Our first time visiting a Peruvian restaurant and what a wonderful experience. A warm and inviting place with outstanding service. Our server was very patient with all our questions about the menu and was extremely helpful. But the true star of the show was the food. We had an order of grilled fish with shrimp sauce and a order of shrimp fried rice. Wow! The flavors just burst forth with every bite. Both were simply delicious. La Perla is a must if you're visiting Weston. We stumbled across this place after a soccer tournament and were very impressed. The location is in a shopping plaza but you're transported when you walk through the doors. The fish ceviche is one of the best that we've had. The churrasco was delicious as well. Came here for take out flan. Delicious doesn't cover it. It's so fabulous. You get a heaping slice. It's definitely too much for you if you're stomachless. But that's ok. This was hands down the best Peruvian food I've ever had, and our favorite restaurant in our recent trip to the south. Get the Tallarin Verde con Churrasco. This was AMAZING and hands down the best pasta. The lomo saltado, ceviche, shrimp with house sauce, and everything else we ordered were freaking delicious! Hollyshit!! I found my Peruvian restaurant hidden in Weston Florida. My lord I'll star with the cheesecake with maracuyá (passion fruit) never knew it existed but dear lord it was amazing. Next the CHAUFA rice mix steak, shrimp and chicken to die for the portions are hardy so share lol. Now the Ceviche was HELL YESSSS. I very much enjoyed this restaurant as someone who has not had the opportunity to enjoy Peruvian food. It was very delicious and unique compared to the menu items I am used to. Everything was cooked fairly well and seasoned appropriately. Drinks: I had the white sangria which was definitely refreshing, but it was quite sweet. I enjoyed this as someone who does not find myself drinking sangria. One glass was enough to satisfy a sweet craving and i could even drink this with or as dessert. Food: for my entrée I ordered the seafood Saltado and a side of maduros. The saltado was great and featured shrimp, fish and squid. The sauce was particularly interesting to me because it bolstered the seafood flavor in a way that was not too "fishy". The sauce was also not very salty which other restaurants may rely on to drown their dishes. Here they know other flavors make just as big of an impact. The variety of aromatics combined with juicy tomatoes made the meal even better. I couldn't stop eating the noddles even after I was full. The maduros were also sweet and crispy on the edges. Boss lady brought us here for a quick lunch, service could've been better since we were the only people in the restaurant bit the food was AMAZING. The stack appetizer was delicious. Two of has the carne asada plate one had the quinoa and I had the shrimp risotto. The steak was absolutely delicious both the appetizer and the entree. The risotto wasn't as creamy as I like it but everyone else loved it, maybe because I'm not a huge fan of seafood. The quinoa was also delicious. This place is a great hidden gem! It's tucked away in the commerce parkway area of weston, in a mini plaza. The food here was pleasantly delicious, with everything having a good flavor and value IMO. The jalea mixta is phenomenal, and if you order delivery they poke holes in the lid so it stays crispy. Major key. You can't go wrong with the ceviche here, or any of the saltados. I had the lomo saltado and thoroughly enjoyed it. But my favorite is the tallarin saltado, this dish is basically a peruvian lo mein, and it is enough for two so I recommend sharing this. Another great item and one of my favorites is the Acevichado roll. This roll is so great!! Trust me. They have a great fried rice you need to try as well. As for desserts the suspiro is all I have tried and really loved it. You can't go wrong coming here or ordering delivery. This is one of the best spots in Weston. read more

To be quite honest, this was my favorite dining experience in the last several years. I came with a pretty large party and we ordered all types of ceviche, seafood platters, and of course, my favorite, Lomo Saltado. Looking back at the pictures (and maybe because it's a bit dark) the food didn't look like much. But everything we ate was extremely delicious! We had some great drinks and an awesome meal. Yes. Just yes. If you're Peruvian (I am) you know a good Peruvian place when you find this place. We always come to get our anticuchos here!! Yum! The huancaina is great: the Jalea even better... love their lomo saltado and the tallarines verdes or Seco: oh yes. My only regret is they do not have tamales or pan con chicharrón... oh well- yes they do have great ceviches too- but try some of the other stuff: oh yes you won't be disappointed. I did a quick for nearby restaurant that sold ceviche since I was in the mood for it and I found this place. I ordered and came to pick up my food - I fell in. Love with the decor so decided to eat in. The establishment is beautiful and looks very well-kept and clean. The ceviche has a lot of sauce (that lacked in the lime & cilantro flavor) and the fish itself was tasteless. The onions were barely curated. What an excellent surprise for lunch! A casual yet classy sit down restaurant with plenty of take out going on. I am picky about my Peruvian food and this place hit all the marks. The normal dinner menu seems a bit pricy, but the lunch menu is a steal! My fish with salad and yuca was $10. The food is very fresh and you can tell its made to order. The Lomo Saltado here was very good. However, whoever prepared my food was careless. I'm allergic to seafood and the food preparer cross contaminated my dish. Luckily, I'm only mildly allergic but this would've been a disaster if I needed an Epi-Pen. read more

Decent food, mediocre serve. It became very obvious the server wasn't up to the job tonight. Let's start with the room temperature water, apparently there's no ice, not even for the natural juices we ordered. Next, my husband ordered a grilled fish and received a fried fish(we didn't complain). After that he asked for a sauce to add to dry white rice, she made it a point to add an additional charge. Ok no problem...Lastly, I am 100% fine with upcharging for sides but when I asked for a scoop of ice cream for my 2 year old that had behaved so well she said, "No, I'd have to buy a whole dessert." You can charge me $3 for a side of sauce but you can't charge me for a scoop of ice cream? Wait, did I mention there were only 2 highchairs in the restaurant and they were both occupied? Discrimination at La Perla on Commerce Pkwy. We were there today for lunch and we ordered from the lunch menu which they don't show, you have to ask. Since we didn't order drinks just water, they treated us differently unlike the others that were ordering alcoholic beverages. My husband was trying to call the waitress attention( older lady with black hair) and she ignored him several times. I had to call her to finally get her come to our table. This restaurant is in the same location another Peruvian restaurant used to be (Mochika Peru).This location is nothing like the other location in Weston. Both the service and food are mediocre. Definitely overpriced. Also, The location is very small and they had a Latin singer which was way too loud. Couldn't even carry a conversation with the person next to me. We order 2 different Lomo salteado, lots of onions, but "where's the beef?!". We mentioned it to the waitress and she didn't say a word.
