Avoid Chula Vista Resort -- outdated, poorly maintained, and managed with zero accountability We recently stayed at Chula Vista Resort and left thoroughly disappointed. What should have been a straightforward getaway turned into a checklist of basic failures that management simply dismissed. The infrastructure issues were immediate. The elevator's down button was broken and covered with blue painter's tape -- a clear accessibility problem and potential ADA violation that left guests guessing or forced to take the stairs. Multiple interior doors showed serious delamination, with the wood veneer peeling and separating in long strips. Beds were so worn you could feel the springs through the mattress. Furniture and carpeting throughout felt dated and tired. Outside was no better. Trash bins overflowed and litter was scattered on the ground around them. The cabana roof over the wave pool area looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years -- covered in what appeared to be long-term mold and grime that any HOA would have fined a homeowner for. The overall grounds felt neglected. During our stay a cheerleading event was underway. Mascots walked into the dining area, one of them took a purse and poured mustard into someone's coffee without the person's knowledge. Staff did nothing to stop or address it. When we raised these problems with management, they were dismissive, minimized every concern, and offered no meaningful response. Rude or indifferent employees only compounded the sense that no one was actually in charge of basic standards. Between the broken elevator, delaminating doors, springy beds, overflowing trash, neglected roofs, and chaotic event behavior that staff ignored, this property feels like it has given up on maintenance and guest experience. We will not return and cannot recommend it.

We stayed at Chula Vista for 2 nights and had a very good experience. From the moment we checked in, the staff at the front desk was terrific. Wealth of knowledge, courteous, and professional. The rooms are very spacious. They need to be updated, but we still had everything we needed, including microwave and refrigerator. There is a huge store by the front desk with a coffee shop. The resort was decorated nicely for the season, and the service at the huge main bar was exceptional. Drinks were great. There were lots of people ordering food at the bar, which looked awesome, especially the pizza. We walked through the water park area just to see it, but we didn't swim. It wasn't super busy, but they definitely packed alot of attractions in a small area. We had arcade credits and spent a few hours on the arcade which was really fun! The property is huge and beautiful. I would return!

minutes ago on Google Paid for the all inclusive package 4th of July weekend 2025 and it has been full of disappointment. The staff is rude and are trying to give their friends free food and drinks rather than honor the all inclusive wrist bands. In line for a drink, the attendant kept trying to take the order of the people behind me and then told them they should've ordered from her she would've gave it to them for free. Then proceeded to charge us even though we had all inclusive wristbands and then brought us the wrong drinks. Don't come here . I took video and photos of everything

Outdated, Uncomfortable, Dirty. Bed looked like this when we checked in.

Old, shabby "resort". Booked an "executive king suite w/ a river view" and got a rock-hard bed with a couch. Smells funky, too. Rude, unwelcoming staff. Just awful!

The room was clean, beds where made, the floors honestly looked freshly swept or mopped. The a/c worked great and no smell to the room! Room service needs to be called in order for them to come to you, but I called around 2:30pm for new towels and they brought them not even 10 mins later! The showers are a good size and the bathrooms were clean! My lack of stars is actually for the pool area + arcade. I hate the time limits on things like the hot tub and warming pools. As well as not enough tubes for the lazy river/ rides! The arcade is also more for younger kids but no issue there other than the workers! The card machine ate $80 of cash and they said there was nothing they could do about it! I had to call and complain a few times for them to offer money back. But no one working on site was any help at all. Honestly horrible staff other than front desk and the room service! Overall super fun experience! 26F, 26M, 17M, 18 month baby and two 60yos!

I decided on this place since they had a few unique slides and such a unique look! plus you got 2 parks in one. I am not a go kart person and they have quite a lot of them. My husband enjoyed those. I just watched. I really wanted to try the roller coasters and I was so lucky with NO lines. The 4 wooden coasters are rough and very intense rides. Would I ride them again? Probably not. But I was so glad I could try them. The waterpark was fun. I did spend most of my time in the indoor portion. However, I really enjoyed the lazy river outside. The crazy wave pool with the 9 foot waves ... scary and crazy... Also not for me but I enjoyed people watching. The rotating slide is really why I was there. I never been on something like this. I think it's the only one in the USA and wow was it weird. It was really fun and different and something I will be probably never experience again. It can give you a little bit of motion sickness due to the movement but if that's not an issue for you, you should be good. I also love a good hot tub which they had. I definitely recommend and would love to come back. It was just so unique and fun.

I noticed on the website right away that sundara had construction going on. So when I called to reserve I asked right away exactly How the construction would affect our stay. They assured me that where we were going to be staying they wouldn't be working and that all the work was being done on the way opposite side of the resort. So I went Ahead and gladly paid $577 for my over night stay and couples massage. The room was awsome and the massages were great! But then to get woken up at 7:30am with loud banging literally right next door was frustrating. I think it's great your trying to imprOve and expand but then be honest with me and I would have waited to spend my $577 when the construction was over. My friend works construction everyday and took today (Monday) off of work to get away and relax with me and we dealt with it the whole time. Also I think it's pretty unsanitary to have the breakfast food literally NEXT to rooms that are being worked on. I could see dust coming from a room very close to wear all the fruit and other food was laying out.

The picture of the room in no way reflects what my room looked like AT ALL. Definitely a motel with poor amenities and dirty! I spilled some water on the floor and used a towel to clean it up. The towel ended up completely dirty from wiping the floor (disgusting). Added picture. Also saw a piece of what I think was dried up meat next to the microwave. They indicate you get free WiFi and cable TV. I was unable to get any WiFi unless I went across the street to the lobby. I asked the front desk about it and they use the router from the hotel and expect that the buildings across the street will connect to the signal (no extender). I included a pic of the message I received on all of my devices. When it did connect, it would then indicate "Internet no connection". My nephew wanted to watch a movie so we turned on the TV. Only got 5 of the cable channels and they were 3 news channels and a cartoon channel. All other channels indicated the signal was too weak (again, probably wired into the cable from across the street). As I sat in the lobby over two days when I needed WiFi, I counted 6-7 customers who went to the front desk complaining about various things. The front desk sticks to their script and we're not accommodating or helpful. Always offered to give the money back and the person could go elsewhere. I have never observed so many complaints from a variety of people (in two days) and I do quite a bit of traveling. We have stayed in 4-5 places in the Dells and this is BY FAR the worst accommodations and customer service we have encountered. Even the "free" use of the Natura beach (which is a great perk) won't lure us to stay at a Natura "resort" ever again. Recommendation: STEER CLEAR of their hotel/lodging!!

We checked in for two nights and honestly had a good time. There's a pool, sauna and hot tub that overlook the water which was perfect for watching it snow. Our rooms were nice, bed super comfortable. The only thing I would say is one of the rooms next to us had a loud shower and we heard it every time it started, but it would go away pretty quickly. I would stay again, this is not our go to- but the rating on Yelp is far from correct.

My best friend and I called this place on a roadtrip because we found it on google and thought it was worth a shot and Chris the owner answered and was so kind and thoughtful that we detoured and stopped to meet him there in the middle of winter. We chose this place because of him and the fabulous, well kept property. We talked with Chris and his wife several times prior to our August wedding and they were patient with our planning process and able to accommodate all of our requests. We cannot thank them enough for the use of the clubhouse and pool! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and exceptional service that made our stay truly unforgettable.  Chris and his wife Angie, the staff and property were more than we could have dreamed up! The property itself is absolutely stunning, nestled in a picturesque setting that offers breathtaking views and a serene atmosphere of the Wisconsin River. We couldn't decide out of the two experience which one to do so we did a double feature. We come into the building on the 4th of July and there is an information desk because the place is loaded with other things to do at the resort. We get to the Take Flight and wait in line until it's time for us to go in. It was a bit of a wait because a group before us had just gone in. We did the Space Flight first. WOW is all I can say! I don't want to give it away but I would recommend the experience. It's full of surprises. We really enjoyed Space Flight. Then we unfortunately had to stand in line again for Wonders of the American West. That wait was even longer. We enjoyed that experience too. We got our pictures taken by a photographer for both experiences and we took advantage of their picture offerings after we were done to remember the experience. The one thing that needs improvement is that you have to be weighed before getting access to the line (which is fine). You have to be less than 325 pounds. There is a red light/green bright circular light on a tall pole right above the scale for everyone to see. It's embarrassing if you step on and it turns red for no entry. That should be moved so only the attendant can see. No one should have anxiety about people seeing if you get a green light or red light. Next we were hungry so we stopped at the Camp Social Burger Bar. Many were hanging out at the bar and the food looked pretty good so we decided to get the Burger BBQ which is an angus beef patty with cheese, bacon and onion strings with bbq sauce. It came with homemade potato chips. Hubby got a pina colada mocktail and they decorated it so pretty with the 4th of July colors and decorations. I must say the burger, chips and the drink were divine. We sat in the seating they have and just chilled which was nice. They have so many other eating places and a candy shop. We really enjoyed our experience there and highly recommend. Thank you Wilderness at the Resort. A+ in our books!
