Then I found out about Garage2u. Garage2u is a mobile mechanic. They come to your house (or wherever your car is) and fix it right there. They have all the tools that they need. In my case he worked on my car in the driveway. It couldn't have been easier. And it couldn't have been more cost effective. Way less than half of what the garage wanted. And it passed inspection! Oh and get this. Dan (the mechanic) called me two days later to follow up and make sure that everything was ok with the car. Show me another mechanic that does that! To make matters worse, the rental car I was using has now been recalled, leaving me completely without transportation. Neither the dealership nor Mazda has provided a timely solution or loaner, and I feel stranded despite being a loyal Mazda customer. A repair delay can sometimes be understandable, but what is unacceptable is the lack of transparency, accountability, and customer support throughout this process. On July 8 during the inspection with subsequent removing and applying the inspection stickers the mechanic cut my dash with razor knife. Gash to my leather dash. Austin in the service department advised me they would repair it but would have to get back to me as the "body guy" worked different hours. Austin said the guy was "very good" and it would take three hours or more do they get back to me to schedule. No one ever got back to me so I called the 1800 service number listed in August and had it scheduled for 8-18. The evening of the 17th at about 5 pm Austin called and said he was busy and that's why he hadn't called and then told me the"body guy" wasn't available until the 20th. Arrived at 9 am as scheduled and given a rental car to use and the car was done about 1:30. Found out that the body guy wasn't as great as Austin said. I thought it would be blended to match the grainy look of the leather but was not. It's a visible scar on the dash very visible especially while driving. Upsetting as I take car if my vehicles only to be dismissed like it was no big deal . Buyers beware!! Service not always what you think. I'm aware accidents happen but should've been repaired much better. Aldo it's funny I never got a survey from this visit . No surprise ! Being a busy business, my car was moved further back in the locked area and was making friends with a lot of other totaled vehicles. Thankfully, an employee offered to assist me in emptying out my car. My driver's door barely opened. The driver side rear door was too close to next vehicle to open. The passenger side was up against a fence. I don't know how the burly man squeezed between the vehicles, opened the trunk, & passed everything to me. Very thankful for their quick response to the scene and keeping my belongings safe.
