This man starts to place his head over mine attempting to KISS ME as he was massaging my shoulders. I felt his skin glide over my lips and I open my eyes to see him through the mirror over me. I haven't been to this place for more than 6 months but finally went back today because some (not all) of massage therapists here are pretty good especially Lynn. Lynn wasn't working today so I was assigned to a different therapist and she was the worst. I forgot her name but she didn't speak any English at all, so it was very hard to communicate with her. Even when I was trying to act/show her what kind of massage I wanted which she still didn't understand :( The worst of it all is their VERY AGGRESSIVE tip chart. For a $60 one hour massage they are asking for at MINIMUM 40% tip which equates to $25 - like WOW. The reason why I stopped coming here was more about how some of the therapists (not Lynn) would verbally harass you if you give them less than 40% tip - I usually tip $15 - $20 depending on how good the massage was. They didn't have this tip chart posted before, but now it is posted in every room, the hallway, entrance to the massage area, and I believe also in the restroom. So with that in mind. Got a 90 minutes massage from Sharon. She wasn't careful and burned me a few times with hot stones. My main complaint is I'm back here 2 days later because my left leg / hip area is in deep pain. I came here with issues on my right side and left with excruciating pain on my left hip / groin area. I spent $70 for the massage and $20 for the tip. This was the worst place! First, they don't trust you to pay, so they make you pay before the service and they only accept cash! Then they have the nerve to post a tipping chart on the wall telling you how much to tip! Basically, they expect anywhere from a 30% to 60% tip! I left a 25% tip and the owner texted me afterwards. They were yelling at me that if I ever want to return to them again, I need to leave at least a $20 tip! In my case, that would have been a 40% tip! I will never go back there again after being treated so rudely! They make you pay up front before the service, if they owe you back change, they make you wait until the end of your service to get it back! I know their games. They want to make you wait for your change afterwards, so you'll forget about it! The owner is rude and they lost me forever. I have told all my friends to steer clear of this place. Finally getting around to writing a review for lotus. For years now, say at least 1-2 times a month, sometimes even 3(pre covid), I've been coming here and have not been disappointed once. Im a bigger guy and my job requires some physical labor and i work out so my muscles get tight and sore: ie neck, shoulders, back, hamstrings, etc. Personally, Nat is my number one go to. But whenever she was busy, none of the other staff disappointed. They really understand the body here. One of them asked me if i trained in some sort of physical activity like kick boxing while massaging my legs... why yes, i do but how did she know? I still dont but she got to that just by feeling the muscles. Sometimes, i dont even have to tell them what hurts the most. They find it on their own, recognize it and then ask me if im injured/sore there and then work at it. I know this is stupid long but i wouldnt have if i wasnt sure, so bare with me. I also have dislocated both my shoulders multiple times and lost a lot of flexibility in my rotator cuffs. But after i have my shoulders taken care of here, i kid you not, i feel at least a 15% increase in my flexibility. When they open back up, i 100% can recommend you any of the staff here. If you dont believe me, thats fine. But go and witness for yourself. Communicate what hurts and let them work their magic. And then YOU let people know what you think after. read more

I have to give this place one star for the discrimination I faced at this location. I had a 6:00pm appointment and I decided to bring along my five year old daughter. After arriving , I signed in for my appointment and took a seat in the lobby. Within five minutes someone by the name of Hellen walked me back into one of the suits and told me to get undressed. I overheard Hellen speaking in a foreign language to another co worker in the suit next to me. Shortly , after Hellen came back into the suit and requested I pay before my deep tissue massage. I asked her why would I do that , I've been to many of massage places and this is very confusing . Hellen stated that was that's the policy in that particular location. My next question to her was well I was sitting in the lobby for around five minutes previously why didn't you ask me to pay then? She stated the once she walked me to the suit her manager asked her to collect payment from me . So my next question was if it was because of me being a black woman ? Due to her communication barrier it was hard to get a full explanation. Her, response was no because of the spike of Asian hate crimes she doesn't trust white or black customers. I actually felt mildly uncomfortable and was in awkward situation because I didn't want her to categorize me as one of those people, so I felt pressure to pay for my massage and give a tip. I will not go back to this place because of the racial profiling I experienced here and I would like to advise other people of color to do the same. read more

This place is a great value. I used to actually own a Thai massage in the valley and while I keep in contact with several incredibly talented ladies I found myself without any of them available yesterday and i was in pain and trouble with my shoulder. So i decided to roll the dice and try a different place. I had been to Lotus many years ago but I had no idea what to expect and after a phone call i was set up for 90 minutes. Upon arrival I actually recognized Gina as she had worked w me years ago. I could not recall her talent level but decided i would make the best of it and think positive. She has clearly been studying up on her technique because she unlocked my shoulder and truly gave me a chance to get better again. I will go back for a few more treatments because its not possible to work a miracle in 90 minutes but Gina was close. The place is clean and quiet and I would definitely recommend this spa to anyone that enjoys a true technically strong massage. Thai isn't for everyone because it can be painful but as they say "no pain no gain" And as the Thai people also say "i massage with my heart" Gina absolutely does that and I am very grateful. read more

The location isn't anything special, its in a strip mall, stickers on the door, but the service was great. They give a five dollar discount to CSUN students and the prices are already very inexpensive. I did a 90 minute deep tissue with Lucy and she was basically great. She was strong and attentive however she did randomly leave the room a couple of times but i was forgiving of that because she did a great job.
