Pictures make the place look bigger. Water park is average at best. Wave pool is a joke.

I can honestly say that I didn't expect to have as much fun as I did. What a pleasant surprise it…read morewas! I didn't look up too much info beforehand because I didn't want to be spoiled. The website explained that it was a tablet directed quest game and would take about an hour. However, that's out of date. The time allotted for a single game was two hours. Be warned when setting the parking meter! Basically there are four "realms" that each offer quests. When you see a tablet, you can choose to interact with it and accept or deny a quest. You can accept the quest via your group's tablet by selecting the appropriate symbol. Then the wild goose chase begins. Clues send you all over the place to talk to characters and collect the virtual items. Up stairs, through secret passages, tunnels and more. Rarely did we encounter teams that were following the same quest at the same time we were so that was great. As crowded as it got in certain areas, we were all kind of doing our own thing. I believe there were around 16 quests that could be completed, all with varying levels of difficulty and length of time to complete. We made it through 4, and part way through another in our two hours. I was amazed by the level of detail that went into the planning and decoy of this game and all the rooms. It was more interactive than I had anticipated and also tiring! But what a fun afternoon. I'd love to go into more detail but I don't want to spoil anything. The price was fair for the experience and I highly recommend coming here. I am definitely planning another road trip back!

Not for the faint of heart…read more I have mixed feelings. We went around 11am on a rainy day during spring break. There was a line. It wasn't super long, but it was slow moving because they give each family their tablet and explain how things work. Waiting in a slow line is really hard for kids when they are super excited. I wish the people at the desk just sold tickets and that they had someone in the starting room explain the tablets to a group at a time to speed things up. Some people behind us in line bought tickets in advance online and were annoyed that they had to stand in the same ticket line as everyone else. Buying tickets online does not expedite things at all. There was no line when we left, so maybe late afternoon is a better arrival time. Overall, the design of the questing area is very cool. There is a lot to explore, and there are lots of fun details and secret passageways to explore. My kids are age 7 and 9 and really enjoyed it overall. As a parent, 2 hours was way too long for younger kids. It would have been perfect for teens and adults, but it is way too long for younger kids. We're pretty fit, and we were exhausted by the end because there is a lot of walking and going up and down the stairs. We were also carrying our kids coats and umbrellas as we didn't see the lockers until the end. Tip; Ditch any gear before questing. There are very few places to sit and take a break along the way. This would be a very poor choice attraction for anyone with mobility issues or anyone who can't handle a lot of walking. I wouldn't bring grandparents along on this adventure. We ended up taking a break in the snack area, and they paused our quest, so taking a break wouldn't count towards the 2 hours. I wish we didn't pause the quest because we ended up deciding we were done after 90 minutes of questing time, but 2 hours of being there, and our kids did not want to leave time on the clock. As a parent, this was a lot. My kids were SO excited to find things and explore, but I felt a bit stressed because there are lots of passageways and secret doors, and any time another family exposed some secret entrance, they immediately wanted to run through it. I had to be on high alert to avoid losing them to their impulses to go through any secret passages they stumbled upon. I read everything on their website, some online reviews, and watched videos about Wizard Quest, but I wish I had more info going into this about what to expect. We finished 3 quests. We would have to come back multiple times to complete everything. That would have been nice to know going into it to manage kid expectations. People in larger bodies might have a hard time navigating certain areas because some passages are quite narrow. There are 3 levels. We never made it to the fire area in the basement, and I feel like most of our time was in the earth area. Tip:choose quests that start in different realms to explore different areas. There was a lot of walking back and forth, going back to places we already explored. I wish there was an option to tap for a hint in the app instead of asking the staff. We went inside the tree so many times. When my kids had trouble finding what they needed to complete the task, we had to circle around, come down, and loop around to ask for a hint and then go back up again (and again and again). The staff is helpful, but having to go in circles to get a hint was frustrating for younger kids. They wanted to finish the task and move on to explore new areas. I also wish there was a back feature in the app. When little kids tap through quest details quickly, They miss important information. Both kids had a blast and said it was 4 stars and want to go back. I had fun, but I also feel like I would wait several years before considering a return trip.

We came to Wisconsin on 7/3/26 to celebrate our wedding anniversary. One of the things we got…read moretickets for was the Take Flight experience. We couldn't decide out of the two experience which one to do so we did a double feature. We come into the building on the 4th of July and there is an information desk because the place is loaded with other things to do at the resort. We get to the Take Flight and wait in line until it's time for us to go in. It was a bit of a wait because a group before us had just gone in. We did the Space Flight first. WOW is all I can say! I don't want to give it away but I would recommend the experience. It's full of surprises. We really enjoyed Space Flight. Then we unfortunately had to stand in line again for Wonders of the American West. That wait was even longer. We enjoyed that experience too. We got our pictures taken by a photographer for both experiences and we took advantage of their picture offerings after we were done to remember the experience. The one thing that needs improvement is that you have to be weighed before getting access to the line (which is fine). You have to be less than 325 pounds. There is a red light/green bright circular light on a tall pole right above the scale for everyone to see. It's embarrassing if you step on and it turns red for no entry. That should be moved so only the attendant can see. No one should have anxiety about people seeing if you get a green light or red light. Next we were hungry so we stopped at the Camp Social Burger Bar. Many were hanging out at the bar and the food looked pretty good so we decided to get the Burger BBQ which is an angus beef patty with cheese, bacon and onion strings with bbq sauce. It came with homemade potato chips. Hubby got a pina colada mocktail and they decorated it so pretty with the 4th of July colors and decorations. I must say the burger, chips and the drink were divine. We sat in the seating they have and just chilled which was nice. They have so many other eating places and a candy shop. We really enjoyed our experience there and highly recommend. Thank you Wilderness at the Resort. A+ in our books!

Walking in the skyway is hard nice with the arrows but walking outside especially with the periodic carts is much easier. There are plenty of indoor and outdoor parks, and each have their own unique slides - I preferred the slides with the companion tubes. These ones were just strict about water shoes and sunglasses being worn. There are plenty of bathrooms and showers, but towels are a luxury. I had so much fun in the water but also enjoyed all the extra attractions like the arcade, outdoor go-kart, and shops.

We stayed in a single king room and were pleasantly surprised with how much space we had, it didn't feel cramped even with all the toddler gear. Both the hotel and the waterpark were consistently clean throughout our stay. For a high traffic family resort this was impressive and much appreciated. The wave pool and dedicated toddler area were a huge hit. Our little dude had a blast and it was great to have a safe, age appropriate space for him to explore. The lodge is due for some updates, specifically the waterpark equipment - the water jet skis in the toddler area were all broken and material was visibly chipping. While my toddler didn't notice the cosmetic wear, as a parent it is a little worrisome. I'd say visiting in the winter was the perfect way to beat the cold, though it did limit us to indoor sections. We're definitely curious to return when it's warmer to see how the outdoor area fairs. Overall a great choice for families with toddlers, but hopefully, management will invest in some much needed repairs to the play features soon!

I complained to the front desk. They said they cannot do anything about the deluxe room, but they moved me to another standard room, which was ok, but not what I paid for. The whole experience was extremely inconvenient and took over an hour of my vacation time. I typically don't post bad reviews like this unless the place is really bad. I communicated with their management to try to work this out. They basically told me to go pound sand and to deal with Expedia. Expedia told me it's Great Wolf Lodge problem not their problem. With so many other nice water parks in the area, why would I come back to this sh*thole?

We were in search of a place where we could rent the entire property for our wedding and wanted a place where we could offer all of the ages of the family something to do at any given moment. This place delivered!! My best friend and I called this place on a roadtrip because we found it on google and thought it was worth a shot and Chris the owner answered and was so kind and thoughtful that we detoured and stopped to meet him there in the middle of winter. We chose this place because of him and the fabulous, well kept property. We talked with Chris and his wife several times prior to our August wedding and they were patient with our planning process and able to accommodate all of our requests. We cannot thank them enough for the use of the clubhouse and pool! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and exceptional service that made our stay truly unforgettable.  Chris and his wife Angie, the staff and property were more than we could have dreamed up! The property itself is absolutely stunning, nestled in a picturesque setting that offers breathtaking views and a serene atmosphere of the Wisconsin River. It was the perfect site for our wedding and family gathering, providing a beautiful backdrop for our special day and ample space for all our guests to relax and enjoy.  The owners went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was taken care of, making the entire experience seamless and stress-free. Their dedication to excellence and genuine care for their guests truly set Cedar Lake Lodge and Settlement apart.  Whether you're planning a wedding, a family reunion, or just a peaceful getaway, I highly recommend Cedar Lake Lodge and Settlement. It is a hidden gem in Wisconsin Dells that offers unparalleled beauty, comfort, and hospitality. Wealth of knowledge, courteous, and professional. The rooms are very spacious. They need to be updated, but we still had everything we needed, including microwave and refrigerator. The room itself was large, which was nice, but the broken toilet seat was hard to overlook, that's something housekeeping should have caught and fixed before anyone checked in. They did offer to fix it or change our room promptly. The outdoor Waterpark felt very unregulated. The drop slide didn't have a bar to hold onto like every other slide of this type, and kids were allowed to stand right where riders came off the slides, which didn't feel safe. The outdoor bar in the sand wasn't open on a Thursday or Friday, which was disappointing. The arcade closes at 9, and after that there's basically nothing left for kids to do. The gym was AWFUL. It's three hotel rooms with a ripped out sink and dim lighting. The weight rack is an embarrassment. They had one set of 10lb dumbbells. The next lowest weight was 30lbs and it topped out at 50lbs. The zip-lining on the property is offered at $25 if you purchase it prior to check in. It costs $70 if you book afterwards. It felt like we were in another country - we had one guide for the 4 of us. She let my husband go on his own, my 11 year old followed. Then she zip-lined over leaving my daughter and myself to hopefully set ourselves up properly. There were times she was already ahead of me and not there to receive my daughter or myself when we zip lined across. Really increased my anxiety as a parent. Overall, it's a low‑budget version of a Great Wolf Lodge but they allow you to bring your pets with you.
