This is my 2nd time coming here. The place is fairly large, reminds me of an event hall. Huge amount of food options to choose some. Aunties are friendly and come to each table offering whatever items they have in each cart. The bbq pork was my favorite for sure and so was the stewed tripe. I'm a sucker for Chinese broccoli and dim sum. The flavors are delicious and items are made fresh. My only complaint would be that the items are not as hot as I would like. Most of these were just warm. Plenty of parking and lots of other spots near by for dessert!

Came here for my birthday brunch and left stuffed, there is plenty to choose from and all the servers are very helpful. The carts are constantly passing with so many options to choose from and the tables are spacious. Great place for dimsum

I was craving Dim Sum in Los Angeles for my birthday but I did not want to drive that far. I settled for Jasmine sea food restaurant. I haven't been here in years, not much has changed but the prices. It has gotten very pricey. They have your usual dim sum items, they were all mid. Nothing stood out for me. You can order other items on their menu. Pros: huge restaurant, excellent service from the servers and food cart pushers, photo ops. Con's: over priced & parking is extremely limited. They do have a small parking structure and it's pay per hour.

Great local favorite in the Kearny Mesa neighborhood of San Diego. The Dim Sum is authentic Cantonese that's served from push carts and a la carte. Decor might be dated, but the food is worth a visit if you're craving for Dim Sum in the area.

YIKES I apologize in advance for this long and nasty review. But you guys should also apologize to your customers. Like wow, I knew this wasn't going to be the best, but I just wanted something passable. I'm not sure I can call this passable. Uuuhh, how about this? Some dim sum places make their stuff to order when business is slow. Maybe you guys should consider doing that? If it's bad enough that many items are cold or get reheated when I order it, I don't see value in the carts. Maybe just bring them out on the weekends, and even if you reheat it, a reheated radish cake is not the same as a fresh radish cake, come on. Yeah, some American will be sad that he/she can't get the "full" experience, but screw that guy. The garlic chive dumpling was probably the biggest casualty. We thought it was decent; it's just like....cold. The soup dumplings have also obviously been sitting somewhere way too long. To its credit, there's still a bit of broth inside, but the texture of the skin is weirdly chewy and dried out. That's about it because I can't blame the state of the other dishes on the temperature. - Jellyfish - It looks weird; the texture is slightly off and it's really bland. There's basically nothing on it. - Tofu skin roll - The meat in this is disgusting. I've never seen the meat in a tofu skin roll this dried out and separated. - Chicken feet - The texture of this was fine, but it's pretty bland. There's like nothing added to it. - Pea sprouts - The absolute worst. First of all, I didn't even know it was possible to screw up frickin stir-fried pea sprouts this badly??? But somehow they accomplished it. Like, some of the sprouts were too fibrous and chewy. On top of that, it was a bit dry and not enough garlic. You can even tell just by the way they're initially laid out on the plate that they're weirdly shriveled compared to how a plate of fresh and soft pea sprouts should look. I can make better pea sprouts than this. As a further insult, the plate of pea sprouts is $27? The heck? Aren't these like $7 a pound maximum? Am I crazy? The egg tarts and sesame balls were fine. Did they even make these though? Press x to doubt. My mom pointed out that she hates the yellow paint of the ceiling. The walls with an orange tint are better. I don't care about that, but I was curious about the stage and all the stage lights. Apparently, they might perform once a year for like Chinese New Year or something, and those do nothing the rest of the year. Okay. I'm going to make a comment about the service as well. Specifically, I'm wondering if it's possible for service to be too aggressive. The tea cups at dim sum places are quite small, so for me, it only takes like one gulp to drink half of it. I feel like two of the employees were pretty much parked over my shoulder, immediately swooping in after every sip. It reminds me of when I was eating with like 3 Chinese aunts when I was like 15, and they just continuously dropped things on my plate. LOL It pains me to say this, and I feel like I've NEVER said this before, but this place is probably overstaffed. I counted at least five employees servicing the front of the house, when there were like....four tables with customers. I suppose some people enjoy this level of attentiveness from customer service. My introverted behind does not. The congee didn't look bad. If I'm kidnapped to come here again, I will try that.

Excellent service from the ladies pushing the dim sum carts! Quick service from them once we sat down. When we wanted something but not in the cart, the lady would go to kitchen and order for us. We appreciated very much for the friendly, courteous and going above and beyond services. Dim sum were delicious. Crispy pork belly were with good seasoning, crispy skin and the right portion of lean:fat meat. The restaurant was nicely decorated for Chinese New Year: red lanterns, red tablecloth, and displaying new year scenes.

Grab and go dimsum for brunch today! The siumai with chili oil is a must-order. The fried dumplings in the front with pork & mushrooms were also delicious - the texture of the outside is chewy like mochi. Quick service is always bonus!

So many delicious choices. All hot and fresh. Coming from Vegas very pleased to find this yelp place.

Parking can be challenging. Street parking is free but you will need to walk. Pretty large place. Actual carts you choose your dim sum. Everything was ok. Nothing spectacular. I wanted to try the sticky rice shrimp balls- it's my favorite. They were too dense. Also pretty pricey. Service was good.

Beautiful Chinese art and décor adorn the space, seemingly imported directly from China.

This review pretty much sums up all of them. I read them all, and I agree with what people are saying. The service definitely leaves a lot to be desired. It's confusing--you have to ask for a menu or you won't get one--and while the staff can be attentive, the communication skills are clearly lacking. That said, the main thing everyone agrees on, even the one-star reviews: the food is amazing. We absolutely loved it, and we consider ourselves Asian-cuisine aficionados. The rice is to die for, and the noodles are completely out of this world. So the verdict here is unanimous--despite its service shortcomings, this place rocks.

Wow! The best! You cannot come here without ordering their Peking duck! It's the queen of the night! Haha! I would suggest getting the Peking duck 3course meal for about $69 ( shareable for everyone ) it comes with the whole duck, and they cut it in front of you. They cut the skin first with some meat and served it in a bao. Next, a lettuce wrap and then the duck soup! They also cook the rest of the duck stir-fried with tofu and bokchoy, it's delicious! We also got xiao long bao ( pork soup dumplings ), scallops and shrimps, beef and broccoli, fried rice, and I don't remember the names of the rest. We also got their jasmine tea which is really good especially I was feeling under the weather so that was perfect for me. This place is perfect for group gatherings, and any kinds of special events. They serve shareable foods for everyone and the best part is, they bring different kinds of dimsum in a cart at every table while you're eating and you just pick whatever you like. Monday's are reservations only! I highly recommend! Foods are delicious, place is beautiful and clean, servers are fast and friendly. We celebrated thanksgiving Friendsgiving dinner here tonight ( reservations only Monday's ) and all I can say is we picked the perfect venue! 5 out of 5! Thank you!

Classic dim sum! With the carts and everything Food was delicious, some were a bit greasy but definitely brings back memories of dim sum in Hong Kong. Service is exactly what you're looking for in a dim sum spot, noisy and busy, grab what you want and the aunties are friendly but quick. Classic dim sum restaurant vibes with a giant dining room with all the tables spread out, will definitely be noisy as everyone is there with families or friends, better with more people. 4/5 great for classic dim sum

    Tatum G.

This place is honestly not the best. It's pretty average dimsum, not super great quality. Many of the dishes needed to be warmed up prior to serving off the cart. Tea was also watered down. Service was good. The most diabolical part was it was $86 for 8 dimsum servings! It's pretty expensive considering other dimsum in the area.

What can we order that is nut and seafood free? We're planning to go eat dim sum for lunch tomorrow but my daughter's bf is allergic to nuts and shrimp, etc. Help!

The dimsum consistently comes out hotter too. We came today and had a bit of a sour experience. My MIL thought that the dishes were miscounted on our stamp sheet, and somehow the cart ladies and the manager(?) got involved. Everyone started counting dishes for a heated 5-10 mins. My MIL insisted the # of dishes were incorrect and the ladies kept counting out loud (and it got louder) but I feel like everyone kept on counting different numbers. Haha, it was kinda awkward and silly. One of the cart ladies seemed frustrated, briefly walked away and then came back and started using a random pair of chopsticks on the table to bang against each dish to count it aloud. Thought that was very classless no matter who was in the wrong. Just bad hygiene and rude. Ultimately, not sure who counted wrong or if my MIL made a mistake. Also, the cart lady avoided us on purpose after the altercation. She eventually came back later with her cart and I very specifically asked her for egg custard bun. She gave us the running salty egg yolk one..when I told her this she exploded at us. Very rude. She was already on the defense without us even saying much. The manager tried her best to deescalate everything so I could appreciate that. Another random thing that I caught was a male manager was refilling our pot of tea and he didn't even announce himself and hurriedly brought the super hot pot of tea between two people that were sitting closer to each other than the slot next to them between another pair on our table...I just thought that was so thoughtless and inconsiderate. My experience all other times have been good, so I'll chalk this down to the stress of the July 4th weekend breaking people down inside & projecting it on customers lol

I remembered being a little disappointed with the soup dumplings last time so I am really glad I changed up my order. I just love their Dan Dan noodles. It's definitely my go to dish from here.
