Overall, this place feels like it was probably a great "resort" 25 years ago, but it's definitely showing its age now. The room itself was large, which was nice, but the broken toilet seat was hard to overlook, that's something housekeeping should have caught and fixed before anyone checked in. They did offer to fix it or change our room promptly. The outdoor Waterpark felt very unregulated. The drop slide didn't have a bar to hold onto like every other slide of this type, and kids were allowed to stand right where riders came off the slides, which didn't feel safe. The outdoor bar in the sand wasn't open on a Thursday or Friday, which was disappointing. The arcade closes at 9, and after that there's basically nothing left for kids to do. The gym was AWFUL. It's three hotel rooms with a ripped out sink and dim lighting. The weight rack is an embarrassment. They had one set of 10lb dumbbells. The next lowest weight was 30lbs and it topped out at 50lbs. The zip-lining on the property is offered at $25 if you purchase it prior to check in. It costs $70 if you book afterwards. It felt like we were in another country - we had one guide for the 4 of us. She let my husband go on his own, my 11 year old followed. Then she zip-lined over leaving my daughter and myself to hopefully set ourselves up properly. There were times she was already ahead of me and not there to receive my daughter or myself when we zip lined across. Really increased my anxiety as a parent. Overall, it's a low‑budget version of a Great Wolf Lodge but they allow you to bring your pets with you. read more

Chula Vista states in its website that at least one person must be 18 or older to check in. My son and his friends (all 18+) were turned away and told that the policy was 21+. In following up with management, they first denied that happened, then stated they were turned away because "everyone in the party didn't have ID". Never in 49 years of renting a hotel room have I ever been asked for everyone in my party to show ID, nor is it in their policy to require it. This forced the party to have to book another facility in person after driving around for an hour, and at a much higher rate. They refunded the stay but are now refusing to respond to emails. Steer clear of this desert and their poor management, much better experiences to be had in the Dells. The group had a wonderful experience at the Kalahari. read more

My family and I stayed here this past weekend. Our experience was less than satisfactory. We called room service to clean the room and change the bed sheets and towels. We left for hours and nothing had been done. We called again, and when they came they just threw the sheets and towels on the bed. Then we called again to get them to change the sheets for us, but no one came. They did have time, however to steal one of our bedsheets that we brought! On top of this, the fan was broken and made a lot of noise that wouldn't let us sleep. The ice machine was broken and the elevator was dingy. The pull out sofa bed was very uncomfortable and not even suitable to sleep on. At the waterpark our family felt unsafe. One lifeguard pushed me out of the way while walking down the stairs instead of saying excuse me during a rotation. Moreover, a fight broke out in front of me and my 5 year old cousin. Paid for the all inclusive package during winter break. I think it was worth it, but my husband typically eats one meal a day and my kids barely eat, so I feel like we could've gotten "our money's worth" if that wasn't the case. It truly is all inclusive: no limits to number of drinks. They won't let you box up anything to go, but we could order appetizers and entrees. When we first arrived, the receptionist did not explain well where our room was located, so we ended up wandering around cluelessly with a large cart of stuff. I finally had to inquire at the front desk again. I like that you can access the Waterpark from anywhere in the resort. Being winter and snowing, it was good that we could walk indoors. I'm glad they have areas for toddlers and the "lazy/ active" river is a good choice. The rooms seem a bit outdated and definitely nothing fancy, but we still enjoyed our stay. I think I'd be happy to return. My kids enjoyed it just as much as GWL and I enjoyed being able to drink and eat "for free." read more

unsure why anyone stays here. If I could rate it lower than 1 Star, I would. Upon arrival only 1 elevator working for 2 floors full of condos. Maintenance informed us elevator had been out for a month! Reported this to Wisconsin code violation department and elevator was fixed the next day. the swimming pools advertised are very deceptive. Very tiny with at the deepest in all three pools being 3.6 inches. they also close at 7pm with plenty of day light left. so you return from activities during the day expecting to relax by the pool. Nope! have always stayed places where pools are opened until 10. Our unit had garbage backed up in sink upon arrival. Refrigerator is broke. Dishwasher broke and had water all over floor. So many issues. Have documented and have plenty of pictures! Chula Vista would do nothing. Said they were not responsible for 3rd party units. VRBO could care less. did nothing but string us along for 4 days with the promise of reimbursement. Gave us a small amount for personal items we had to purchase because of items being destroyed from water leakag. Also we had 4 towels for 6 people for the week!!! so had to buy towels. But host "Danny" gets away again. He knew about some of these broken appliances for 2 years, others for at least 2 months per other reviews. Do not rent from Danny or VRBO. He is very rude, condescending and arrogant. Sent him our numbers so he could call & talk about these issues. Promised to call but never did. what he does is tells you he will fix things and never follows through. So the next people who come in our dealing with the same issues. List of issues with our Stay at Chula Vista where I had two rooms reserved through Wyndham. This was my first experience with Wyndham and Chula Vista. 1. One of the 2 central elevators in condo section broken whole stay. 2. Some of the ice machines not working. 3. Garbage in halls. 4.Dumpster and many public garbage cans for garbage overflowing. 5. Many Luggage carts broken or with flat tires. 6. Smoke detector in our room was triggered while cooking twice. Safety man showed up both times but NO alarm went off IN THE ROOM ! 6. Badge readers on exterior doors disabled so anybody could walk into the hotel at any time of the day or night whether they are Guest or not. 7. Many staff people that could not answer simple questions in English (directions, etc). 8. No miniature golf for grandma to play with grandsons. Shutdown for some unknown reason. Maybe lack of staffing? 9. Zip line tour advertised as 15 lines. There was only 10. 10. Check-in counter in Condo section closed down. Have to hike to the other end of complex, as parking is full anywhere close to a building. Overall neglect of maintenance, cleaning, and safety for a place this expensive. These concerns were shared with the Manager on duty and he could do was blame the condo "HOA" or the guests. I will stick with Marriott chain and resorts as I have been using them for 25+ years and never had issues that weren't immediately addressed. read more

We stayed at Chula Vista for 2 nights and had a very good experience. From the moment we checked in, the staff at the front desk was terrific. Wealth of knowledge, courteous, and professional. The rooms are very spacious. They need to be updated, but we still had everything we needed, including microwave and refrigerator. There is a huge store by the front desk with a coffee shop. The resort was decorated nicely for the season, and the service at the huge main bar was exceptional. Drinks were great. There were lots of people ordering food at the bar, which looked awesome, especially the pizza. We walked through the water park area just to see it, but we didn't swim. It wasn't super busy, but they definitely packed alot of attractions in a small area. We had arcade credits and spent a few hours on the arcade which was really fun! Our room was advertised as being newly remodeled and the place is advertised as being much nicer than it actually is. Immediately upon entering our room it smelled like a mixture of urine, smoke and humid mold smell. The room was not newly remodeled unless the remodel took place in 1990. Additionally, the bed sheet had a brown stain on it when pulling back the covers, our shower made an unruly noise when turning it on and the balcony was full of bugs, leaves and dirt. This place is no where near worth the price we paid. I would never stay here again. The icing on top was that the water park closed at 7 on a Thursday night and we got to the hotel at 5pm so we got about an hour of time to enjoy everything that we "paid for", total waste of money. read more

minutes ago on Google Paid for the all inclusive package 4th of July weekend 2025 and it has been full of disappointment. The staff is rude and are trying to give their friends free food and drinks rather than honor the all inclusive wrist bands. In line for a drink, the attendant kept trying to take the order of the people behind me and then told them they should've ordered from her she would've gave it to them for free. After reading reviews and seeing the overall rating I was a little nervous. I used to go to Chula Vista for a work conference awhile back and always had a good time so I booked a family trip with some friends for this past weekend. We rented 2 condos right next to each other. Next time I would for sure try to get adjoining doors and patios but lesson learned. The condos were clean, well ventilated, AC worked great and we really had no issues. Sure they're not updated but they're rustic and comfortable, not dirty by any means though. The property itself is huge and the river walk is gorgeous. There are a bunch of small pools around the property and the wave pool is super fun. The convenience store in the lobby was well stocked and clean and there's one of those fake Starbucks but the coffee was strong and the food was good. The water park is great, just laid out kind of weird. It is a very long walk from the inside to the outside. I wish there was an entrance directly to the outdoor portion. But the pools were all clean, lifeguards attentive and friendly. A lot of different size water slides for all different ages. The snack bars were good- good pizza and burgers. Everything was hot and fresh. It's not a 5 star resort but I have no complaints. Great value for what you pay, would definitely go again. My kids liked it better than GWL! read more

I stayed at one of the villas I booked through Vrbo, and unfortunately, cleanliness was a major issue from the moment I walked in. I had to clean immediately upon entering. The walls and surfaces were covered in dust, the countertops were smudged with grease, and bugs were crawling on the sliding door that leads to the balcony. The bathtub was so dirty that I wouldn't dare shower in it with shoes on. I ended up having to scrub the tub and soak the silverware in hot, soapy water because there was still food stuck on it. Thankfully, I always travel with cleaning supplies, so I was able to disinfect everything myself--but that should not be necessary when you're paying for accommodations. This resort seriously needs to raise its standards for cleanliness. If my villa appeared to have only received a quick, surface-level cleaning, imagine the condition of the lobby and common areas--they were clearly not being properly maintained either. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, and I would not stay here again unless significant improvements are made. read more

Would give 5-stars if they had proper signs while first arriving for direction to registration to hotel, condo, villa, indoor Waterpark, and all other amenities like restaurants. Props for giving us a map after registration. No free breakfast, but in the registration lobby is a Starbucks/Roadster Coffee House combo that had the best breakfast sandwich. Their sausage, egg, and cheese on English muffin comes with two sausage patties and fresh cut fruit. When I was there the fruit was cantaloupe and watermelon. Honestly, the best breakfast a girl could ask for. And with Starbucks' brown sugar shaken espresso, it really sealed the deal as an excellent place to go for breakfast. They had other breakfast options too. I highly recommend Roadster's Coffee House in Chula Vista's lobby! Lazy river was amazing at the indoor Waterpark. So storytime!! We went up to the dells at Chula Vista in Wisconsin Dells for the weekend. We checked take the kids to Waterpark , dinner etc get cleaned up to rest got o bed the kids are still up watching movies on the tablets well they wake us up close to midnight saying there are bugs all over the room in the kitchen and bathroom and came out once the lights went off. We get up to check it out and I wasnt sure what they were at first. So I decided to do a Google lens search of what it was and come to find that what it was German Cockroaches!!!! And they were everywhere. So I go to call front desk to find the phone isn't working in the room. So I had to call through my phone which brings me to some call center. FIRST the guy was like well were close to sold out and wanted to move us to a room that was like right next to the room ... um no there going to be there too guaranteed. Im like no I want away put of this building somewhere else. Supposedly they didnt have one in the other buildings so they offered on the other end for the night a floor above but was a down graded room. By this time its almost 1am fine do it the kids need to get to bed were ticked and exhausted. We extra checked the room which it was clean nothing thankfully. We're told to come talk to the hotel manager in the morning. We go in the morning im crabby because honestly who could sleep after being in the 1st room with bugs in it gross!! We go down and low and behold manager isn't there yet. The supervisor who give us am upgrade in a different building in a condo which was nice. We said we wanted our money back for the night before because of all the Inconvenience we've had to go through. And was told because we purchased the all inclusive package that she wasnt able to refund anything and that we would have to wait to speak to the manager and he would be on at 3pm so again we had to wait to come back to speak to him fine we wil do that another inconvenience having to keep going back. Finally get to the time to speak to him go to front desk and explain again to some one there who basically brushed us off like they didnt care. Like well why hasn't anyone else complained?? And that theres no way they could be in another room. I call bs. But we get to finally speak to the manager who tells us yah I know about it so we tell him we want some compensation for this due to all the inconvenience just Friday night because we were okay with everything were we are now. And he goes well we gave you a room upgrade and all like we had to move your lucky were still here and not demanding a full refund! He first tries to offer 50% a future stay umm no thats not going to cut it. Then offers a $150 gift card. Fine we'll take it but told him we are calling the health department. He was so rude to us and indont get because we had an all inclusive package why we couldnt get comped for our troubles?!?! So public service warning dont stay here or if you do go do not stay in any of the gold Villa buildings unless you want to deal with roaches!! I am going to post this everywhere too. Beware of weekdays- a lot is not available. Go to a better water park. We had Room 2645. needs painting, a good deep clean, just very lazy cleaning- a lot of obvious things completely overlooked- a lot of dust and things need replacing. We booked the Sweet Escape package at Chula Vista, which was supposed to include a $100 steakhouse credit and a bottle of champagne. Sounds dreamy, right? Except apparently "sweet escape" meant escaping the fine print. We went to the steakhouse and did their "2 for $99" deal (because who doesn't love a deal?) only to find out the $100 credit doesn't apply to it. Totally misleading. We still ordered $70 worth of drinks, so it's not like they lost money on us. The champagne? At least that part was real--cheers to small wins. When we asked to just go back down to the normal room rate since the voucher wasn't usable, the manager literally sat there crunching numbers like we were asking him to solve a Wall Street merger. Spoiler: it was not that deep. To add to the fun, we brought our son along, only to find out the waterpark and mini golf were closed. Nothing like explaining to your kid that "fun" was included in the package... just not available. All in all, not the getaway we thought we were paying for. Just ok accommodations: mid quality but had water park and restaurants on premise. 2.75 stars Highlights: - Waterpark on site: indoor and outdoor - Being one of the smaller resorts, less crowded - Fun drink mugs in shark or emojis could refill for a discount at each location - Kaminskis bar had nice cocktails and staff - Sports pool: small pool with a basketball hoop on each side was our fave spot. My son loved playing pool basketball and I liked that there were not many people and comfortable chairs. - Room we got for 6 was better setup than expected: thought it was going to be only 1 room with 3 beds plus a sofa bed but in actuality it was an attached room with 2 beds, tv, and a door to close which was great. Lowlights: - Pretty small water park: only a few outside and inside - No maid service: doesn't make sense for a hotel especially a water park where you'd want fresh towels - Pool towels are way too tiny: can barely cover a waist. If you want to lounge definitely need to bring your own - Sheets were scratchy - Room was pretty dark and didn't feel very clean - Temperature control: extreme either too hot or too cold - Bar by lobby restaurant was not great. Servers were disgruntled and not welcoming - "Hot springs" is a mid sized rectangular pool, wasn't very hot, and sandy on the bottom. Management was more concerned about the well-being of wasps than the patrons. We had a block of rooms that spanned three floors and there was very active wasp activity outside of each of the rooms. 3 out of 6 rooms had wasps inside the room due to holes in the screens. This made what was listed as a balcony view of the WI river impossible unless you brought an EpiPen. When we were finally able to speak to management about it we were told that the wasps were protected and they could not do anything about it. Flat out lied. No such thing as a protected wasp. Rooms were outdated and many things were not working including outlets. If you plugged in a charger, it would just fall out of the socket. I have never seen this before in my life. read more

First time we stayed here was pretty good. Had no issues. The second time we had to pay $80 to push our stay back one week because our daughter was sick, which is annoying but understandable. When we finally made the trip, my son (whose birthday we were there to celebrate) busted his head on a handrail at the resort. He couldn't swim at all the next day because of his stitches. This is my third visit to CV, the last being in 2016. Oh how things have changed. This used to be a jewel, and years of neglect and deferred maintenance have caught up with Chula Vista. We are staying here for several days during our summer vacation, and it feels like nothing works properly. Given the prices, one feels cheated for the value delivered. Before I say ways wrong, let me just say that the people have been mostly fantastic - doing what they can with the place falling apart around them. The restaurant's lights flicker like something out of the Shining. If you look you'll find holes in the walls, missing fixtures, ceiling panels that were just never replaced and drawers that have been ripped from their rails. The fountains are an eye sore and there are half completed improvements at every corner. We had to walk across the complex to get ice because the machine in our building was broken. I gave it two stars because the value just in any there. Pay the same price and go to Grey Wolf lodge, that doesn't have years of inattention. read more

Dear Chula Vista, This is the most horrible experience I have ever had at a hotel. there is poop smeared on the bathroom wall and pubic hair inside the bathtub I am not impressed there are teared up couches. and the lobby looks horrible.( For example, why are there beach chairs? ) and why is there a gorilla with no face that is broken off? There were a lot of people at the hotel and the waterpark was so crowded and they closed off all their slides and attractions. lights shining from the outside into our windows. and our curtains were not closing all the way. Our air conditioner was broken. there was also no conditioner in the showers front desk was incredibly rude and not cooperative once again furniture was really ugly and definitely would not stay here again. The rooms our very dirty, everything was broken. The curtains wouldn't close, dresser handle fell off, it smelled horrific. We found dirty shorts on the floor next to the bed, the sheets had food stuck to it and were very stained. We stayed for 4TH OF JULY weekend, they are understaffed and we had zero housekeeping. The outdoor entrance to water park was closed the entire 4 day stay so we had to go through the indoor water park which is a hike. A lot of stairs and not very accessible. The "Starbucks" had no idea how to make menu items and asked us how much change we should get back from our order. I will never return to the Chula Vista, this place has gone downhill majorly since the last time we stayed 10 years ago.. read more

The fitness room looked like the Hulk smashed it. The room was outdated & the heat was trying to cook us like we were a meal in the oven even after I turned it down to 65 degree. Our stay at Chula Vista lasted for 3 days and 2 nights. The most fun we had here was at the shops 15 minutes away from the resort. (There was a nice outlet mall not too far and some cool museums that we walked through) First off, I will give it the benefit of the doubt because we chose to go in March so it was still cold and everything outside was closed. The main things I looked forward to (swim-up bar, taco stand, and wave pool) were all outside so that was disappointing. (But also my fault) Second, when we got here to check into the hotel they could not find our reservation and after a while of searching said it was cancelled, we then had to make a new reservation. I never went out of my way to cancel it and luckily I had my reciepts so I did not lose any money! Third, the arcade and the waterpark are both very disappointing. If I was a young child I would most likely have had a great time. The arcade is small and some of the best games were out of order. There was also a worker at the arcade that clearly hates her job and showed no care or respect about the people coming in and out. She was also never around so the arcade was left unattended a lot. The waterpark was also very small but it does have a fun basketball pool and some fun slides. The lazy river also has a wave setting which was also a pleasant surprise. Our trip did come as an all exclusive so we were able to have some free breakfast which was decent but not amazing. The steakhouse - Kaminski was very delicious but very expensive as well. They have delicious wine and amazing steak. All the steakhouse workers were very friendly and helpful. Lastly, the room was cozy. It was a king sized bed and it had a clean bathroom. There were some questionable stains on the tub and bed sheets. The TV is old so it only has cable but no TV channel guide. The bathroom is also old and the faucet blasts water but the water pressure was nice. I do not reccomend Chula Vista and I will not be coming here again. Definitely spend your money on The Wilderness or Mt. Olympus. read more

There are good things and bad things about this resort. Some good things - the lifeguards at the water park are very helpful and friendly. ability to find parking is no issue. Some bad things - when we got into our hotel room, there were bugs crawling all over the ceiling. I am a dental student, and this morning I went down to the lobby to get starbucks to complete some homework, and after waiting in line for 15+ minutes with my heavy backpack. I get up to order and the worker was extremely rude, and she would not accept my payment through my starbucks app. I did not have my wallet on me, as every starbucks is supposed to allow payment via the starbucks app. They also did not accept apple pay. Therefore, I had to walk away with nothing. Very frustrating. read more

I took my girls to Chula Vista for a weekend road trip! We chose this place because, on the website, it looked like a nice place to stay and seemed fun. However, when we arrived, it was such a big disappointment--it was nothing like the pictures. To start off, the suite had a nasty smell, like dirty, wet, old odor. The place really needs an update. The toilet was yellowish, and it wasn't securely fastened to the floor--it actually moved when you sat on it (a very strange feeling). Then, my girls wanted to go to the indoor park. When we got there, it had a gross vibe. The equipment was old and rusty, and the "plastic plants and decor" were dusty, dirty, and disgusting. There was food in the pool area by the entrance, and it just didn't feel right. My girls didn't want to stay, so after about 30 minutes, we decided to leave. We also tried the jacuzzi, which was okay, despite the disrespectful kids eating pizza in it. Thankfully, we found other activities in town, and that ended up being the highlight of our trip. We will definitely return to Wisconsin because it's a beautiful state, but we will never go back to Chula Vista. I almost felt like I was being "catfished" because online, they sell you one thing, but in reality, it's a nasty place. I advise you not to waste your hard-earned money here. read more

When we stayed 10 years ago the beds were so comfy. Now they were rock hard and we all woke up to back aches. Refrigerator did not work, sink did not drain, shower handle was loose and barely put out water. Patio door didn't lock neither did hall door. Main indoor slide (brown one) didn't work. Water park is really the draw. Everything else is awful. If you are unfortunate enough to stay in one of the rooms near the golf course, you'll be disconnected from everything. There is only one place to get coffee or food and it's a 15 minute walk or five minute drive. There is NO staff to take care of you in the outer lodging facilities. Our room didn't have enough towels, no tissue paper, and literally no soap. We had to use the body wash from the shower and our own hand sanitizer for washing hands. I asked the registration desk twice to give us soap and replace towels. Of course they didn't even come out over the course of four days. There is an enormous pile of bird droppings right out my door, so the screen deck was disgusting.  Garbage in the public trash can outside was serviced once, so that adds to the disgusting experience. For the price you're paying, you might think you'll be able to get coffee or water or breakfast. Nope. You will have to walk or drive to the main building to stand in a very long line at a very tiny Starbucks stand. The baristas are nice but overworked considering hundreds of visitors are using them for coffee every day. The waterslides are nice, both indoor and outdoor. If that's all you care about, you will enjoy Chula Vista. We don't plan to ever stay there again since there are so many water parks in the area. read more

I had stayed at the Chula Vista for two nights the first night we got here for check-in. It took two hours for them to even get us checked in because they tried saying they don't have our confirmation and they don't see our name. So after two hours go by we get our room that we paid almost $400 for and it wasn't even cleaned. They told us to wait 30 minutes then got a call to come back down to the front desk so they could give us a different room because that room wasn't gonna be clean in 30 minutes like they said also came to our room. The Jacuzzi was dirty. The showers don't drain the toilet toilets don't flush then they gave us a $50 gift card water parks closed for two days. Arcades closed for two days. Worst experience I've had here and I will never be back. You have staff walking around doing nothing. It's pretty sad. This place has went downhill real bad shittiest experience ever and it was for someone's birthday hope you guys can do better. read more

So disappointed! Our room was dirty . The people staying below us had dogs and they barked none stop. Numerous waterslides were shut down or broke . The indoor hot tub was broke and jets did not work. Overall disgusting. Will not be returning. read more

my expectation was too high I guess, considering what we paid , I felt my expectations were right on . Close to 300 each night . 2 nights. It would have been 1000 for all inclusive . Thank goodness we didn't do that . What we were told for our room was , was way different than what we got . They then gave us ground level in the North tower ,later figured out South tower is way nicer. Door in bathroom would even close. was warp... I did try to express my sadness to the reservation desk and front desk manager but they didn't want to change my mood. When I said they said we were right next to everything . We are grandparents with bad backs. The front desk manager said everything is right next to everything . I noticed were received in an e mail 20.00 for an upgrade , but us being so disappointed in our first visit here wasn't worth 20.00 . I did share that we could have went to Kalahari,Wilderness , Great Wolf for what we paid . Truth is we wanted to try something different. We like to try different places every time . Go with your gut instinct, go somewhere else . They didn't care . Indoor waterpark had a woman screaming at children including myself when she monitors the slides. Many slides were broken. Both waterparks were run down . Even the signage in the hotel was wrong, leading you to things they don't have . Both waterpark closed at 7 pm. Positives : Wonderful breakfast buffet . Young lady at front desk was awesome, actually listened to us. Outdoor jacuzzi was fun . Waitstaff and hostess very pleasant . I'm not saying we would never go back but high likely we won't . We were recommended this place from a friend . I shared that, too . Again , they didn't care. Totally felt our business wasn't important to them . They had conventions and a wedding so that's their focus . read more

The condos need updating and better air flow as there was a bad smell in the unit. No housekeeping service at all during a 5 day which made things difficult as there are no cleaning products mops or brooms. Water park was great and staff was nice. read more

Fairly basic in my opinion when compared to other Wisconsin Dells resorts with waterparks. Only one indoor and one outdoor main waterpark, a tiny wave pool the back area. If you play golf, there's a course, maybe this is for you. If you have toddlers, the indoor set up would work for your family. Possibly one of the few in the Dells that has some dog friendly units. But, the resort could really sharpen up their game. Security doors on the building we were in were wide open, old wasp nests in all the outdoor venting, barn swallow mud nests in the eves with bird poop running down the exterior walls, no attention to scanning of wrist bands when entering the park, no towel attendants , so why even issue towel cards, just help yourself I guess. Could be so much better with more attention by staff and cosmetic upkeep. read more

just went a great weekend with the enclosed park. The food was awesome nice and clean no problems.

First time at Chula Vista...We were here with our baseball team for four nights and five days for a tournament. The positives are the walkability to the water park, the water parks and the open land for the kids to play. Also, the air conditioning in the room is great! The rest, I can't give many stars to. We were in the villas building and maintenance did not come out there to collect the outdoor trash the whole weekend. Ew. The laundry machine was broken and the he front door had no spring and jump slams shut, loudly, each time. The rooms are a decent size, but the beds done have fitted sheets so if the sheet you lay on moves, you are touching the mattress...gross. The towels are sandpaper, and you cannot convince me otherwise. They are also very small. The water parks close at 7pm all of June, July and August. What? That's very strange to me. Wisconsin Dells is not full of great resorts, but still, I'd pass on Chula Vista next trip. read more

I would not recommend this place due to the lack of communication and rude front desk staff. We arrived to check in at 4:00. However we were told their systems were down and we couldn't get into the room. Everything was downhill from there: -had to wait for a phone call to come BACK to get keys when they were ready after 5 o'clock -systems down: took photocopies of my credit card number and ID- not secured at all afterwards, just passed around -came back to get keys after 5 pm and the "manager" was extremely rude stating they were "hacked by a 3rd party" and it wasn't their problem -entire place was then cash only with a non working ATM -condo was okay- no dish soap, paper towel, conditioner (only shampoo) Overall, Experience was not good, wouldn't recommend to others. Resort also didn't even try to comp for anything or even apologize. I would recommend this place replace that manager because he has zero customer service read more
