    The now broken ring
    Kendra T.

I'm very upset!! I came to this store and bought a rose quartz ring I fell in love with. Less then 24 hours after I bought the ring it was on my hand and broke, as a person who has always been interested in rose quartz I know that they are not easy to break. I called the store and talked to the manger who said that there were signs and the cashier said that the ring was fragile. In the store I didn't see any signs and was not told by anyone that the ring was fragile, I will not be coming back here! Very poor customer service and low quality stones.

    Double charges on my account

I thought this was a great place for crystals but I found out tonight that they are not I brought in a stone I wanted to get done so I could were around my neck and have them a design to see if they could do it when I returned it was nothing like I asked for and I shouldn't paid for it I wasn't happy from first seeing it I walked out the store and immediately turned around and asked if they could just exchange for basket because I felt like they didn't listen and just threw something together, I purchased multiple items from but I will never buy anything else they made me feel like I wasn't a valued customer and I have a feeling why but I'll leave that to myself so basically I just wasted my time and money THATS NOT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL BUT SINCE IM NOT FROM HERE THEY DONT CARE AND WHEN YOU KEEP SAYING YOUR TRYING TO HELP THATS NOT REALLY HELPING THEY ACTUALLY HURT MY FEELING BAD .THE MONEY MEANS NOTHING, MY FEELINGS MEAN EVERYTHING.update after Reading some of the review it seems they treat people that are not caucasian different and that's bad.update and the double charged my card.

This is part of the ring that broke into pieces.

I was in the Mall of America with my sister yesterday when she saw this shop and immediately wanted to go inside, as soon as she got in she fell in love with a rose quartz ring and begged to get it. She ended up buying a few more items. When we got back to the hotel we were staying at she saw the ring was not there. She ended going back the next day because she really wanted the ring and was upset that the shop had forgot it. She did end up buying the ring and was very happy. Less than 24 hours later the ring had broke while she was wearing it. Being VERY upset she called the shop and ask if she could come into the shop and replace it or get a refund. The manager said that because they were signs everywhere and the cashier had said that the ring was fragile they didn't need to replace it or give a refund. The shop had very bad customer service and cheap tumbled stones. I would NOT come here.

    Color-changing mood beads!

Wow, what a great little shop! Jewelry making is not really my thing, but I appreciate seeing unique shops in big malls where most things are your standard brands, so I came in. Lots of piecemeal beads means sooo much to look at, and best of all touch and feel and turn over in your hands-- way better experience than online shopping! Some varieties have uniqueness from bead to bead so you can get the perfect one for the project you have in mind! The staff were very friendly and explained how to shop: trays to help you sort, baggies to select, and a sharpie to write down the amount, price, and code for quick easy check-out. Surprisingly, the atmosphere was very relaxed... no employees were watching me very carefully, even though this is exactly the kind of shop that would experience "shortage" (aka stealing) because everything is so small and pocketable. I appreciated their trust in the clientele shopping there. I got a few cute centerpiece type beads for my mom who enjoys crafting necklaces, as I'm sure she can create an awesome ensemble with them. You'll also find all the other essentials like wire and clasps, etc. I was informed that they get new kinds of stock in all the time, which is neat because it means more to explore each time you come back. They also have a loyalty program for those big spenders. ;)

Little thought was given to the consequences of crowding the aisles with product displays making the store difficult for someone with mobility challenges. I dropped a few brushes (which I did buy) and because it is difficult for me to bend that far I cried out for help several times using my announcer voice. Everyone in the store would have to hear this unless they were wearing headphones. No one responded. After waiting a bit I struggled to get the items off the ground. Finally someone came but it was too late. She stood directly in front of me preventing me from reaching the register. People in general have no awareness of disability. The employee who rang me up obviously didn't know how to have a short friendly chat. It made me feel unwelcome, as if I were disturbing her somehow. I have a long retail history and can't imagine why someone would treat a customer that way. It's unfriendly. She was capable of the simplest basics of operating a register. Unkind. Luckily I don't need to visit often.

I came here because I needed a replacement Micron 005 pen, which is a favorite among artists. I'd checked online and saw they carried them (as did Michael's, but I'm looking to vote with my dollars and spend more appropriately), but elsewise wasn't sure what to expect on my visit. I was pleasantly surprised and I am certain I will be back in the future for projects I have planned. There's stuff here that you just won't find at any big box craft store. That said, this store caters primarily to painters and drawers. This isn't a store to get kid's art supplies; it's a place for adult artists to shop. Canvases (reasonably priced) in a multitude of dimensions (some taller than I am), a staggering assortment of oil paints, paint pens, acrylic leather paint (designed to flex), a massive number of Copics, pastels/charcoal/conte crayon, Sculpey, watercolor supplies including Arches large format single sheets, huge selection of high quality spray paints, canvas sold by the yard on rollers, resin making supplies (including face masks/goggles), gloss glazes for your ceramic firing projects, mechanical pencil leads in every gauge and hardness you could desire, journals/sketchbooks, storage and easels, impulse items like stickers/greeting cards/candy towards the registers, a massive custom framing counter and a canvas stretching counter as well. The employees were all friendly and eager to help. I got asked while I was browsing if I needed any help finding anything. (I did actually need help finding the Microns but my goofy butt auto responded I was just having fun looking... which I was, but LOL I could've also used the help. I'm just so used to turning down assistance.) There's bathrooms in the back if you have need. They are gender neutral, hooray! Nothing fancy, but all functional and clean enough. The surface parking lot is a bit small (and many of the spaces are 30 minute maximum), but there's also plenty of garages nearby as well. It was pretty busy when I was there on a Friday afternoon!

That is to say, I should've brought my own small containers and cash. There were a few things I might've taken home with me if I'd had a good way to hold them and pay for them. (It's a $1 fee for credit/debit under $10 purchase, which... getting above $10 here is actually something that would take genuine effort, lol.) While I was there on a Thursday afternoon, it was quite bustling with people scrounging about. I overheard a lot of chatter from those who are regulars who come in once a week to see what's new to choose from. My guess is there's likely a lot of turnover in what's available, since it all comes from donations. I could probably stand to bring them some stuff I have that's been lying around and not being used. This is not a large shop, but it's packed with all sorts of stuff. Honestly, you kind of just have to go there to experience it. But I tried to take some photos of the kind of stuff you MIGHT see there to give you an idea. For example, I certainly wasn't expecting to see a 55 gallon drum of tennis balls or bottle caps. But there they were! You'll need to parallel park on the street as there is not a lot that I saw, but the good news is that parking seemed to be ample as it's a mostly residential area. They do have a bathroom for customers if you need.
