Pepboys told me to contact the dealership. I almost screamed...for a 99' vehicle? I hesitated greatly, then I called the dealership. Knowing they would give me an astronomical amount...I waited until they found the part. Well - they discontinued making the part - and the dealership advised me to reach out to a junkyard. Let me back up a second. My mom told me while I was working on my vehicle that I should contact the junkyard prior to my calling around. Why in the world didn't I listen to her in the first place? It could have saved me soooo much time. So I did a google search and found Battaglia Auto Recycling. Called and they said they had my part. Drove down there - and here's my only issue - I had the hardest time locating this place. It's near the West End Circle - by the McKees Rock exit close to the river. I said I had called earlier and they indicated that they needed to get the part off the vehicle. I wasn't in a rush - so everything was fine. This business is very busy...which I noticed because the phones kept ringing (and they were answering them). I asked one of the workers how long they've been in business, and he told me for over 35 years. This is the third generation in charge of the company now. Once they were able to get my part, they provided it to me. I installed it right on the spot - and it worked! You could see me cheesin' for days...lol. I would definitely use them again - very pleasant bunch of guys that are there. And you can tell this is a family business - and I love supporting small business.

I can't find the model I'm looking for and I'm not sure why. I enjoy driving by and looking at their cool jukebox car building, but I would need a better reason to buy there. I've also heard stories, so make sure you get a mechanic to fully look at any car here before you buy.

The gentleman I spoke with was great and genuinely helpful. The woman I spoke with felt more dismissive, which took away from the experience. When I arrived for my pickup appointment, the rep helping me was friendly and handled everything smoothly. He even gave me recommendations for local mechanics to complete my PA state inspection. I had seen reviews saying some vehicles did not pass inspection, so I took mine in right away. It passed without any issues. My appointment was at 9 AM. By 9:30 there were three other clients waiting and only one rep working. It felt like a scheduling or staffing issue, but even with that I was only there for about an hour to an hour and a half. The truck itself was in good shape and matched the listing. The interior was the real disappointment. It was not detailed at all and placing two paper mats in the front row does not count. There was dirt on the dash and in the cupholders. Almost every hard surface has a white residue on it. Having worked in the automotive industry for six years, I would never let a client drive home in a vehicle that looked like that. I will either have to pay to have it detailed or do it myself, which should not be the case Carvana. The process was convenient and the truck was as described, but the lack of interior detailing and some service inconsistencies kept this from being a higher rated experience.

The day after I got my car from this lot, the air conditioning stopped working (it was the evaporator that was bad and he was aware of it). The lot paid for the part, which was a little over $100, but the process of replacing the part is very labor intensive and expensive and we could not afford it. Fast forward a month or so later, the car would not start. Almost $2,000 later, the car is still not running correctly and won't make it out of the driveway. We found a mechanic recommended by Tommy who has been nothing but helpful, but he agreed that the best course of action is to get rid of the Lexus. We were in a very bad situation and Tommy took advantage of that. We were pretty desperate for a car after my BMW (which we traded in here for the Lexus) stopped being reliable. He ripped us off on the trade and will continue to do that to others! Do not do business with these people. You will get screwed over.

The owner, Bob, wanted nothing to do with us. He pawned us off to a mechanic who said there was a litany of problems with the car. We took it back to Bob and he agreed to have them fixed. We thought he did until a month later (we rarely drove the car), when there were more problems. Guess what? At that point it was past the 30 day warranty bumper to bumper. Bob YELLED at my fiance and threw, yes threw, a paper at her saying its our responsibility now. The paper had a list of three mechanics to talk to. They never returned our calls and never offered to fix what THEY did wrong. A month later, we started getting water in the front well. Yes WATER! We, at our own expense, took it to one of the places he mentioned. They said they fixed it but water was now coming in the back. We couldn't drive the car for 2 months over the winter but when spring came, we decided to take it to a mechanic locally. There were several inches of water UNDER the back seat. The water had burned out an electronic controller. They said there were other problems INCLUDING tires that were worn to the threads. What the hell kind of place sells such horrible KNOWN to be bad vehicles to unsuspecting customers? Used Car World and Bob Fallon. When we took it to a VW dealer, there was too many repairs to name. It would cost more than what I owed on the car (still $6k). We traded the POS in and got a very reputable car from Day Apollo - a MUCH better experience. If you want terrible service AFTER the high pressure sale, go to Bob and his horrible business. If you wanted to be treated fairly, go anywhere else.
