Medium is pleasantly hot, just enough to prickle my scalp and make my nose run (lol, TMI). RC orders hot but Thai hot is too much even for him. Delicious! I've been looking for a good Thai place near me and was so happy I discovered Lotus Leaf. We got the Pad See Yew with chicken, which I loved! The Crispy Wonton Rolls were made to perfection! They were way better than regular wantons as you actually got a bite of cheese in each bite. Last we tried the Shrimp & Chicken Spring Rolls with peanuts sauce. I loved the freshness off them and the mint! 10/10 would recommend. We did curbside pickup and they were very prompt. I have never been in the inside so can't say much about the setup inside. read more

I gave this place a many chances before writing this review. It's done hill dramatically over the last few years. I would recommend not ordering in advance as you could show up and they start making the food when you arrive (I have witnessed it twice). No apologies ever made on the delay. The POS system wasn't working and they made a mistake on someone's order where they actually followed them out to their car to get the food back. I would say the spring rolls were the highlight of the meal - the peanut sauce was superb. Pickup was easy after ordering online. Can't really comment on the dine-in experience but I've been told good things. In a pinch, I wanted some chicken pad thai after curling on a Sunday night and picked up some from Lotus Leaf in Eden Prairie on my way home. It was good, but not spicy for medium. Next time I'll get more heat but it was enough to quench my appetite and desire for some noodles. The online ordering app didn't work but that could be because it was late on Sunday night. Location is easy to get to off of Hwy 5 and it's near a business park so there's plenty of free parking. The restaurant is in a little strip mall, the seating area is small, intimate with soft lighting, the interior decor is simple with Thai inspired arts throughout. The staff was very nice. We ordered the chicken egg rolls, spring rolls, chicken pad Thai & spicy green chicken curry. The egg rolls were small but there was plenty and surprisingly were meaty & were very tasty. The sauce was a little too vinegary for me. The spring rolls were the freshest that I've ever had! The wrap was tender, the filling was very well balanced with chicken, shrimp, noodles & veggies. The peanut dipping sauce was excellent! The chicken pad Thai was good, however, it was a little bit too sweet for me but my son enjoyed them very much. The spicy green curry was very good. Lotus Leaf is a Thai-inspired restaurant just off 212 in Eden Prairie. It is not an extensive menu, just one page but what they have is good. They have all the typical Thai dishes like pad Thai, Tom yum, etc. Also fried rice, curries and noodles. Their curry dishes are good. They have a Panang curry that is really tasty. Lotus Leaf food is not hot. You can order Thai Hot as that is one of four heat options. But it is not close to what you would expect. Even with that, the food is prepared well and has great flavor. Spring rolls are really good, $7 for two large rolls with shrimp and chicken and a great peanut sauce. Beer and wine is available. Beer selection is wide, you can get a Summit EPA for four bucks. No beer is over $6 and there are several local options. They have a number of lunch specials. I tried the potato and chicken yellow curry. The special comes with the curry and either fried or white rice, a cream cheese roll, small chicken fried egg roll and a green salad. The salad has blueberries, greens, etc., with a light dressing. All of this was $11 and plenty for lunch. The space itself is nicely decorated. There are booths, tables and high tops. Even when it's crowded at lunch the noise level is not bad at all. Service is fast and efficient. All in all, this is not the place if you want a wide selection of authentic Thai or hot food. But what they have is fresh and made well. read more

The food is Delicious! We discovered this place about a month ago and have been there about 4 times. My favorite is the Thai Fried Rice with Shrimp and a few extras like broccoli, carrots and ginger. The chicken potstickers are good and I've never liked potstickers. I also like the Crispy wonton rolls, chicken eggs rolls and the Garlic Shrimp are all delicious. I wish they had chicken wings and they are only open 4 hours a day for carry out. But the food is consistent and always very good! read more

Not sure what happened, but we got terrible food today pad see ew was dry and not good, it had two pieces of broccoli in it and maybe 4 little pieces of chicken. If you like Thai food, I highly recommend this place! It's an average size place in a new strip mall. Very clean. Nice decor. It wasn't very busy when we arrived. We were greeted warmly in seated quickly. We decided to share fresh spring rolls, Jasmine tea, pad thai with shrimp and chicken, green curry (also with shrimp and chicken), and mango and sticky rice. Everything was delicious! The pad thai can be ordered on a spice scale of 1-5. We opted for level 4. The green curry could be ordered mild, spicy or Thai spicy. We opted for Thai spicy. The spice levels were perfect for us, who enjoy spicy food. At some restaurants, the pets I is rather greasy. Not the case here. It was a nice balance and not greasy at all. I will preface this by saying that I have only gotten takeout from here (my understanding is the dining room is currently closed), but I genuinely don't understand why this place doesn't have a higher rating. I have tried almost every Thai restaurant in my area searching for the best and have been consistently disappointed -- until Lotus Leaf. The panang curry hits the spot every time and the spice level is consistent. For me, it is worth it to drive a little extra to pick up here instead of somewhere closer with less consistent quality. This little gem in Eden Prairie is such a surprise given this suburb's lack of true ethnic and diverse cuisine. It's in a strip mall so easy to miss but don't overlook because their lunch specials are worth it if you're in the area. $11 coconut curry special gets you perfect portions of salad, white rice or fried, small spring roll, small cream cheese roll, and coconut curry. I was both full and satisfied! Spice levels are rather Minnesotan. Go straight for Thai hot if you want any level of heat. Space was bright and clean. While I'm not allergic and wouldn't have died, they do make my stomach hurt so it was a big hassle having to pick out all of the onions and cilantro. I had high hopes from the reviews. They were very fast. We had planned on eating there, but they're only doing pickup right now. The pad Thai was ok, flavor was fine, but just not much there besides the chicken. I'm used to at least seeing longer lengths of scallions along with bean sprouts. There were only a few little finely chopped scallions. It's also usually served with a couple lime wedges. The tofu green curry was nice and spicy, but a bit sweeter than it needed to be and very light on the veggies. But the tofu was perfectly done. The fresh spring rolls were ok, but a bit bland. The peanut sauce helped with that. The pot stickers were quite good. My guess is some of these things were light or missing to save money. Fresh ingredients = tasty dishes. I love the spring rolls, but they have a stronger fresh herb taste than some other places. All the curry dishes I've had from here have been really quite good. Delicious food but severely lacking in the service department. Took 40 minutes to get our food while new patrons consistently kept having appetizers delivered. My company ordered Lotus Leaf for carry-out during the week. As others here have mentioned, up until now, there had not been a decent Thai food option in Eden Prairie. Lotus Leaf has changed that. The food we all had was excellent. The only downside I can see is the prices are a tad on the high side, at least for my liking. All of the dishes were clearly freshly-prepared, with quality ingredients. The Egg Rolls were outstanding and actually a pretty good value. They were hearty and had plenty of meat. Two of us ordered the Spicy Basil Fried Rice with Beef. This dish was big enough to share, assuming you also ordered an appetizer. Great flavor in the dish. I would have liked to see a bit more to the fried rice -- it felt slightly too one-dimensional, like there wasn't enough diversity being added to the dish's flavor profile. We could hear the wok from the kitchen mixing the the delicious pad thai and curry we ordered.there are personalized tea pots and very light and controlled spice levels. We were super hungry and sat down ready for a great experience. The party next to us was seated 15 minutes after us. They had their food BEFORE us. One person in our party had their soda empty for over 10 minutes. The beer was always filled somewhat quickly because it adds to the tab. The food was ok but the service was so slow! The portions are pretty small as well. I don't understand why you order quickly and still have such slow service. There's plenty of places in the area you can choose. I would go here if you like second rate service and slow service. I'm not the first or last person to share this review for this place. Slowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!! Fill my soda!!! This place was recommended to me by my cousin, she lives nearby, I'm so jelly! I was really impressed by the flavors of the food and the service was great! We noticed they get a lot of take-out business. We ordered the Pad Thai (chicken and shrimp) and also ordered the curry fried rice with both chicken and shrimp. The shrimp were legitimate large shrimp, there seemed to be a good protein to carb ratio in our dishes.
