    Lunch drunken noodles
    Lala C.

Since I am working in the area, it has been fun to try out some of the amazing restaurants in the area. So many choices, yummy indeed! Housed in an older strip mall, this small restaurant offers a popular lunch buffet that looked quite fresh at 11:30am when I stopped in to pick up my to go order of drunken noodles with steamed tofu and added broccoli. Unlike some other places, no problem with my requests and my favorite condiment, vinegar with jalapenos, was provided. Only snafu was that I had requested no peppers but they remained as part of the dish. Also, the rice noodles were not wide- probably more medium which to me was not as authentic. Lunch included 2 crunchy nondescript fried springrolls. Portion was generous- hubby preferred the leftovers from Thai Am though.

Hunan beef ! Bad pic deserves more props !

The food was HOT and ready when they said , was still hot when I got back to my hotel! Fresh veggies cooked with my Hunan beef!

THAI BUFFET. THAI. BUFFET. I've never seen one before and I was so excited to try it. The inside is nice and clean and quiet, a nice place to enjoy lunch. It's $14 per person M-F. The selection was decent, akin to an Indian buffet but perhaps with a few more items. They had a good array of veggie and meat options to appeal to any diet (tofu, ground pork, chicken, shrimp) as well as appetizers (like edamame and some sort spicy wine-flavored red seaweed salad) and dessert. The offerings were definitely diverse and palatable. There was also the common, popular items like panaang curry and pad thai. My favorite was the ground pork in basil, great flavor. The pad thai was pretty good too. I will say though that most of the offerings are not spicy, as some may expect Thai food to be. The panang curry had a some spice but that was mostly it. However, I have a low spice tolerance so I thoroughly enjoyed it. It may not have much spice, but most dishes do have flavor, rest assured. There were a couple dishes that were a little more lackluster but hey, that's what's great about a buffet right? You can get a little bit of everything. Buffet is from 11:30-2 and we came in just after 1 which made me worry that we'd be left with the dregs of the morning's leftovers, as such has happened at some small buffets before. However, most of the platters were at least half full when we walked in and the owners told us to let them know if we wanted anything in particular refilled which was amazing. The service was great, they were very kind and pleasant. They came to take our plates when we stood up to go to the buffet and they would check and see if we wanted us to refill any of the platters despite the fact that they were closing soon. Definitely a gem and one I am glad to have found.

Yummy Thai is my husbands and I go to spot and we eat here once a week. The staff is so friendly and offers generous portions. I always get the chicken pad thai and it always comes hot and bursting with flavor. The sauce is a perfect blend of sweet and spicy and coats the noodles well. The rangoons are tasty also, the addition of the curry powder adds flavor that I haven't had inside rangoons before. Definitely a must stop if you're in the area!

The foods good But there's always a wait. I always order online or call in. My office is across the street so I walk to add more time to the initial 20 mins quoted after placing order. There must be an Air Conditioning issue since theirs a unit behind the buffet and at the front door. The website mentions the buffet available ftom 11:30 to 2:30 it's currently 12:38 local time and no buffet.(I know maybe b/c of covid- but the website should be updated)

Pad Thai was good, not spicy at all, next time I'll ask them to spice it up a bit for that hit you expect from Pad Thai. Vegetable spring rolls were really good especially with the provided dipping sauce. Prices listed on Yelp were outdated, see my picture of the menu for current prices.

This place is AMAZING! Family owned, which I love! The owners are so wonderful, and the food is delicious! I now crave their food All the time!!! When you enter the restaurant you will be greeted by Rebecca, and she's adorable! The service is awesome and like I said, the food is delicious and consistent!!!!!!! Thank you for always taking such good care of us!!!

Received a critter in my red curry! Disgusting. We ate here so much when the original owners owned it. We Have given it 4 try's with the new owners & it's been terrible & last night was the last straw! Not sure exactly what the creature was but it definitely had legs! Never again will we eat her or recommend EVER again!!

The papaya salad was different but had a lot of good flavor. The fried rice was delicious with a curry flavor to it! The Tao dumpling soup was super yummy! Would definitely recommend to a friend and can't wait to come back!

We arrived around 10:15 p.m. on a Friday night, with the restaurant closing at 11:00 p.m. Maybe that contributed to our experience, although several other parties were seated after us, so we weren't the last customers of the evening. We ordered quickly since we already knew what we wanted. My partner ordered the special, I ordered the ramen, and we shared the fried shrimp dumplings as an appetizer. Our server was friendly and attentive, though it was clear the staff was beginning to transition into closing mode. Unfortunately, that affected the atmosphere. While we were still eating, employees were spraying tables and mopping nearby. The smell of cleaning chemicals mixed with our food, which made the dining experience less enjoyable. When my ramen arrived, it looked more like a wonton soup or pho than the ramen I was expecting. I didn't question it because I assumed it might be their interpretation of the dish. However, the broth was quite bland, and the vegetables were still somewhat undercooked. The chicken had no seasoning, it tasted like it was boiled within the broth. After a few bites and sips, I decided not to finish it. My partner seemed to enjoy his meal, though he tends to be pretty easygoing when it comes to food. I didn't try his dish since it was very spicy and that's not really my thing. The restaurant is in a great location on Central Avenue, which makes it a fun area to walk around and people-watch. However, with most dishes priced around $20, I expected a better overall experience and higher quality food. Unfortunately, this isn't a place I would return to.

Even the cart on the street could do better work than a fancy one. So, walking into PIN Wok & Bowl I thought it would be worth the try. It could not be a bad choice. And it was not. It was authentic in many ways. Walking in we sat down and the gentleman came over with the menu and water. We took a lok and could not decide. It all sounded great. We knew we needed to have some dumplings to start. After that it was a touch choice. I was not decided so I asked what he would recommend if he had to decide. He told me he would get the RAINBOW BOWL. That was one of my choices. Placing the order we waited. And not for long. Out came the STEAMED PORK DUMPLING. It was well packed and had the correct dipping sauce. With my sticks in hand I picked one up, gave it a dip and tried. It was ideal. Think and rich. Well seasoned. Slightly warm and moist. It was perfect and just enough to give you a taste of what is ahead. And that did not take long. Up next we had the order. First was the RAINBOW POKE BOWL. This was a combination of tuna, salmon, cucumber slices, shredded carrot and red cabbage, a good portion of edamame, flakes of scallion, tobiko with kinchi sauce and a touch of sesame seed spicy mayo. It was wonderful. We also had Unagi Bowl, which is not easy to find. This was combination of BBQ eel, tamago, crab, shredded red cabbage, edamame, masago, with eel sauce sesame seed and scallion. Very traditional. And, as with the Rainbow bowl, the fish was very fresh. There was no problem eating it. It was a great meal, and at a great price. The team were perfect. And it does get a crowd of local people. Just as you would find if you were in. Thailand, Vietnam or in Japan. That is what is special. It is a combination itself with the food from the region which was always a mix of various meals that are combined and seasoned as one. It was like being living back in that area of the world. I already have an idea of what I will get next time I go. And, if I didn't I would just as one of the people there. They would recommend what they might order for themselves that day. As they say in Thailand: Khopkhun.
