bread, chips and pink sauce...second bite was bread, chips and a little bit of weiner but the bread in the middle section of the dog was hard like a rock. This made me assume that it was stale and old or maybe reheated a few times. In either case, I ate my tiny dog alone with no bread and just dipped it in the sauce. This of course meant no experience because the cheese the pineapple the chips....its all supposed to explode in my mouth like a party, but none of the above today. I first learned about this restaurant from the Yelp 3rd Burstday party. They bad a booth and were serving hot dogs and quesadillas. I was too stuffed to try the hot dog but the quesadilla was amazing. I ventured out to this location after volunteering at an event nearby. Upon entering the establishment, it was large and clean. We sat down at one of the booths and orderd our drinks. I ordered the perro hot dog and chorizo corn cake. The perro hot dog alone deserves 5 stars. My mind is blown on how good that hot dog tasted. It was wrapped with cheese and loaded with crushed potato chips. The sauces they had on the table were delicious; I loaded it on all of my dishes. The corn cake chorizo was ok; the corn cake was kind of dry and the chorizo was bland. My husband ordered two of the chicken corn cakes and I had a bite, it was great and juicy. I am not sure what the sauces were but there were four of them. I am assuming the light yellow sauce is their famous pineapple sauce. They had a light green (avocado?), white (garlic?), and light pink one which tasted like a thousand island dressing. I plan to come back often and try everything on the menu. Third visit for some late night take out and best visit by far! We called a head and ordered as we were leaving the house, I ordered the quesadilla mix (your choice of two meats steak, chicken, and/or bacon) I ordered the chicken and bacon. My husband ordered the Famous Verdolaga burger, and it did not disappoint! My quesadilla melted in my mouth, like finger licking greatness, I love the sauces they use but I like to dip mine in their green sauce and the picante sauce for a little extra kick. My husbands burger was so filling, I took one bite and wow, the grilled chicken was juicy and grilled to perfection. The ham was thinly sliced and added good flavor, the crunch chips add great texture to the bite, and the burger patty was smokey and delicious! It came with fries on the side and they were also very good, had a nice crunch. We usually like to order the arepa con chocolo on the side but had no room left in our bellies tonight. Love the food but their restaurant chains are hidden away that you really have to know they are there. I first heard about them through a yelp event. The food is delicious and love that they crush chips on a majority of their items. Also add the sauce and it an awesome combination. I recommend the quesadilla, arepas, the mini hotdogs are great as an appetizer. They have happy hour where you can get 2 for 1 with a margarita or pina colada. The desserts were ok. There is not much of a variety. One option was the flan a classic dessert and then there was the pineapple dessert. We were told it was a flan but it ended up being a version of a pineapple upside down cake that looked like a donut. It was not as moist as it should have been. In regards to the place and service, the place was kept very neat and TVs all around making it not a bad place to watch a soccer game. The service was a little confusing because they were training a new individual. At one location you order at the counter but at this one they came to your table. The staff was very friendly and the managers seemed very involved. It did take a long time to get food which was different as at other locations you were in and out. It took 45 mins to get a single quesadilla and two orders of salchipapa (what is just cut up hot dogs and fries). It was not busy. There three parties with food already and one other party that came in at the same time as us. When they brought out the salchipapa they brought out the wrong kind (small potato balls instead of the fries). They tried to charge us for both the wrong orders and the food we actually ordered. When we explained what was going on to the manager, they initially fought back and did not want to remove the charges for the wrong order. Then the manager had the nerve to berate us for not taking the wrong order back to them? Isn't it the servers job to bring food back to the kitchen? And why would it matter? The food needs to go in the trash either way once it's served to a customer. It was an absolutely frustrating experience. There are plenty of better Latin American restaurants in Weston with better food and better service. If you want Los Verdes, there is a great one by university dr and Sunrise Blvd. I'd rather drive 25 mins there than ever go back to this location. read more

DISGUSTING. Hadn't been to this location after our last horrible experience pre-COVID19. Never did we think we'd be the only customers in the restaurant and couldn't get serviced. Finally got our dry 1/4 portion of what used to be maicitos with the leftover chicken and steak from days ago, or maybe it was cardboard, we couldn't tell. The sauces we had to go get ourselves from the kitchen were also frozen, so that couldn't cover up the horrible dish we had been served only to be followed by an old cold and hard quesadilla stuffed with more cardboard and what looked like chicken from weeks ago. I found this place while looking for some late night food on my regular commute, and stumbled on this place. After reading about some of their unique tweaks on hot dogs I figured I'd give it a shot. The portions are pretty good, you won't leave hungry unless you try to. We ordered, tried, and have plenty of leftovers of: Perro Hot Dog. The "arepa" thing included wasn't for my tasting either. I couldn't tell if it was made out of rice or corn, but I didn't like it overall.
