I acquired a coupon from Amazon Local for this spa and made my appointment for today. Jackie gave me a an hour Thai/Swedish massage. She was absolutely amazing. In 60 minutes she released every ounce of stress from my body. It's been a long time since I had a massage and this was worth the wait. Her hands were gentle and wise. She knew where to rub, stretch and deeply push those knots out. I am a massage therapist and this is the first time I have cried during a massage, just from all of my stress being released. I had no idea how wound up I was. This was also my first Thai massage and I am now hooked. The massage, coupled with gentle stretching and acupressure was just what I needed. So I got 90 minute massage from groupon, great deal, excellent reviews on this place.Even booked an appt for Sunday afternoon. So what can go wrong? First off towel was damp on the bed. Ok I tossed it in the corner. Got passed that. Masseuse brought in warm towels to start on feet. They were pretty wet from the hot water she used to heat them. By the the time she got to second foot, towel was cold. Ok. Fine. Time for massage. She spent a good 30 minutes on legs. Good right? Nope. Barely touched the hamstrings. And barely any type of foot massage. Weird. Spent another 30 on my back. Very little pressure, even though I asked for hard pressure. Minimal lower back. The stretching at the end was also mediocre. Her hands were gentle but in some areas she knew where to rub hard. This is my second time where I went to a thai place where they really stretch your arms, legs, feet, thighs and head. I bought an Amazon coupon to try this place. Based on reviews, I really would like to get a massage here. I called Thursday morning before 10am to book for Friday. I got a generic voicemail so I left all the pertinent info. No call back. I called again @ 4 hours later (because I was trying to book for next day). Got a weird voicemail and left another message. Still no call back. I double checked and I'm definitely calling the right number. My coupon is expiring in a couple of days. It will be wasted money if they don't call me back!! First I came with a Groupon, but then became a regular. I have tried many other places, but this one is a keeper. Jackie was trained in a Thailand Temple and you get genuine Thai massage. Honestly, you can't judge a book by its cover because where this is located at doesn't seem like a massage place. However, when I walked in it was a whole new zone. Dimmed/low lighting, nice soothing music at the right volume, little snacks and candies, and water. The massage room was new to me because I alway had massage tables but this was a like a size of a bed, flat hard surface but with comfy cushion. Anyways, it was nice and warm (heated blanket/pad). I think it was a rolled up towel or something to place my forehead facing down and it was a good snug for my forehead. Overall, my massage was incredible, it's the best thai massage so far! This is a no-frills type of place but the massage will soon have you forgetting all that. They are located in a building with many other businesses, but they are on the second floor with their door marked Suwattana. The only unfortunate thing about this place is they are so small, probably accommodating three people at most, so even if I wanted to bring more people with me, we wouldn't be attended to all at the same time. Tina and Jackie are my usual masseuses. They know exactly the type of pressure I like and know all my problem areas that need attention. I've brought my family members, my boyfriend, and some of my friends here and they've all become repeat customers. It is $45/hr but if you're a repeat customer, they'll give you $5 off coupons. Do not book this place!!!! My girlfriend gave me a groupon for this massage place, so I call and book an appointment. Over the phone she said to call her back for the groupon voucher numbers, I called the place the next day and tried to give them the numbers, somehow they hung up the phone while I was put on hold. Later on that day I was on my way driving to the spa and got a call from them saying that they cannot accept the groupon voucher because I made the appointment without the voucher numbers. She would have to charge a full price for the massage. I replied that it should not matter because my girlfriend brought the groupon and it was a gift that is the reason I'm trying out this massage place. She still says no and that she would give a discount for $5.00 off from the full price. I end up canceling the appointment, because of such good customer service that I get. I have been going to Suwattana for over a year. the facility is nice and clean. Jackie is very good with her massages. I have not had a massage this thorough before I started coming here. Not only does Jackie give a great massage but includes stretching as well, which is what I really need also. Jackie is warm and friendly and always has a smile. I highly recommend. Jackie worked on my knots like they had insulted her mother, and went more than an hour because I had so many trouble spots.
