Got a voucher for a free pizza and ordered a large supreme pizza to go. Normally, I'm skeptical of artisan pizzas but this pizza was really good! Better than a pizzeria. nice draft house in Providence town center. We ordered pizza takeout: one BBQ and one wild mushroom. Even at the small size, both are pretty big. The wild mushroom one seems to just have regular mushrooms, I like the taste, but it's pretty oily. When I get back home, the oil has spilled through the box. The worst service I have ever experienced. After recommending an appetizer she never put it in and our drinks. We had to reminder her of our drinks and realized she had no idea she already waited on us. Watched a couple come sit at the bar and get up and leave because no one came to them...at the Bar! There was only one employee working. He was bartending and waitering and working really hard but it took awhile to get our drinks. I was told by others that having one employee working happens a lot. Pizza was really good. I just wish they would have more employees working to.make it a better experience. I will call next time I want to come to see if they have more help. read more

One of our favorite places. We've tried 5 different pizzas at this point and they're all really good, pepperoni and hot honey is currently the front runner. The mushroom pizza pretty delicious; just a tad too much truffle sauce. If you like a rich pizza you'll like that one! The meatball was really good in my opinion. The chicken, spinach and mushroom pizza (a custom) is amazing! Great amount of sauce, the pizza is crispy but not over done or greasy, the cheese is plentiful but not overpowering, equally proportioned toppings and the crust has some cheese sprinkled on top. The service was great as well. I've only ordered takeout, but the staff is friendly, accommodating and hasn't messed up my order (I've ordered twice). They get your pizza ready in about 15 minutes and are attentive to additional requests. The ambience of Ember + Ale is cozy but modern. There are multiple tvs set up in the rear part of the bar and a cluster when you first walk in towards the left. I'm not a big beer drinker but they seem to have a pretty extensive selection. Patrons can sit at tables or the bar. My only gripe is that the prices are a bit on the high end. Around $30 for just one large pizza. With quick research the average price of a large pizza with 3 toppings is around $18. read more

Do not order the cheesesteak sandwich. It was plain meat served on a small roll with a slice of american cheese melted on top. After you bite the cheese area, the rest of the sandwich is just meat, not even onions. read more

I had the pleasure of including in the White Cheesy pizza last week at the Collegeville location. I had a hankering for pizza one night, so I drove to Ember and Ale to give it a try as I love trying new restaurants. I'm happy I visited. The pizza was well done, just like I like it, with a troth of cheese blends that satisfied my palate bite after bite. I love when cheese is somewhat hardened on pizza, so the bite is toothsome, meatier and savory. THEN there was the crust, my favorite part. It was dense, chewy and with a hint of garlic and Parmesan cheese I believe. Whatever the type of cheese, it was so, so, good. My only wish is that I could eat the entire pizza and that I dined in instead of getting take out so I could try one of the yummy looking cocktails the bartender was making. But trust me, I'll get that experience soon. I'm going to call my girlfriends to invite them to our annual girls night out for pizza and wine. I think I found the perfect new place! read more

This is the second time we have gotten to the restaurant at 8:40pm and were told they were closed. The website and Yelp says the hours are until 10:00 pm. Ember + Ale elevates the pizza experience but still keeps it casual and fun. For appetizers, we indulged in the Cheesy Pesto Loaf (don't miss this!) with the delicious marina sauce to dip, and the Whipped Ricotta which provided an elegant and lightly sweet snack before the main course. We chose to get a variety of the smaller pizzas so we could try a few out. It was an abundance of food and great for leftovers! We had Margarita (the balance of sauce and ingredients was delicious), Supreme (nice fresh cut toppings on a thin crispy crust), and The White Cheesy (maybe my favorite with the perfect blend of cheeses that hold their own among the mix and offer a satisfying bite). To finish off, we tried the Cannoli which was a delicious ricotta and crispy wafer with chocolate chips, but I think my favorite (another can't miss and make sure to save room for...) the Crème Brûlée Cheesecake. Our family is a big crème brûlée fan and this may be the best combo of these two with the creamy chilled cheesecake and the perfect brûlée flavor, even a firm top that perfectly resembles a brûlée. The staff were friendly and attentive, eager to present the best. The food came out camera ready, proving what you see on the pictures is truly what you'll have in front of you when you dine. I'm giving this place two stars because we immensely enjoyed their buffalo chicken dip, however we were extremely disappointed that the ingredients listed online were incorrect. We ordered their Carbonara pizza which states that it has spinach, chicken, mushrooms, tomatoes, and cheese. Upon receiving the pizza first thing we noticed is no spinach. Upon taking a bite of it realized actually contains bacon and we do not eat PORK! I was very careful when I ordered to make sure there's no pork products in this pizza and I checked their online menu and delivery service menu. I ended up calling the store and spoke with a manager who told me that the in-store menu says it contains bacon. I did tell her to check her online menu because they're incorrect. She did offer to redeliver another pizza without the bacon or to give us store credit. We opted for the store credit and figured we would give them another chance. Nice new spot in upper providence town center . We ordered a couple of beers , could have been colder , the brisket cheese steak (lacked flavor ) and a plain pizza. Pizza was definitely the star of the show. Service could use some work , they forgot to bring our 2nd round of drinks and a little on the slow side . We have been here several times since they opened. The food is great adn portions are a nice size. I have had the cauliflower crust pizza, salads, the meatballs (I get them as my entree with a side salad), buffalo chicken (smoked flavor), spinach artichoke dip, shortrib cheesesteak sandwich and our favorite appetizer is the sausage bites. I have never had sausage that melts in your mouth like these do! The staff is friendly and the service is always great. It is not a real big place, ceilings are high, so it is not an intimate dining experience if you are looking for that.
